A positive review out of a sad day. After my sweet boy was hit by a car, I ultimately had to make the decision to let my chunky boy rest. It was a horrible day filled with hard decisions but the staff was beyond compassionate and gave me space and time to grieve. I never felt rushed to make a decision or leave the room. I had nothing but support from the entire staff.Jodi at the front desk was gentle with me as I had to fill out paperwork. She gushed over how great my cat was and how much she loved him. (He was a bit of a frequent flyer there).Dr. Rainier was an angel in scrubs as she sat with me as I loved on my Cooper one last time. She was so sweet with him and just gave me space to feel the loss of a family member.As terrible as today was, it was made bearable by the lovely humans at this clinic. They care so deeply for the animals they look after.Thank you for taking such good care of my family on one of the hardest days.

This is a sad review. I brought my two dogs in after a bad fight. I had to unfortunately put one of them down, and the other one needed emergency treatment. This was my first experience in losing an animal like that, and you never know how much you love them until you have to make a decision about their life and live with it. We miss him terribly.The staff took great care of us. They were patient and understanding. They loved our dogs and helped the process be as painless as possible.We just left from a follow-up for our other dog and they were excited to see him. They show great care in your situation and care about your animals. Thank you for being kind to our boy and helping him across the rainbow 🌈 bridge

The staff is so nice. Our kitty has a unique name and each staff member made an effort to correctly pronounce it! We also learned a lot about our kitty’s health. I highly recommend this location and would definitely come back!

Such a great place to get care for your pet! My dog had an emergency and we were recommended this place. Prices aren't insane for a vet place too! I definitely thought everything was going to be much more for my dog so it was a nice relief to find out it wasn't as expensive as I anticipated. Dr. Reinier is wonderful and seems to really care for animals as does their front staff ☺️

Urgent vets for pets gave our dog Angel the best care. She was in congestive heart failure and they got her right in and took good care of her. They were patient with us and took a lot of time with us and explained everything that was going on with our baby. They made good recommendations and thanks to their promptness, they saved our dog’s life. If I could give them more stars, I would! I highly recommend this place.

The people that work here are amazing! I'm so thankful for the service they provide. It's often 2 weeks to get your pet in to see a regular vet and it's just not feasible to wait that long with some things. The care they provide is the best, and they are so kind and courteous and patient. I cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Reinier is the best! You can tell she has a passion for the work she does. Every time I’ve brought any of my pets here, for small things or for really bad things, she handles each situation with love and care. This clinic is one of the very best and I drive over an hour to get here. As long as she’s a Vet, I will be a client!

I wish there was more stars to give!!! We rushed our senior boxer here one morning, we called ahead of time and the staff met us at the car with a gurney. The care, support and knowledge of the staff here is heart felt and you can see how much they love each and every animal they work with. I can't not say enough about how much we felt cared for during such a difficult time that morning. If you are reading reviews to see if they are a good fit for you and your fur baby. They are!!!! I could write a whole chapter on the care, service and team that helped us that day. 100 Stars!!!

Dr Reinier and staff are beyond amazing. They quickly diagnosed and saved our sweet girl Nova. I wish they were full service, they would be our permanent and forever veterinarian. They truly care about animals and understand that pets are family members. If you are having an emergency this is THE PLACE to bring in your baby. We will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion.

The staff at Vets For Pets was kind, caring, and took the best care of my sweet boy, Butters. I walked into their clinic bawling and thinking my poor cat wasn’t going to make it. They immediately took him back and got him comfortable. They kept me updated on everything going on with him, and went over pricing and concerns before they went forward with treatments. Butters pulled through, and I credit it all to the wonderful staff!!! He’s now back to his normal self, and I couldn’t be happier to have many more years with this sweet boy. I had to make the hard decision to let my senior dog cross the rainbow bridge this morning. I am so thankful that I was referred to Urgent Vets for Pets. They made one of the hardest days of my life more bearable by simply being kind and patient. We drove an hour to get to them and it was worth it. Thank you all for your kindness and love today while Luigi passed on.

Yesterday was the most dreaded day of my 33 years of life, I had to make the gut wrenching, heart breaking decision to put my 11 year old best boy to rest. I wouldn't have been able to make the decision without this truly wonderful staff who I cannot thank enough. Dr. Walter is hands down amazing, to her core she is one of a kind and the most genuine soul. I know it was close to closing time when I returned to see how my boy was doing, but they didn't rush me to make a decision, they took their time, they didn't have to but they did. They gave me all the time I needed as I sobbed on the floor with my boy and loved him one last time, as I sobbed while they put him to sleep and said the sweetest words to him while I couldn't, they truly gave me and my boy the best care at the worst time. I will be forever grateful he was surrounded by so much love and kindness in his final hours.

Everyone is friendly. My rabbit was so scared, and the tech and vet treating her were patient with her. The vet is knowledgeable, and wise in best practices for what my rabbit needed. Being a big and Fiesta rabbit, I was unable to administer her medicine, so I took her back to the clinic and the pros happily handled that for me.

