I went into the new store yesterday in Polk Ville North Carolina which is just right up the road from my house. First time in there for the new Remodeling and I know they are still busy trying to get everything put away the lady was very nice that she had someone help me I was looking for a chicken salad spread that they stock but they must have been out but the girl came and help me look for it and then they realize they must be out of it. Always been a great store to go in so close to my home thank you. Mark Scott

There is one woman who is obviously miserable at work. She never smiles, says hey, or even offers to acknowledge you as she rings you up. She is very disrespectful and I would never allow someone like that to be a face for my store or business. I know workers are hard to find but she ain't worth keeping.

When I need something, this DG is closer than any other, but I prefer going elsewhere. The store is usually kind of messy, half of the time they're out of milk or dog/cat food, etc and they have had problems in the past with hiring rude or unfriendly people (though that has got better recently).

Dollar General stores are everywhere and they have most of what you need without going to the god-aweful Walmart. DG as we call it could use some cleaning though. Maybe they cut their staffing too thin.

In my opinion, any place that sells food and food items should be required to have an accessable public restroom."The restroom is out of order" is not acceptable - if the bathrooms were truly out of order the store should be closed until repaired.

I was accused of stealing and the employee also called the police just as soon as she had ask me if I needed help. I answered her politely the no i wss ok. She then said well don't be stealing I'm watching you. I replied mam I'm not stealing I have money and intend to pay. I continue to shop sage walked away and called the police. I finished shopping and went to the register and paid for all items. As I walked out the door the police stopped me. Had me come back inside to question me. The employee then told the police she saw me stealing. I had to show receipt and empty my pockets. I was detained for about an hour. Then I was cleared and told I could leave. I was also told I can not return that I will be charged with trespassing. This is rediculous. I did nothing wrong and the employee was wrong.

I'm going to be honest on this one. Nice staff, who were friendly etc. But dang, hardly nothing on the shelves, I had to walk around their karts that were in the isles. But overall, I plan on going here a good bit.

Dollar general does very well on their locations. They understand that people don't want to travel 30 minutes to a supermarket or to a Walmart. Very fast and convenient.

In polkville...ive been treated bad and my son and anyone who visits and walks over to puchase an item. Except for one older lady that has been there awhile with short black hair. Shes polite. I wont go on saying what they do but if i can i drive to fallston DG. Ty and God bless

Not sure which store on SC 221 this is, but the store at the old Inglés near I-85 is the neatest, cleanest one I've been in.
