Not a very Christian place, very hypocritical in fact, I use to love this place but I've been treated very wrong as a customer. Money will sure change people, and greed will stop them from helping everyone around them, if you're looking for help or an awesome place to shop at this is not the place I'm going to tractor supply an pay the extra just to be welcomed through the door. Telling all my friends bout this too. Good quality customers you lost. 👎

Only reason I shop here is because my layer feed and chicken scratch is cheaper than tractor supply. Everytime I go inside I get 150-200lbs of feed. The managers are standing there holding the counters up and will absolutely not help you load it on the cart or help you load it into your vehicle. They also have teenagers that work there and they don't offer to help neither. Most likely it's because they've never been taught by their managers about customer service. I do fine getting my feed on the cart and into my vehicle but they never offer. I think about the older ladies that go to get feed and might need a little help. I went today and got 150lbs. Two managers were holding the counter up 10 ft away and watched me load it up on my cart and never offered to help. I told my sister that was with me to watch and see if they offered to help. I loaded all the bags and they just stood there. She couldn't believe they didn't even say hello or offer to help. Customer service has gone out the window. Unfortunately I'll be back but just thought I'd bring it to their attention. Probably won't help.

Been there several times and am always greeted at the door and while shopping am asked at least once if we need assistance. Biggest thing is we always have a lot of bags of feed and someone ALWAYS offers to help us load it. Happy with this stores selection of products plus their prices. Have never had a problem!

I just don't understand who has raised this Young Generation to be disrespectful to everyone. I was just in Southern States on Highway 90 at Westpark. Sunday afternoon and the young man at the register was extremely rude he did not greet me or anybody else when we walked up to register. So as he's checking me out I asked him I said how are you today his response was whatever. To the management at Southern States I cannot believe all that y'all's employees talk to y'all's customers this way that was extremely unprofessional and extremely rude. I look for the kids name tag he did not have a name tag on with this incident happened on Sunday September the 25th at 12:52 p.m. so can someone please teach these people the customer service skills and talk to them about how rude they are to customers because this is not the first time he has been rude to me if you're going to work for the public at least learn how to talk to the public.

Have only been a couple of times. Friendly staff. Helpful. However I was asked if I wanted the "cheap" model or the "better" one. Not realizing just how much difference there was between the $29.99 "cheap" model and the $39.49 "better" model, I took the cheaper one. It was a hose and it developed holeS the very next day! Not a good product at all and I will never buy it again! I asked for more information about the differences and all I got was a shoulder shake! Because I was buying several, I opted for the lower cost. Big mistake. Next time, different store, different manufacturer!

I love this place. They have a wide variety of merchandise for the farmer, or the family who loves to keep their yards beautiful. Today I was shopping for Whitetail Deer minerals and I use Trophy Rock 465 religiously. It brings the Deer in all year long and gives them the nutrients needed to grow bigger racks and the Doe's grow healthier fawns. They also have a wide variety of food plot seeds as well, so check them out when you get a chance.

Need to update your business hours!!!! There were quite a few customers, myself included, who were expecting the store to be opened until 5p only to be told in a quite rude tone " you know we close at 4pm". Well not according to your website you don't! We walked in the store about 5 mins till 4pm. The front door was already locked. We came in the exit since those doors were wide open assuming it was some kind of Covid-19 one way in and out for cleaning purposes thing like many other stores are doing right now. At 3:59p the stores lights were turning off and all the employees in the store were at the front rushing everyone out. I've never had this experience ever! I don't make a habit of dropping into a store minutes before they close but I've also never seen a store basically shut down and throw people out seconds before their closing time. On my way out there were MULTIPLE people, in the parking lot, disappointed, checking their phones at the businesses listed hours, expecting the store to be open another whole hour because that's what your website and google listing says. Instead of being angry at customers, update your listing and post signs on your door like every other store saying you have new hours due to Covid-19 or whatever your reason for closing early. Your customers will be able to plan better and not "bother" you so close to closing. It was very obvious everyone working in the store was expecting to be on their way home at exactly 4pm and annoyed at having to work till "closing".

I honestly didn't know this place existed but I highly recommend if you happen to see one to pop in and browse it's similar to tractor supply but I honestly think it has lots more items and the prices are better

Cheaper on chicken feed than the so called discount pet supplies..if you have a bearded dragon and buy freeze dried meal worms..southern states has a huge bag in the chicken section 10 oz for 6.99..huge bag..I was paying 9.99 for a 2 oz container at pet smart for my dragon and there the same thing just one at pet smart is labeled for dragons and one at southern states for chickens.

Store hours state clearly that they are open until 8pm, yet they close at 6pm. Clearly a garbage managed place. Don't spend your hard earned money at this trailer park trash ran place.

If you're an animal lover as I am, dont shop here. They let cats live on their property yet starve them,all while saying they're trying to get rid of them although I've been the one going there for a little over 6 months and have seen absolutely no sign anywhere of them trying to get rid of them except by starvation. They dont mind selling and making money off cat products and food but choose to let them live on their property without ever giving them a bite to eat. Tractor supply is the place to go,they feed and shelter the ones on their property they dont just let them live and breed on their property. Southern States has made no attempt in over 6 months to do anything to prevent breeding,or the starving of these animals. I have religiously cleaned up the mess from where the big shot baldy at S States has daily stomped the little water bowls I had set out for these cats when it was 100 degrees. He purposely would stomp the bowls so that they didnt even have a drink of water. I only hope he gets thirsty on a hot day and hes refused water. That's the least I hope for this big shot!!
