We drove 5.5 hours to Statesville, NC on a whim to fulfill our oldest's request to dig for gems. While here, we searched for an activity and blueberry picking came up with our youngest. We chose this farm based on the reviews and distance. We called and Paul was very welcoming on the phone. Once there, he treated us like family. We go fruit picking as a family religiously (probably 40 trips total) and we have never been given this inviting and warm treatment by any owner. Paul went out of his way to make us feel like we weren't just visiting. He reiterated that we can eat as many blueberries as we wanted, and the kids can feed the fish and rabbits when we were done. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the greenhouse and fish tanks. The kids loved feeding lettuce to the rabbits and watching the two orange cats duck in and out of the bushes. Thank you to Paul & Cindy for being so gracious. The gem we found was this place.

We went here on July 4th with our 15 month old. She loved the experience! The owner drove us down to the blueberry patch in a golf cart and picked us back up, so we didn't even have to walk. He also gave us a tour of his fish tanks and let our daughter help feed the fish. He showed us the greenhouse and we got some lettuce and basil. They were fresh and delicious! Finally, he let our daughter pet their rabbits and kitties. She didn't want to leave! Paul and Cindy are warm and welcoming to people of all ages. 🙂

Best lettuce I've ever had all organically grown and just out right amazing. Awesome blueberries and more to come. Strawberries are amazing also great on a salad
