OMG ❤️😍 Jay did an AMAZING job! I would definitely recommend Paws and Claws grooming, not only was my groomer (Jay) very informative but the office also communicated with me about how Zoey’s behavior was! My dog and I had a wonderful experience- from the first phone call, greetings, service , and time it took to be done. Everyone is friendly and professional. My dog was very handsome when he came out, shave, bath, and nails done. This was a positive first experience.

If I could give them negative stars I would. They completely shaved our Scottie and said she was ‘matted’. She was not. They said she had a ‘skin condition’. That’s like going to a hairdresser and having them shave your head because you have dandruff. The few hairs they left on her head were not shaped. Paws and Claws is just bad, lazy hair removal. I have literally never seen a worse dog haircut. Nothing says “I don’t care about your pet” quite like a photo. They turned my Scotty into the Lorax. 😭

This was the second time my fur baby, Lilith, went to Paws N Claws for her grooming services. She came out looking, smelling and feeling AMAZING after both visits with Kelly, who’s so sweet & amazing at what she does! Would definitely recommend to all! 🤩

Haircut is always good, and groomers friendly. Does take longer than anywhere else I've been, but I'm told 4 hours is typical, and $100 ($87 + $13 Tip) isn't cheap but inflation is what it is. I'd still recommend for the area, as they do a very good job. Panini loves her haircuts!

Took my dog to get groomed with Paws N Claws. This was our first time at this groomer, and I was a bit put-off when I first came in to drop my dog off. The groomer wasn’t really friendly and didn’t seem to understand what I wanted even when I showed a couple reference pictures. He also didn’t try to clarify or understand what I wanted, he just walked away to grab a leash. It felt like he just was trying to get me out of there. I honestly was hesitant to leave my dog with him because I wasn’t sure what I was going to come back to. My dog’s groom was ok—it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great. Once I got home and started inspecting my dog a bit closer I noticed the hair on top of his head wasn’t cut evenly and he had some weird parts that were longer than others. I understand dogs move around but I was hoping for a better result. He did smell very good and was very soft, and they did a great job cutting/grinding his nails and brushing his teeth, but the cut left something to be desired.

Oh…my…goodness! I had my two long haired dachshunds groomed on December 30 and was very pleased with how they fit me in last minute and the job they did on both my fur babies. But, the best part is that today is January 11 and they still smell great. The shampoo they use is long lasting and I’m buying some the next time we’re in town. Thank you so much!

I have been in NC for almost 7 years and took my fur babies to a place in Goldsboro, and it caused them to get off track. So I groomed them myself until I met this group of nice people. I Now reside in Raleigh and it takes me about 30 minutes to get to this great group! I am truly blessed that my fur babies have a home away from home, they are truly kind and love the work they do. Thanks guys for making my fur babies feel right at home....as long as I have fur babies you will definitely be the ones to groom them.

Oh, let me tell you about this amazing lady in Smithfield! She's the only one who seems to be working tirelessly. I've called her a couple of times from different occasions and she's always there, ready to help. I really admire her dedication and her genuine love for animals. Today, she gave my furry friend an awesome haircut, but I must admit, I wasn't completely blown away. It felt a bit rushed, and my Yorky didn't quite look like himself. I'm not sure if she did the trimming or if it was one of her colleagues, but regardless, she's such a sweetheart and her love for animals shines through. Oh, and her establishment is spotlessly clean too!

So after taking my dog to this groomer.. not only did it take 6 hours to get him back but they complained he was not sitting still well but he was in a cage waiting for his turn for 5 hours before receiving his cut!! As i walked in and was waiting for my dog (15 minutes to get someone to give him to me) i overheard the team speaking on how they could get a job done if people would quit calling asking about when their dog would be done … well maybe hurry up or don’t schedule all at the same time? my dogs appointment was at 10 and i picked him up after 4.. that’s ridiculous. NOW let’s get to the cut… the groomer told me he had no matting and could tell we frequently brush.. (as we do?) WELL.. he came back naked from head to toe. When i asked for a teddy bear head and paws.. All they could do was blame him saying he was fidgety.. well he’s a rescue and been cooped up for 4-5 hours waiting for his haircut? I would be more understanding if the groomers tone didn’t come across EXTREMELY condescending and just plain rude. 0/10 recommend. second and LAST time we are using this company. $90 for my dog to look horrible and have inner ear irritation (which was blamed that hair was in it from them cutting and hair still being in there? but NO they cut his ears)

I have brought my dog here in the past and they have always done a great job. So I was of course expecting the same in my current visit. The cut and everything was fine but when I got home I noticed my dogs eye was super watery and swollen I thought maybe something got in it so I checked and nothing, not sure if they got something in his eye or they cut wrong around it and thought not to mention it to me. I’m pretty sure they have new groomers and the one I had for my dog made me super hesitant to even leave him there. This place is a no go now !!

I recently relocated to NC from NY & this was Chewie & Kylo’s 1rst appointment @ Paws & Claws. It was very easy to schedule an appointment. Once we got there, the place is very clean & smells great. My 2 small dogs who are usually very anxious & nervous seemed to feel very comfortable there. Unfortunately I did not get my groomers name, but Kylo snuggled right up to him from the very beginning!!! Their haircuts came out great & they smell great 2!!! From what he told me they did great!!! They seem to be very organized & efficient there as well!! Thank U so much for making their 1rst experience there a good one!!!

All the staff are helpful and friendly. Michael is great. He does a wonderful bath job on our Sadie and he acts like he loves her! Danielle always takes care of her other needs that require some extra attention. Good value and excellent care.

I took my puppy to be groomed at Petsmart in December. It was done very short. I have the pictures to prove it. It's been 3 months!!I went to pick my dog up. He is 26 lbs. And I was given a naked rat!! I was feeling sick so I paid $90+ dollars and left. When I got home I noticed his eyes were dirty and his nails were not trimmed. He was not "matted " as bad as the guy at the front desk claimed him to be. Also he had me sign a paper and walked to the back and left me waiting for the longest at the front desk. Until another customer walked in and someone from the back came in, took care of the customer & told me it was OK for me to leave the paper on the desk and leave. I need someone from this office to call me so I can show you proof of the last time my dog was groomed and how bad he is shaved now. He is SKIN ONLY!!

First time coming here and Danielle was the sweetest and able to fit our pup in the very next day! A bit of a drive for us (30 mins), but when you can’t find decent groomers in your area you seek outside your town and word of mouth. So very thankful to stumble on this gem. All the girls are super nice, place is very clean, and even smells so good when you walk in! Excellent, not over rated, prices to boot. Run, don’t walk to this place and ask for Danielle ! 🐾

Great place. The staff was friendly. The groomer was great with my dog. He went straight to her which is unheard of for him. He is a Pomeranian and I’m very picky and his cut was perfect no touch ups needed. I will recommend others and I will be back for our next grooming.

My 11 week old Cavachon puppy was treated and loved on so well by all the staff. I was reassured that they would slowly work their way to the bigger steps in the grooming process to minimize stress for his first grooming visit.
