Was shopping there earlier and as I'm about to check out at the self checkout with my brother some female employee started following us talking to my bro and asking me how I'm doing by name and I don't know who she was and she was trying to put in some discount code for us like I don't need your Lil pity discount like go away and leave me alone. She was super pushy and rude about it too. I felt so uncomfortable I had to walk away and go wait in line and check my stuff out and the lady that did it saw that I was upset and she was very nice about it. But yeah I don't want to go back there again. Idk if it was a scam she was trying to pull or some promotion but I didn't want nothing to do with it. Like it was obvious by my body language and looks I didn't want to talk to her idk why she couldn't take the hint.

It is impossible to reach their tire center! I called 5-6 times over a 3 hr. period with no answer, then called customer service who stated she would page their dept. Still no answer and then I was disconnected. I was wanting to schedule tire installation so that I could place an online grocery pick-up at the same time as we live 35 minutes away! Other people have told me that it was a waste of time to try to get that dept. to answer their phone.

I honestly wish there were other super stores like Walmart. I'm thankful we have such a store. I would just love to see someone else also able to benefit from having such a wide variety worldwide super store. Until then....

While paying at the self check out area, I had a gift card. I tried to use the gift card but it would not work, so I asked the young man working at the check out area, if the gift card would work over here and he proceeded to say “yes of course.” I then tried to use it again where I asked if he could help me but he declined and said “it should work.” Walmart needs better employees!

Haaa... The employee says, "yea", when I told him need to put an out of order sign on the vending machine. Has 20 credits that is people have gotten ripped off because it's out of order. Pitiful people now days. He'd rather be on his phone.

Sorry but it's the only place here and they're going to have to do better we bought College cheese milk and refrigerated stuff out of there on Sunday every last bit of it was bad and we were almost poisoned by the Frozen cheesecake you need to check your refrigerators and get it together land of this in the hospital a lot of bills because of refrigerators not keeping stuff the way it should

Update Jan. 2024: They are renovating until the middle of April. So not all items are where they use to be (ask an associate as needed). Looking good.We always find what we need at Walmart. We enjoy the large selection of items. Has a large grocery store here also with low prices.

I would rate it better if they had better quality meats. It's fine to get everything else there but many times I've ended up with meats that in the end I wouldn't feed to dogs.Update: now caught this store selling meets claiming they are heavier than they are and the great value spices I bought had no seals on them when opened. Also rat ate potatoes in potato bags.

This happens to be my local store. Have only had two bad experiences here. Several years ago, one of the clerks stole from me by pretending to swipe gift card. Luckily, I was using it to get gas and promptly went back with the card and receipt and it was promptly taken care of. Last night was my second bad experience. An older man with a roll cart, in the deli section, screamed at me to move out of his way. I was looking at cakes and he screamed, rudely at me. I'm not sure I have ever been screamed at like that. I'm really not sure even why. I was only in the section a few seconds in the first place. I hope he doesn't treat everyone that way.

A very organized place, we found what we needed and took advantage of the Valentine's discounts. The restrooms were very clean! Plenty of space in the parking lot and no problems using self checkout machine.

This is our go-to Walmart! It is about a 40 mile drive from home (Marion Walmart is closer), but the fact that it's clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the shelves are stocked in every department and so on, makes the drive up the mountain well worth it for us. Happy to shop here:)

This store is in a perfect location. Spruce Pine is a small town, so there aren’t a large variety of store and things in the area. This Walmart is also quite large, and has a huge variety of things we’ve all grown to expect in a Supercenter location.

Walmart isn't what it used to be. You buy something you like and go back to get more, and they don't have it, or they have stopped carrying it. It's really hard to find things that your dog likes in treats, and they like them, and when you go back to get more, guess what they don't have them. That is with food, too, and so many of the shelves are empty.

took my car in for oil change this morning with stuck and stripped drain plug. service advisor said no problem. mechanic got old plug out and put in new. these guys went above and beyond to take care of me. great job

After neighbors repeatedly stole Walmart packages delivered by FedEx, they stole and intercepted mail , unfortunately it was lots of medication from the Walmart pharmacy during 2020. Luckily, FedEx conducted an investigation and the service log and statements from drivers revealed the neighbors were intercepting mail and took a package of medication. The pharmacy reviewed the investigation. After the sheriff wanted to defer the matter to the magistrate of the courts , they filled the medication and got permission from headquarters to deliver it to the house . This pharmacy prevented a client from medical emergency, medical injury, and death because they took action to make sure the patient had medication immediately. The team really prevented a crisis and tragedy for a member of my household . They also made sure to work out a solution for the future so that my entitled miscreant derelict neighbors couldn’t steal or destroy packages of medications . A review to headquarters about their excellence was given to highlight their professionalism, compassion, and valiance.

Friendly people happy to help with questions, but the store layout is terrible for how busy it is. There's barely enough room to get by other people in the aisles. I spent more time waiting for people to move than shopping. Not worth the hassle.

Walmart is my favorite place to go because we have not many places here in spruce pine but if your gonna gave self Check out you shouldn't have your worker's order and over people actually like they're criminals. Even when some haven't even done a bad deed in there whole life I understand the theft but it makes people feel uncomfortable and not wanna shop there