I cannot say enough about the kindness and professionalism my baby Saylor, a chow mix,and I were shown on Good Friday. Saylor who was 17 1/2 yrs old, health has been declining over the past few months and Unfortunately the day came on Friday and our regular vet was closed. From the time I phoned and spoke with Deanna, to when walked in, he and I were treated with so much kindness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you, Vet Assistant Janine, Dr. Taylor Zumbusch, and of course Deanna. ❤️🐾❤️

They were wonderful with my cat Buddy. He had played too hard and gotten to his stitches after being neutered from the spay neuter clinic in Fayetteville l. His incision became infected so I brought him here. They loved him and took good care of him. Reasonable prices for urgent care. Tysm! 💕💕💕💕

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our sweet Minga dog a few weeks ago. While visiting with family in Southern Pines, a mass on Minga’s spleen burst and she started bleeding internally. The staff at Urgent Vets for Pets were amazing. They walked us through each step of the process with compassion, kindness, and support. They were knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed Minga’s condition, providing us with an understanding of our options. They supported our entire family through the process and helped us make Minga’s last day special by giving her a brownie, danish, and peanut butter before we said our final goodbye. I was nervous taking Minga to a new vet while we were away from home, but they treated her with so much love in those final hours. Thank you to Dr. Emily Reiner and her wonderful team. We truly appreciate everything you did for Minga and us.

I owe Dr. Reinier and the staff of Urgent Vets for Pets my heartfelt gratitude for their treatment and care of my sweet 15-year-old cat, Nip. On Thursday, February 15th I rushed Nip to Urgent Vets. I knew something was not right but was at a loss as to what the problem was. Dr. Reinier and Urgent Vets for Pets staff immediately suggested a list of potential tests and procedures that would help diagnose Nip's problem. They indicated they would start with the priority items on the list and only add others as or if necessary. At the end of the day, I took Nip home understanding that she had congestive heart failure and that she would require medication for the rest of her (likely brief) life.The next morning, I awoke to find Nip lying next to the heat register in our bedroom. She was obviously in distress, so I wrapped her in her blanket and my husband drove us back to Urgent Vets for Pets. On the way Nip's health quickly declined and, as we were pulling into the parking lot, she died in my arms. Leaving Nip and me in the car, my husband rushed into the office and immediately a staff member hurried out to the car and checked Nip's heart rate. She then gently took Nip from my arms and went inside to have a veterinarian confirm what I think we all knew - Nip was gone.Thank you Dr. Reinier and staff for the excellent care and compassion you exhibited not only to my beautiful, loving family member, Nip, but also to my husband and me. I am especially grateful that I was able to remain in the privacy of my car. It allowed me a few final grief-stricken moments to privately say goodbye to Nip before Urgent Vets for Pets staff gently and sadly took her from me.Nancy

I can not say enough about the experience we had in taking our dog Rudy here. Our normal vet was not able to fit us in, so we had no choice but to use Urgent Vets for Pets. Our dog had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer a week prior and we were out of state. Once our dog sitter called us, and let us know she thought he was dying, We immediately flew back home, and brought Rudy in first thing Monday morning. From the quick new patient registration process, to the vet tech and finally to the Vet Emily Rainier, they could not have been more caring and helpful through the process of blood work and next steps. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to put Rudy down. This was a very agonizing time for my wife and I. While it was not the first time, we’ve had to put a dog down, it was the hardest after a loving 12 years together. The compassion shown by everyone that helped us that day was desperately needed as this was a short time frame we had to deal with. Many kudos to all the staff at Urgent Vets for Pets. We would recommend them highly in emergency situations or any situation needing attention for your pet. Couldn’t have had a better experience in what was an awful situation we were dealing with.

My pup stopped putting weight down on her leg after she jumped off the back of the couch. They were able to tell it was broken Within 15 minutes of be there and cast get leg. She had surgery the next day to put multiple pins in her leg at UNC. She is doung great ! The staff here was wonderful with my baby girl!

My Pitbull, Tommy, had a cough and I was really worried. The people here were very friendly and I could tell they really care about the health of our pets. The exam rooms were exceptionally clean and are cleaned after each pet leaves, that speaks volumes to me. I was given pills for his cough and antibiotics for infection. I am so happy it wasn't kennel cough. They are awesome but I truly hope I won't see them again any time soon.

I just want to say that this place is the best all around, wonderful service, wonderful staff! My dog had to have an emergency c-section after giving birth the day before to one puppy (who survived for 9 hours), I wasn’t sure what to do but I felt she had more puppies inside called so many vet centers with no answer. Finally I was sent to Urgent Vets for Pets and they said yes bring her in we’ll give her an X-ray to see if there’s any pups in there. I was hoping there were no puppies left in her cause the time lapse of her having the first pup till then most likely if there were pups they probably weren’t alive and It was just hard to take in any more bad news. They gave her an x-ray and she had 2 more pups in there😢. Well fast forward it was a Great Day at Urgent Vets for Pets cause they saved my Tulips life and the life of one of her pups that was in her for 20 hours after giving birth to the first pup 😁! Another thing, I was quoted a price for the c-section before I arrived at the office and it was $$$$ but when they finished everything I was only charged half of what I was quoted so that was a huge plus as well!!! I really felt taken care of here from the front desk, to the patient room even in the parking lot!!! I just wish I got everyone’s names cause they all were awesome!!! Thank you all at Urgent Vets for Pets!!!!! I most definitely will be coming back here for any of my fur babies urgent needs!!!

Outstanding care. Explained everything and answered all questions. Also had great advice and suggestions on some of my questions. My Shar Pei needed staples for a leg laceration, they did a culture on her ear infection for the drops we were using wasn't taking care of it and trimmed her nails. Wasabi was a recent adoption rescue and Dr Reinier and tech Mandy were fabulous in how they handled her while in their care. Thank you so much!!!

Superb experience every time I have gone with (3) different cats. Brought two to be euthanized due to illness/ age and staff was kind and compassionate. I haven't felt they are scamming the pet owners to make a buck.
