With their knowledge and expertise (and incredible patience with me), I was able to purchase a bike that suits me. If you are thinking about or planning to buy any kind of bike for any age, this is the place to go, bar none. I feel incredibly fortunate that I met them. Customer service is not dead, not at Boost Bike Shop anyway. Honest, friendly and knowledgeable service abound at Boost. You will be treated like the only customer they have. Prices are fair and reasonable, but even if the prices were higher, I would happily pay more to buy from Boost. It is obvious they love what they do and are passionate about it. Keep up the good work!

I went in and wanted to see Pietro’s bike. It was not there but he went home and got it. He was also helpful in telling me how I could get a coil shock for my low travel bike. Definitely a friendly business. I bought a shirt and water bottle from them. I will definitely go again when I’m in the area.He also pointed my dad and I to a good DH bike park. (Kanuga).They also have plenty of stuff to buy: bars, gloves, jerseys , bikes, etc.

Dropped in this evening just to kill time while visiting the area. Really had no intention of buying anything-just looking at bike gear to pass time. Was impressed with how stocked the small store was-almost crowded-but that is meant in a good way. Noted several main brands-Specialized, Marin, Mondraker, etc. Was almost immediately approached by a young lady who offered help and was very sweet, even after I told her I was only looking and really only asking about the shop and a nearby rail trail project. I quickly found a couple of accessories my wife was needing so I grabbed those. I was rung up by a male who was also very pleasant, and quickly answered my one remotely technical question. I would definitely be in there more if I were local. One other thing that impressed me: I am a BIG guy (360 pounds or so) in my late 50s and have been to several bike stores where (usually younger) staff didn't even acknowledge me...I was literally invisible whereas other (obviously more fit and/or younger) customers are greeted and catered to while I remained invisible. Absolutely none of this here, and props to the staff for customer service!

A great store. Came in for the first time the other day and a very patient lady helped me for over an hour. I appreciate most how she took the time to explain that while I had some bikes they could fix, they wouldn't really fit me well and explained its more about a bike that fits you vs simply a medium or large frame. Gave me great trade-in value for some old bikes I had and I walked out with a brand new bike feeling confident because she knew how a bike should fit and work.

My daughter wanted a pair of viper sunglasses for her birthday. After doing some research we noticed not many places sold them but boost bike did . Today we stopped by and they were so incredibly nice ! They let the girls try on sunglasses and had a bunch of neat stickers . They made it an experience, and We will definitely be back!

This is a great small business, I've taken my bike here numerous times to be fixed or to get opinions on different things. The people who run this place are wonderful, they're very patient and answer any and all questions. I always love supporting small local businesses and this is definitely one I will continue to go back to.

Took my wife’s bike in today to have a flat tire repaired. The owner showed me how to do it myself next time but with the low price and great service, I foresee me bringing it back here for a flat tire or any other need. In todays world of terrible customer service, this is an example of what it SHOULD be.

I came in with my bike. They fixed it and were so patient with helping me pick out helmets, seats, lights, and gloves. They even put the seat on for me. Most bike seats are so uncomfortable, so ladies if you're looking for seats that are made for us. This is the place to go. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else. While the shop has experienced the bike shortage everyone else in the world has, the owner/staff are true bike enthusiasts and work hard to keep gear and parts in stock. The selection of goods are quality that the owner uses as well, including local brands and bikes of all types. Very knowledgeable and friendly, will keep supporting them!

This place is an example of locally owned small business at it's very finest. If you're around Shelby and need a bike, parts, accessories, repairs, or advice this should be your first stop. Most likely it'll be the only stop you have to make. The owner and staff are uber knowledgeable about the sport and their willingness to help is second to none. I've purchased multiple bikes from them and had them perform several major upgrades. Everytime, they steered me in the right direction for my skill level, and saved me from spending $ unnecessarily. Parts and repairs are very reasonably priced and they turn things around at what feels like light speed. If you need a part for a repair, chances are good they've got it in stock. In the unlikely event you need something they don't have, they'll usually be able to order it and get it faster than Amazon can ship it to you. Seriously folks, this place is top notch and a must stop!!

While I was here in fact a young kid came in and purchased his first bike after much guidance, support and assurance from Pietro.Prices from retail products, repairs costs and tune ups are far more reasonable than the bike shop on Lafayette.Support young entrepreneurs like Pietro.

This is an amazing shop!!! I called about 8 shops in the area about picking up and shipping a vintage bike for me. The owner here said, "Sure. why not? It sounds like an adventure to me!" For those who remember it as Shanewolf’s, the place has been totally transformed, and the proprietor is knowledgeable and approachable. No snooty attitudes here! I needed a bike box, another shop in town charged me for it, then made me pay in cash. The guys at Boost were super cool and let me choose from several. Also had them work on a very custom road bike and help prep another for sale and they are very professional and very friendly, I wont go anywhere else.
