I purchased a comic book slab graded cgc from this company. This comic book was mailed very well and hard to get into. Great packaging! Inside the well packed box was the worst fake cgc slab I’ve ever seen. A graded of 9.6 with white pages and the cover was so off center you could see the brown pages in the comic book behind the cover. Don’t trust this company they will fake slabs to make a dollar!!!

Is this the most exhaustive, biggest collection of availability of everything tabletop game and comics? No. It's a quaint little nook in a small town. Its charm is its friendliness and, in my experience, willingness to help those who are unfamiliar with the atmosphere. I've had many questions as I venture into buying single issue comics rather than trade paperbacks as I always have, and the enthusiasm I've received for my questions have been conversational, memorable, far from business-obsessed, corporatized impersonality. It's a friendly space. They manage game sessions, although I have yet to participate myself, but I've come to trust it would be worth the while from other customer experiences I've had.There is a notable distribution issue. This is a reflection on the distributors, not the shop itself. Again, this is an independent comic book store in a small town. If you're looking to follow a run, it's not unlikely that you'll experience a wait that feels unfair and is out of the hands of the owner operators of this location. They can write to their representatives, but the singular complication I've had with this place is getting my orders. Aggravating, but understandable.It's not the sparkliest, most thrilling, thematic shopping experience. I would call it plain for the most part, far from dirty or unkempt. It's simple and, here, simple is good. It's a good space.

The store is terrible. Any time I've been in I've been ignored by the staff who were too busy playing card games. The comic selection is very limited with a small table off to the side with two bookshelves of TPB. The store is about 70% tables and chairs for card games.

Love this place. Met so many of my friends here and made such great memories. Friendly staff with insightful knowledge of the products they sell and plenty of events to get in on the action. Community feels like family.

A great place for all kinds of activities, with lots of tournaments for nerdy games, Monday is closed, Tuesday is Pokemon and MTG standard, Wednesday is Yu-Gi-Oh, Thursday is boardgames and heroclix, and Friday is MTG. Super friendly staff that have been amazing to me ever since I started going around 4-5 years ago.

I came for the arcades the staff was super friendly and it was an all around chill vibe...Even a really cute dog was there...6 stars!So myself and my beautiful partner were playing one of the super hard beat em ups on one of the arcade cabinets and the quarter slot stuck...and caused us to lose our progress the guy came over and gave us enough credit to get us back to where we were...and then some!...I wqsnt planning on doing much other than the arcade machines...but I just had to spend more money there...It was absolutely stellar...can't recommend enough...Come spend your money here!

Imperial Comics & Games is an excellent place to shop and play. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell and games they run events for. There's a real emphasis on community and customer satisfaction here you won't find anywhere else.

Would give a zero star for customer service from the owner! Purchased an item and tried to return it 10 minutes later because it was missing a character. The owner would not refund the $10 & claims he has a no return policy but its not posted anywhere in the store. Buyer beware! This will also be reported to BBB!

Great place to hang out with your friends and play all sorts of tabletop games. Also great place to make new friends. The owner, Jamal Edwards is a nice and funny person almost anyone can get along with.

Always a chill place to hang out. Very helpful staff and organized products. They recently added consoles for customers to play so even if you're not into cards or just waiting between matches or your dnd was cancelled there's something to do.

The only reason I go there is to get comic supplies. First time, someone walked in before me trying to sell Magic Cards. I literally stoid there almost 30 minutes waiting. They completed their transaction but stood there and talked. Completely ignoring me. Second time, I walk in and no employee is present. Again, I stand there ignored for 15 minutes. Finalky, a kid from the back runs up to help me. He was playing a board game. The Golden Rule if small business is customer service. They lack in that area.

Imperial Emporium is the representation of a small town Comic/Gaming paradise, it's what as a child you grow up wishing for in your little town... They have a great selection of just about anything you want related to gaming and comics. The Staff is Top notch, they know you by name and go out of their way to get you whatever you may need. I highly recommend Imperial Emporium for all your gaming/comic book needs.5 stars all the way... My wife love the old comics she buys up as many as she can to make her great crafts...

Went in to buy my son a birthday gift. The guy behind the counter was busy telling war stories and talking politics to his friends. When they finally left, he still continued to ignore my wife and I, and we were standing in front of him at the counter. He walked past us to the back and never said a word. I guess we don’t look like the type to hang out in a comic book store or a gamer. Lost a big sale, on top of that I will never come back to this place again and will tell everyone that I know. I drove 40 minuets from Forest City. Next time I will just go to Spartanburg. Don’t waste your time at this place. It’s a joke....

I've never been to this store have no intentions after the way they scam people on eBay with pre-orders and never ship!! Fact is they be cheat over 40 people out of pre-orders and never responses to emails or phone calls. That says enough about them for me!! That I know this isn't a place you should want to visit if your looking for fairness and honestly.

Great new comic shop and game spot, and an incredibly welcome addition to Uptown Shelby. Jamaal, Josh, and the rest of the staff are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. From comic subscription services, tabletop, card and RPGs, to game nights, to completely nerded out conversations about everything from the Avengers to Zootopia, this is the place to be!

Over 50 ppl (me included) bought comic pre-sales from them on eBay, and they never sent anything... now they're gone from eBay! I contacted them on FB to see if someone had created a fake account using their name, but they confirmed it was theirs, and just blamed PayPal and won't even try to solve anything. Even if its PayPal's fault, you are responsible for those pre-sales, you cannot just "disappear with our money", at least reach out so we can solve this together... That's the difference between customer service and scamming...

Fantastic place that i've been coming to since day one. Great sense of community, friendly staff, and an awe inspiring inventory.
