This was my second overnight stay.Check in was easy and staff very friendly.The room underwent a renovation since my last visit. Construction is still underway as you can see the equipment in the parking lot. I wasn't disturbed by it.Rooms are much improved now with upgraded features, no carpet and showers. The shower has a convenient foot bar which is a handy touch.My big disappointment is the huge gap underneath the door. (See pic)I assume this from where they removed carpet and installed the plank flooring. This is a security risk and definitely a sound annoyance. I could people in the hallway (and a dog barking) but it was amplified before I stuck towels under the door. I definitely don't think the chance of issues in Sapphire Valley is very high but it's never zero. And you have to be mindful when traveling alone. I am sending in a note about this directly. I sure hope it's simply that the doors are last to be replaced.I could literally see into the bottom of the room across from me. That gap is too big. Add a door sweeper on it... Something.The nightstand light is a bit harsh. The tall lamp near the table and provides good lighting for work.I suggest bringing a nightlight for the room as it is pitch black otherwise. The bathroom has a barn door so leaving the light on caused too much light to come in.My room had a window facing the woods. My visit before it overlooked the parking lot.There is coffee and I believe breakfast items in the lobby but I didn't utilize that.Parking is easy and near the doors.It is perfectly located in Sapphire Valley and you can be in so many beautiful places quickly. Cashiers is only minutes away.Safety: I felt comfortable in my room except for the gap in the door. As a female solo traveler on this trip it made me nervous and concerned for my security and privacy.Sapphire Valley definitely isn't a crime hot spot but we should always be mindful.

We stayed here on our way to South Carolina. It was a wonderful stay! The room was clean and comfortable. Our kids were so happy to have an indoor pool, the breakfast was delicious, and the front desk staff was so kind and helpful. Sometimes you don't know what you're going to get with a hotel, and this one was like a breath of fresh air because it was such a gem.

I do not recommend trying to block off rooms here for an event such as a wedding. Our calls were left unreturned for months. When we finally got a hold of someone, they mentioned they were having issues with their system, which we were understanding about, and assured us the rooms were blocked off. We actually called to verify this a couple of times. Well, when our guests started trying to book rooms, they had been told no rooms were reserved under our name. We are now scrambling to find alternatives for our guests.

Place is in need of serious renovation. Hot tub not working. Heated pool was ice cold! Cable tv didnt get hardly any channels. Said they were working on it but nothing was done about it.Our first two days Friday and Saturday were charged over $400 a night and it wasnt worth even half of that. By far the worse Hampton inn I’ve ever stayed and I probably stay at 40 each year. Unfortunately my boyfriend booked the room and didn’t notice the outrageous price as nothing else in the area was even close to this price.Noteworthy details: Not worth the money, nothing works as it should. The only thing going for it is the location as it is quite close to all the waterfalls and many great restaurants.

Rooms are fairly basic but kept clean and stocked. The staff is 5 stars not a single complaint, they were all very friendly and talkative. Truly made the experience a positive one. Location wise the hotel is easy to access off a major road but the absolute dead zone for cell coverage sucks, it's not the hotels fault lol. Hit tub being down is unfortunate but the pool is also pretty small and the exercise room is laughable. They don't even have a single weight set just a Pelton bike, treadmill, and elliptical. But it does have towels and water so they tried with the space alloted.

We had rented a home for the week through VRBO, and experienced a plumbing/sewage issue. We were able to book two rooms late in evening. CJ was very nice and helpful. Then we were allowed a late check in and they held the rooms for us in case we needed them another night. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was not crowded. In the end we found another rental option and they cancelled our reservation for following night without issue. Hotel is centrally located with plenty of parking. Would stay there again and highly recommend.

I stayed at this hotel during a long trip through South Carolina State Parks located in the mountains. The room was a good size for two people and there was plenty of room. It's a beautiful location. Cashiers is a wonderful city and the mountains are amazing.Edit: I don't get why people think a pool in the middle of the MOUNTAINS is going to be some wonderful and clean thing. Don't expect a good pool when you are in the Appalachian Mountains, I don't get why their reviews went down just because of the pool.Edit 2: I will probably be staying here again very soon, as I will be visiting Devils Fork State Park in a few days!Rooms: The room we stayed in was perfectNearby activities: Many things to do in the mountains including State Parks in North Carolina and nearby South Carolina.Food & drinks: The breakfast was very good.Noteworthy details: Cashiers makes it feel like Christmas all year! It's a beautiful town

Always love the Hampton rooms and beds. This hotel had some nice decorations up and offered free snacks as you came in.Thought the front desk person could have been a little friendlier. Gym needs some weights.Location is ideal. Some good restaurants close by.Breakfast server was very sweet. Thanks

