I used to love this store and have supported many goodwills for years. Today I found a nice mid-brand, clean pair of shoes with no marker marks on the bottom and plain orange stickers indicating they were the general Adult shoe price of $5.99. The lady at checkout (her sales rep user id from the receipt is CDESOUSA) decided they were “too nice” to be at the general price and said she needed to get then re- checked in the back. After a bit she came back to the register with $20 price tags now attached to the shoes and had 20x written all over the bottom in marker. So not only did they price them higher but they damaged them with marker. To say the least I declined to buy the shoes. This action on the part of this goodwill cashier does not ethically seem right. People donate these used items to goodwill for free. The whole point of a thrift store is so people who are struggling or on a budget can find used, good quality items for cheap. It would be one thing if goodwill marked these shoes at $20 from the beginning as I would have passed over them and looked for something else, but If goodwill “didn’t price the shoes right” to begin with, that’s on them. A customer shouldn’t have to shop for items at one price and then have those prices jacked at checkout on a whim by a cashier. Why would I trust or want to shop at a store that operated like that? It just isn’t logical or reasonable. I’ve worked as a Supervisor/manager in retail before and would never operate a store in this way. If we priced something wrong, we honored that for the customer. If this is the way we “transform lives and communities through the power of work” then I think I’ll pass. Very disappointing.

It is absolutely shameful that they would put out the small pet crate this nasty and try to charge $15 for it! At least throw the dirty blankets out before putting it on the floor! Manager of this store should be fired! Not shopping here anymore.

Everyone needs to ban Goodwill stores. For one they always begging for money round it up . I always ask to round it down that never happens. With a CEO making a million a year free inventory why beg for more money? Prices are way to high you can get same things at Salvation Army for 1/4 the price. Non profit whatever with a CEO making millions. Smh

Ours a clean store, friendly staff, and from time to time you find some good deals. Like other GW's though they can have crazy antique store prices on their merchandise if that think they know what it is. I still stop in though just to see, shoot today I picked up a $300 complete set of golf clubs for $31 out the door.

Ok store. Not much to offer. Some prices too high, some you get a good price. Shoes suck. And please arrange your store more effectively. It's hard to get around and over cluttered.

It was nice to go back there again, I live with a man that doesn't like to go to GoodWills, Yard sales, etc.So because he doesn't like to go to these places, I can't go as I don't drive I have to wait to fine someone to take me, and since I hadn't been able to go this place everything had changed around. Everyone was very polite. The store was pretty clean.

Great prices and great selection, rude customer service. Cashier went on break as I was coming up to his line he could see I was next in line. Complained to supervisor and she said cashiers have to go to break at certain times.

I enjoy thrift shopping and will always try to find local stores when I'm in an area. I drove past this one and decided to stop in. I was blown away by the crowded nature of the store and general disorder in general. The prices were exceptionally high. I realize they are trying to make money for a worthy cause but $8 for a not great cookie sheet and $10 for a glass pitcher seems over the top. Staff are not friendly and if you have questions you have to search to find someone who will help. On my (probably) last trip, I took my purchases to the register and asked the cashier about a set of valances where 3 of the 4 had one price and the 4th had a price double the others. She didn't ask anyone, offer to match the lower price....nope, she said all of them should be the higher price and she couldn't explain the lower tags but would only sell at the higher price. Poor customer service, high prices and decided lack of care over the store's appearance means I will need to be bored to go back. Much better stores elsewhere that aren't trying to make the most they can on every item.

Really nice staff. Usual supply of clothes and wares that Goodwill is known for. I will say that I think the staff at this location does a better than average job of screening items before they're put out for sale.

Very nice employees and helpful cashiers. I love the mask requirement enforcement. I shop here two to three days a week and will organized clothing racks. Always finding good finds!

