Nothing bad to say about this place. Very clean! Staff very nice. Price doesn't break the bank. Don't let the low price deture you. As good as any of the expensive hotels. If not better. Would highly recommend Scotland Neck Inn. Looking at all the reviews 5 is 99% of them. The lower views have to be people that don't know what they are talking about. Just ridiculous they have no idea what a great Inn this is. Ignore them. 5 stars for sure!!!

Very reasonable priced motel. In fact it's the only motel in this rural town. Motel is located on Main Street. For your convenience, there is a Food Lion and Roses discount store directly across the street from the motel.Hotel is undergoing renovations on the older rooms that have carpet. The owner is pulling up the carpet and installing gray colored hardwood floors. I was able to view a room that was being renovated and it was nice. All rooms come with an iron and ironing board, refrigerator with freezer at top, flat screen tv on the wall, as well as a microwave. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel provides a few bars of hand sized soap. My suggestion is to Just bring your own. If you forgot it, Roses across the street is a great convenience.Walkability: Hardee's and Abraham's NC Chicken and BBQ are less than a block away.I love Abraham's collard greens, fried fish and baked chicken. Ask for vinegar sauce for your baked chicken. They also sell fried chicken as well.

Found this place after driving from NJ. Decided we needed a break as we had pets. This place seemed ok online and the price was pretty good. It's about 1/2 hour from I95 but very much worth it. Not the greatest area, not the worst. All the people we came across were friendly. Feels safe enough.There's no lobby as the hotel is under going renovations, so no breakfast. There's very low noise levels of any. They did a fantastic job listening to negative reviews and building the place up from there, it looks and feels great.You do pay a fee per pet which is ok for me. He even let us look at the room before settling on payment (we've been through a lot with bad hotel experiences). The man at the front desk was very quick to show us our room and was just so great.The floor is not carpet which I love. They looked very clean for a pet friendly room. No smells either. Beds are so comfy and the duvet has a weight and softness to it. The sheets are soft enough for my liking and not a bit scratchy! WIN.The shower... OMG, the shower! Very high pressure. Very clean, even looks new.NO BUGS! That's they biggest fear most people have when booking a room in an unfamiliar area, but sometimes you need to lay your head down for the night without worrying the conditions in where you will have to do so.. This place is it!There's a food lion across the lot for food shopping and a tobacco shop with drinks and snacks.For $100 with 2 cats and 2 kids, its not a bad deal at all. If I'm ever in the area, this is where I'm coming.Rooms: Very clean, very comfortable, newly renovated.

Got in at 11:35pm. Very quiet Inn. Nice gentleman greeted us. We are use to staying in “brand name” hotels but we needed to stop and wait over night for a heavy fog to lift. We were quite happy with our stay. No breakfast at this establishment which didn’t bother us. We just traveled less then a mile to the Hardee’s to get some food. A+ stay. Thanks!

The bed was comfy. But if you miss sleeping in a dive bar where the stench is a combo of cigarettes beer and vomit, this is the place for you. It looks clean but the smell is horrendous in the halls, and room, that’s suppose to be non smoking stinks as well. There is no breakfast but I don’t think we would have eaten anything anyway. They do have coffee but we just went out for coffee. The place was cheap, $82+ but we’ll never stay there again. It could use a thorough rug cleaning and wall washing to remove the stench. And the should clearly separate smoking vs. non smoking rooms as well.

This is not a Marriott but it very homey and clean. I really like the manager, Jack Patel, who is very accommodating. We will be staying there every time we visit Rich Square, N.C. The price is Right too!!!

Drove from Raleigh to go to a family member funeral in Scotland Neck. Also my other family members from up north got a room next to mines.The room was nice and clean. The staff was very nice and friendly..I enjoy my stay. Will stay there again .also would recommend to others

Standard hotel accommodations. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Housekeeping and managers were courteous. The mattress I slept on was a little too firm for my taste and the wifi slows down when there are a lot of people on it, although this was most likely due to my coworkers being on it, otherwise I can imagine it's probably fine most of the time. All in all a decent hotel.

Management was very friendly and accommodating. We needed to check in early so that we could get changed for a wedding after a long drive and they allowed us to do so with no issues. They also have coffee in the lobby in the morning 🌄

I had to attend a funeral in Scotland Neck over the weekend, so my family and I booked rooms here.The person at the front desk was extremely kind, and made us feel welcome. I had an issue with my room key not working right, and it was fixed right away. The room I was in had double beds, tv, microwave, and a mini freezer. The room was cleaned daily, and everything was restocked as needed.My non-smoking room was next to a smoking room, and I could smell faint smoke coming from one of the smoking rooms. It wasn't bad enough to request for another room, but it makes you wonder why were the two rooms that close to each other. Also, the further away you are from the front desk, the weaker the Wifi. This is probably the biggest complaint I have with this place. Because my phone provider does not have proper coverage in this area, I was counting on the WiFi to work consistently while I was on the premises.Overall for the price and courtesy of the staff, this was a decent place to stay. It kept me close to family members in the area, as well as the church for services.

This is the second time in two years my wife and I have sheltered from hurricanes and flooding at the Scotland Neck In. We have always found clean,quite,affordable rooms. The owners are a gracious, delightful couple.Two years ago after evacuation from our home, these folks made room for us and our two rather large dogs. They gave us a room at the end, so we could easily get our fur babies to the nearby grassy field. We stayed with them for a week until the flood waters receded. This year only two nights... No flooding.Truely small,country town value,and hospitality. Mike LaBar

I would stay here again because this is the ONLY hotel in this small town. The staff do their best to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. Encourage your family to stay here when visiting the area. Staying here allowed me to spend more time with my family. I can't wait to return this summer to visit the Sylvan Heights Bird Park, the best of it's kind and world renowned.

They could of had coffee for people to drink and the money to stay there was way to much $115.00 for one night in the room most of the light's did not work. It was all right when you don't have know where to stay going 10 hours on the road but if you don't have that much money on you you will be out. I am not going not to try to go stay there know more.

Needs updating. Ac wouldn't work and when it did it kept cutting off. They don't offer to help switching rooms or even a fan. Need more towels and rags in bathrooms. Nice enough tv. Overall clean.

Rooms are run down. Toilet was broke. They wouldn't fix it. Shower barely worked. The air conditioner doesn't blow cool air all the time.

I didn't like it they say its pet friendly but want to charge you extra when you check out for you pet. Only after you stayed they come with this charge. And it smells bad.

Except the fact that it's the only hotel in Scotland Neck, it's a bit dated and need upgrading. Also has an outdoor pool that is never open, but lady staff was very pleasant.
