I would rather go 15 minutes out of my way just to go to this Dollar general then go to the one on highway 16 in front of Bloom. The one on 16 the staff is very rude and disrespectful. That's why you always find me at Dollar general in Stanley because all the stuff there is absolutely amazing they're sweet they know you on a first name basis as well as I do theirs they treat you like family you know. So yeah I got 15 minutes out of my way to go to a store that treats me lucky human being

Nice people in and out, very low prices. Store could use a little cleaning or upgrade, but I always have a pleasant visit. Will definitely go back again and again. Love it I when I find great deals like half off, just look for the colored dots on clothes. They have some of the softest socks you can find anywhere !

I went there for the small packs of thank you cards but they didn't have them. However the night person was very nice and showed me the thank you cards they did have and some were 2 for 1. Not lying about this store I have always felt it needs a makeover. They keep it clean though so that's not an issue. Checking out was fast. So overall it was a good experience.

This is one of the worst stores, it looks dirty and cluttered always!! They never have enough room to get down the aisles due to product not being put away...you constantly have to wait for a cashier to even realize you are there, and sometimes they leave a spiked dogs toy to squeak to let them know you are waiting lol hilarious...I would bet they have lots of loss for those who just walk out of the store without paying because no one is ever up front

This location was usually pretty good but here lately it's been like the one in Mount Holly. UNORGANIZED! Tonight they had so many floats of merchandise on the sales floor blocking all the back aisles. Customers couldn't even shop. Not a good business practice

I am only to happy to tell you about my experience at Dollar General. Every one was so nice and friendly.. Asked if I needed anything, only too helpful to help me. I don't go your store that often, I have one in my neighborhood, I was out that day, ran in to get a few things. Loved it.♥️🌈

Crowded. Delivery day. Isles were blocked with stock carts. Makes it hard to maneuver a buggy. Should hire extra hands for those deliveries to be stocked more quickly n get those carts out of the way of customers. Infact ive done that type of stocking yrs ago. Id be interested in part time work

The place is a disaster!! It looks like they tried to cram 3 stores into 1. Isles have boxes is in them all the time. Its a maze to get to check out. Nothing seems to be where it is suppose to be. I've had one nice cashier and the others are meh. The managers aren't friendly AT ALL!! Truly not worth going to.

I've traveled a lot over the Piedmont , Foot Hills and mountain regions of North Carolina and 2 things I've noticed about every Dollar General I've visited while working, the store's are almost always cluttered mainly with their restocking carts. I've moved more than one just to get to the shelves. The other thing that has been a problem for a very long time, except for a year ago when the Stanley store tried to do better, but on the "clearance" isle almost all of the items are NOT marked with a price. I cannot take an item for a price check because out of the 2 Stanley stores the clerks are very busy and I can tell that they do not have the time to check prices.

I hope this review reaches the right person. back in February of this year we went back to NC to visit some friends that lived in Stanley, NC Something came up that we needed, so my friend said come on Dollar General is just up the road and that he shops there a lot. I told him yeah, that's all we have in the small town we moved to. Anyway, in two minutes we are walking in the front door. This Dollar General wasn't cluttered like the one near us, and had lots of items well stocked. Outside was ok in appearance, plenty of parking and easy in and out location. I did notice this one was located in a small strip mall unlike most that are stand alone stores. He told me the people are great there, he talks to them all because he been coming here since they opened. He said he gives one of the Managers coupons because she smokes Winston and they don't. We got our items, why waiting in line the local police showed up, we wondered what was going on. When we got to the counter and ready to pay for items we was approached by the police. We was told we could purchase the items we had gotten, but they needed to speak to us when done. Ok, this really surprised me, what was going on. The police informed my friend that the Manger had signed a paper and ban him from coming back to that store because of something that happen several months ago, he was totally shocked. He told the officer he had been coming to that store at least twice a week maybe more and this was all new to him. We left, on the way home I ask what he had done that was so bad to get him banned. He told me back in November he had went in there to purchase cigarettes for his wife with coupons. The girl behind register didn't know how to run coupons and the Manager was outside. she called the Manager in but she told the girl she didn't know what to do either just start over. By then there was a line of people he said, so he told the girl just don't worry about it and ask for his coupons back and would go elsewhere. No harsh words no tempers raised it couldn't be done so be it. He told me he had been using coupons here ever since they had been there. He buys his wife's cigarettes there. He told me the girl said sorry to him, and he told her it's ok. He didn't know this Manager, but It did upset him that the manager didn't know how to resolve the issue and correct it, he said she just walked back outside that's what upset him enough to file a complaint with Corp. in an email. If filing a complaint about a Manager not doing her job gets you ban from your local Dollar General what is the world coming to. It embarrassed me to be escorted from the store I'm sure he felt the same. I'll never use that store, use your own judgement. Getting banned for filing a complaint, SMH, it's unreal what goes on when the big dogs are away.

Stopped in for diapers and cat food. The two young men working there were so pleasant, helpful and professional. Very nice experience and excellent customer service.

They never have what I need in stock. They ways have tall carts full of inventory blocking the isles. And they never have 2 register's open. But they do have friendly people working there.

Not as cluttered as usual. Way to much stuff cheaper at walmart. Young cashier guy was nice. Didn't have to wait in line forever this time.

This Dollar General was a very nice place compared to the one on Hwy 16 in Lowesville, NC Neither one had what I was looking for. I bought these at the one one hwy16. Looking for vitamin C chewables to compare with Vic? something, that are more expensive but they are like caramels. Tks Jane Guy

Right now is a good time to get winter bargains there. I got a camo coat that was a size 6/7 for my grandson and it was a heavy coat that was originally $15.00 for $1.25. I am putting it up for a Christmas 🎁 present!

Dirty store, restroom "out of order", just generally a disgusting store. The new one in Iron Station is by far the cleanest, has the nicest staff and I will go miles out of my way to go to the Iron Station store and I'll avoid this one in Stanley like the plague.

Love this dollar general. I know where everything is. Store is always organized unless they are stocking. The cashiers are super nice so would recommend most definitely.

This is probably the worst DG in NC. I only go in this store maybe twice a year. It is always dirty, cluttered and I always get stuck with a rude cashier. I even had to ask Nicole if I could have a bag for my items.

I like shopping at this store because it always has what I want and it's close to my house. However, the iles are always crowded with new inventory and makes it hard to get to the product. They need to hire more people.

This store had most of the items I stopped to purchase and the cashier was very friendly. However this store seems very old and outdated compared to others I have shopped. The coolers were limited and some items that are carried at most DGs were not at this store.

Once again bad food the biscuit was hard the mc griddle was burnt asked for well done bacon. Not well done! Service from the pick up window was horrible. Won't be going back!!!

Took a friend that has disability of one leg in about 40 minutes before closing n she keep running up saying you need to hurry were closing n locking doors at 9:00. Her n young guy we're very rude to us. One on 321 highway Gastonia NC