Not a terrible store but the workers need to realize they are not gods. Today the indicated time to close was 8, I called at 4 to see if there was a time they stopped accepting donations, I was told 8. I pulled up at 7:20, no one in sight through the door. I called twice, no one answered. I left my things at the back and went in to talk to someone, to make sure they wouldn't be left out all night. This woman needs the pole removed from her bum, she told me they stopped taking donations at 6, I said thats not what I was told, she said "its fine! I'll clean up the mess." No good deed goes unpunished right?

Arrived at this Goodwill at 7:00pm to donate some items. Had checked the website and hours for donation on Monday closed at 8 pm. The bell rang when I drove across a cable by the donation door. Waited for a bit.....nothing happened. Another truck showed up and the bell rang again. Still...no person came to the door. Has to send my aunt inside the store to get someone. Once that person came to the door ( male medium-length, wavy hair, glasses). He was rude and handled our donations horribly. Dropped a box of glass items and just kept moving stuff around. I felt his bad attitude was uncalled for given we were there an hour before closing.

This store is overpriced, Ilooked through all the t-shirts and all they had were advertising shirts. I guess that's all they get or the employees get first choice. Went to Walmart and found t-shirts for 4 dollars. I never return to the Statesville store.

I will never shop here again. This stuff is donated to goodwill and the prices is way to high. When I purchased a pocket book and after I got it home I didn't like has much. When I went to return it they would not take it back. The only thing they take back was electronics and clothes, what is problem in taking a pocket book back. These clothes has been on someone's body but not a pocket book. Plus these things are donated. I would love to have a good thrift store that's not over priced. Everyone be careful what you purchase at goodwill cause you can't take back. I promise I will never give my money to this store again. Plus the many times I rounded to next dollar for the work force, problem put the money in there pocket.

Worst experience ever. I decided to buy a couple dresses and one dress was sheer and and had a same exact length and color slip underneath and the lady that rang me up said that the dress didn’t come with the slip and that I put it under it and could be theft. Will never be back . Also, yes the slip DID GO WITH THE DRESS.

I had a horrible shopping experience this time. Usually when I shop here I have no problems.Staff were not friendly. They were rather rude to me. They did not greet several people as they walked through the door. Before I left I overheard an employee using foul language to complain about the mess in the store. I really dont appreciate how I was treated. I think management should really evaluate their employees right now.

Found the exact dresser topper I needed for my 91 year old aunt's pictures, etc. The man working in the back was wonderfullystrong and easily managed to load it into my trunk! Love this place - May God bless their great staff!

This store is great about selling you broken stuff and giving you a hard time about returning it. Happened to me twice now. They'll let you exchange it but what good is that? Twice I've left unsatisfied with junk I don't want because I can't get my money back on something they should be looking at/ testing

I love goodwill. I come here about once a week and I always find some good stuff. My only issue is that a lot of things are way overpriced. 60 dollars for a second hand guitar in bad shape? Ummm...no thank you. If you're lucky, you might find some treasure that you don't have to pay almost retail for. It's kind of silly.

This store has a nice selection of always changing items. The selection is nice and so are the prices. It is nice to be able to go shopping for things that you want or need and can help give back to your community at the same time. You can also donate gently used, clean items to Good Will. This store is a nice big store that is easy to see from the road

The Goodwill store is the stop to find the gems at bargain basement prices. It takes patience and you have to keep going but sometimes you can find real treasures. Pianos and grandfather clocks and antiques and all sorts is special treasures if you look through everything. That is the fun. We always recommend.

Very friendly employees, they greeted every customer when they walked in the store. The selection could have been a little larger but in between customers they stayed busy adding out racks of clothes that just came off the truck.

It's a good sized store with good organization.To me some of the prices are high but on the other hand they have some real good specials. Guess it's a hit or miss kind of thing, but aren't most thrift stores?The drop off for donations is excellent.

The lady there acts like the dressing Nazi! She counted my turns outloud and in front of everyone! I’m wearing $100 shoes am I really going to steal from you!! Very rude! Tried to charge me double for a sleepwear set. Opened a new registers and that instead of taking the next person in a very long line let somebody just walk up and check out ! Not going back here !!
