We've had our puppy for 2 months now and he is everything I could have asked for in a companion. I work from home. So we spend a lot of time together. His name is Maverick. He moved all the way to Michigan and was excellent during the car ride.The breeders location looked delightful. All of the dogs were well kept. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I am still confident that we've made the right choice.

I recommend calling before you make a purchase online. I would even go so far as to ask if you can make an appointment to see available puppies and make the choice in person. The reason I say this is because I made the mistake of making the purchase online and then being informed the puppy I wanted from the sire and dam I chose was already sold. It was odd because the website had been updated just minutes before I made my purchase. I read another review that was similar so I am guessing this is a common issue. I was called the very next day and offered my current dog, Ghost. I was told the family that purchased him ended up backing out.Honestly we feel blessed to have found such an amazing dog and lucky the other family backed out. His temperament is perfect, he is intelligent, loving, and loyal.

I had a terrible experience with this breeder. The breeder acted very rude. From the start, I tried calling them five times and received no response. They finally sent me a text seemed like autogenerated asking me to leave a voicemail and wait for their reply, but I never received a reply. When I called again today to ask about puppies available in June, the breeder said she was in a hurry to help another customer and spoke so quickly that I didn't get the information. They told me to pay the deposit on their website and did that. But when I asked about the availability of puppies in June, they told me October. When I asked for a refund, the breeder became rude and accused me of not speaking clearly on the phone and not leaving a voicemail. Despite apologizing, the breeder was still rude even after I thanked them for the refund.

We had an amazing experience! Ashley was communicative at every step, including after we brought him home. We had lots of questions and Ashley was happy to answer them all! Our puppy is sweet and happy and we completely recommend Arrowhead Acres and would return for our next pup!

We purchased our Westie puppy from Arrowhead Acres and could not be more happy with our sweet little girl! Everyone at Arrowhead definitely loves dogs and are all so knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well organized. We especially found April to be extremely helpful- she sat with us, listened while we told her what kind of puppy our family was looking for, and she even helped us pick the perfect fit! Our puppy has the best temperate of any dogs we have owned and is truly an incredible addition to our family. We will definitely be coming back to Arrowhead Acres in the future!Update 7 YEARS later! Our sweet girl is the BEST still! She is gentle, learns fast, has never chewed on anything a day in her life, and is the best little dog friend. The best part is that she has had a great health history too!!

Very hard to get someone on the phone or respond to emails but finely about 6 months ago we were able to get a Westie puppy. This is my second from Arrowhead. She is a loving puppy and the focus of our family. I got my first Westie there in 2006, so they are a long standing business.

I just picked up my girl Westie almost a week ago. I brought her to her doctor and he said she appeared to be in good health and had no fever or sign of sickness. He did although say he was a bit concerned with the standard amount of vaccines and treatment their puppies receive before they go home to their families. Although he said the treatment they received will not be lethal it does seem a bit excessive and unnecessary. We concluded that they may have just been taking extra precautions because of previous issues or just trying to provide the best health for their puppies. The only problem with this my doctor said was that over doing treatment can weaken the effect of each of the treatments and actually do less than more.As for the kennels, they were extremely clean and spacious. I was exceptionally happy to see where my Westie was living because some of the other reviews had said the conditions were poor or resembled a puppy mill. I’m not sure if people just aren’t educated on what exactly a puppy mill is but arrowhead acres was definitely not that. The kennels had their own separate a/c units and the dogs all had plenty of room to play. Of course, there is a good amount of dogs there.. it’s a puppy breeder! The ground was picked up and clean of poop. The dogs looked very happy and were all friendly and well socialized. My Westie has a great personality and does well with my older Westie. (They are already becoming the best of friends!)The breeder also used kibble supported by science and nuvet plus which is an amazing multivitamin for dogs.The staff was nice and very personable. I asked many questions and she was more than happy to answer them without question.All in all, Emailing back and communication could be faster at times but what we have to remember as customers is there are a lot of us and not as many as them.. they do get back to you but sometimes it may take a few days. Especially since the demand for dogs sky rocketed since Covid.This is actually the only breeder that got back to me out of the 4 I reached out to. I’m happy with my choice of breeder and would recommend to others. When it comes time for another Westie, Arrowhead Acres will be the place I call!

We picked up our little Westie, Macie Saturday (9/26/20). She is everything we could hope for. She is extremely well socialized, spunky and sassy. She just got her first checkup from my Vet yesterday and received an excellent bill of health! The whole staff fell in love with her. We saw the adult Westies out playing and "socializing" with the people waiting to pick up their puppies. They looked happy and very well cared for. I would highly recommend this breeder.

I am only writing this so that hopefully a better quality control will be implemented by Arrowhead. We had picked and purchased a puppy with Limited AKC. We were looking for a specific look with the sire and the dame. After months of looking we had finally found and settled on one specific Westie. After buying everything needed for said puppy we receive a call just days before we were set the receive the puppy saying the the puppy was accidentally given to a couple from Maine who flew in to look for a pup. We were offered a boy from another set who's sire and dame were nothing like we had in mind. The owner called and was also very apologetic for the record. Anyhow hopefully me writing this helps to prevent this from happening again. Rather than having to tell my child the bad news we fortunately found Foxcreek Kennels which had just what we had wanted. Very helpful in every aspect. They do not fly any of their puppies out but they are well cared for and was worth the 7 hour drive to pick up our puppy.

We picked up our little man a few weeks ago from Arrowhead Acres Westies. The staff at AAW are absolutely wonderful! We spent about an hour and a half at the facility where we saw all the dams/sires playing about in their separate areas, played with our little guys full litter, and were given a lot of guidance for what to expect during his first few weeks with us. This went well above my expectations. We could tell that the staff cared very much about the future wealth of their pups.Our little Winston is such a great pup! He was potty trained and crate trained when we brought him home - directly as a result of the great care he received at AAW. His first visit to the vet was great - one happy and healthy little guy. I just cannot say enough about the quality of the AAW facility and staff - and how wonderful our little guy is!
