Couple of out of towners looking for coffee and good food.. we both got the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. If you're looking for a ninja turtles style cheese pull from your grilled cheese and a delicious house made soup, travel no further!After backpacking in the Grayson highlands this was a wonderful place to stop by. The atmosphere is a little crowded but overall everything was delicious. The people around are friendly too but not too much seating around. I called to place an order but I think it was forgotten (then the food taken wasn't what I origionally wanted but I ate it anyways because I was just super hungry. Service was pretty quick too which was nice. It still tasted very good, but I prefer mushrooms in my omlet.). So grateful for this pet friendly spot for. My esa Elektra definitely appreciates the outdoor seating option for her.

The other day I had the pleasure to once again stumbled down the mountain and ended up in Sparta in search of breakfast food. I was very pleased to land at Becca’s backwoods where the atmosphere is extremely inviting and relaxed. I was greeted by the owner /baker who had just pulled out the croissants out of the oven. I have never seen such big croissants. When I get a ‘pain au chocolat’ at other places I am normally hard pressed to find enough chocolate in the croissant. At Becca’s chocolate lovers will always find enough chocolate inside that bread. Moreover, at Becca’s you will find an eclectic array of teas, foreign styled coffees as well as European lagers that satisfies the palate of the traveler. The staff is very nice and welcoming. If you are in the area of the #blueridgeparkway, do not hesitate to stop by. You will not regret it.

We've been here before; Becca's consistently performs well. We got coffee and pastries to go; all were outstanding. Cafe con leche was not what you easily find in FL at Cuban shops, but it was very close - and very good!Parking: We used street parking on US 21, the main drag. It's busy, getting out of the car and later pulling out can take a while.

You need to visit Becca's if you are in or near Sparta. The coffee and food are great and the staff are very friendly. The shop is very quaint. This was our first visit and we enjoyed it a lot.

Small town café featuring coffee and what I assume is a daily board menu? This place is so cozy. I had a Chai Latte (made with fresh spices), black bean soup (vegan, no or little salt, delicious), and veggie flatbread (tons of veggies and avocado, also vegan), and two slices of the fresh baked wheat bread. Oh, so good. Easy on the wallet as well. Staff are helpful and nice. Parking is curbside from what I saw, though I didn't really look for additional parking. Highly recommend.

Hosted a baby shower here today and the experience was absolutely outstanding. First the space has so much charm and is very well decorated. Pictures I saw online in advance did not do this place justice at all. I will post pictures from today once I collect them. The food provided was all top notch, fresh, and something for everyone. Our server/barista was very kind and inviting. We loved her! The price point was perfect. Could not have done this at home for cheaper, space was beautiful, and they do the dishes! ;)The coffees/espressos we’re excellent and I am so picky when it comes to lattes !I wish I was a local because this would be my spot every morning on the way to work.I highly recommend this place to host your next event AND it needs to be your local brunch spot/coffee spot :)

Becca's Backwoods Bean Coffee Shop was recommended by the host of the Airbnb that we are staying at in Sparta. I and my two little girls were excited to go to this coffee shop. Upon entry, the staff just looked at us without even greeting us or saying anything. I said "hi", but the guy with the beard just looked at us without even responding. It was a very uncomfortable experience. We ordered pastries and I asked the guy what they have for drinks for my two little girls. He just pointed at the board and gave a little chuckle. We were disappointed with the animosity shown by the staff.My daughter did not like the cupcake that we ordered, so we bought another cake. The second guy (the taller one) was better as he asked us if we needed anything else.

Went to Becca’s for the first time from out of town. Appeared to be a pleasant, quaint mountain coffee shop. The lady we were meeting brought in outside cupcakes for a trial wedding cake tasting. We were two-thirds finished when we were rudely and loudly told by the owner, in-front of other customers, that we needed to leave due to no outside food, although there were no signs posted and had made an employee aware before ordering of the reason of our visit. We quickly scarfed down the last 4 bites, while the owner stood at the counter staring, pointing, and talking to her employees and other customers about us. Ruined a good wedding planning memory, as the rest of the time felt rushed and awkward! While the drinks were good and upon entering for the first time seemed like a very likely place we would return and recommend to others, the owner’s snarky disposition and the embarrassment of the owner, employees, and other customers staring at us after the scene she made, left a bad taste in our mouth that we will not return to have again… Had this situation been handled professionally and in a more private manner, this whole embarrassment of an experience could have been avoided.

I'd be happy to buy more coffee if you were ever actually open. Who closes at 5? You closed early on Wednesday at 3 and the door was locked at 5 on Thursday when your hours are till 8:30PM. I work till 5 like most and it would be nice if you'd stay open till 6. Be open more, sell more coffee.