My biggest complaint was the pool and hot tub. It smelled so strongly of chemicals that my partner and I could not sit in the hot tub more than 5 minutes before we started coughing heavily, our eyes began to water, and our lungs burnt. We were among multiple customers that experienced the same discomfort. The fumes were so strong that it was impossible to use the facility. This was incredibly disappointing, as the hot tub was an important factor in choosing this hotel for our vacation. In addition, our room smelled musty/moldy, and the faucet handle leaked in the bathroom.Pros- dog friendly, location was convenient, breakfast hours were ideal, and the staff was kind

Very disappointing stay… served “hot”chocolate. There was no hot water. When booking our stay, the hotel advertised a pool and hot tub. We show up to a pool with so much chlorine that my daughter and son cried after getting out because their eyes and body burned so bad. The tub was empty and there was wires and parts exposed laying at the bottom of it. I tried to blow dry my daughters hair and the blow dryer literally blew up! Loud popping, spark , and strong burning smell. It will not turn back on. I told the gentleman at the front desk and he responded that he was going to tell someone. He thought the breaker blew. I reiterated that the blow dryer sparked and made a loud pop. He repeated back to me, “it’s probably the breaker, I’ll have them to check it”. Came back after our outing and it’s still not working.The TV remotes do not function properly, some of the USB ports do not work.Overall, very disappointing. My family was looking forward to a relaxing weekend away.**Edit** breakfast was disgusting. Bread was stale, juice was nasty, coffee was the only item that was fresh…

Unfortunately under new ownership, & they are not keeping up with maintenance.Hot tub was broke - wifi did not work - toilets were overflowing - ovens to cook breakfast are broken (so no eggs, no bacon) - USB ports in the room were, you guessed it, broken. The carpet in the room is disgusting, & I wouldn't allow my son to sit on the moldy chair & foot stool.I attached a picture of their "mountain view" rooms ~ weeds, vines & dead tree debris.Sad, my previous visits this place always so clean & well taken care of.On a positive note the staff is very pleasant ... with the exception of the manager!, who is not doing their job and has not returned multiple phone calls.Also, if you like coffee this isn't the place for you, the two options were 'Decaf' & 'Light Brew'.

The second night at this hotel, I started itching on my arms. I found bites all over my arms and body. I immediately pulled back the sheets and the mattress and found bed bugs! It was disgusting! I changed rooms and the next day the manager offered to comp my 2-nights stay but that was it. She said she would verify what it was with an exterminator but she had to verify the problem. I showed her a picture of my arm, but she didn't seem to care. I have a video and pictures of the bugs and pictures of my bites. There isn't any question as to what it was or what happened! I was very disappointed in how this was handled and the trouble it caused me. I had to take extreme caution returning to my home and my family so I didn't infect our house! The amount of time and effort we had to put into managing this problem but also the discomfort of the bites and the constant itching and stingy! I filed a complaint with Hilton, they opened a case and said I would hear back from someone in 3 days. It has been 4 days and no one has contacted me! Extremely disappointed!

Was okay. But for my family the pool is an important amenity and a huge part of what we are paying for. The pool wasn't being heated and the hot tub had a "down for maintenance" sign (although it seemed to be working fine). After asking about it, and not really getting a straight answer, I had my suspicions that they just didn't want anyone using it. We could've stayed in a nice airbnb somewhere but opted for the hotel because of the pool, so it was pretty disappointing.

After a not-so-great stay at a Hampton Inn in Charlotte, NC about 5 months ago, Cashiers-Sapphire Valley renewed my faith in Hampton Inn. Husband and I were there for a quick getaway. Jacuzzi suite room was very nice. Just what we were looking for. Would recommend to others and stay again.Carpeting could use some updating (deep cleaning or replacing) but overall very nice.

I don't have many details about this place as I didn't actually stay here... My brother & his bride-to-be were staying here, along with some of their wedding party... The rest of us just came here for the "after-party" on both the rehearsal dinner night and the wedding reception night...I was surprised that there was no hotel bar - but I now understand that is more of a country "ordinance"... We brought our own liquor and set up in the lobby... There was about 20 of us and we only received 1 noise complaint! LoLI can't tell you about the rooms or service here but the lobby was nice and we were able to have our little "after-party" workout any issues... So, in that sense, I loved it 😊

i have stayed at this hilton property a few times. by comparison, it is subpar at best.the owner of this particular hotel has cut every corner. I know it is petty and pretentious, but no snack at checkout . no real sugar for coffee (i asked someone with hotel for actual sugar, she said they only carry sugar substitute )the 3 times i have stayed here in the last 1.5 year (mostly work related ) the internet is all but non existent. the last 2 times i have stayed here, the TV hasn’t worked. Called the front desk and the issue is the remotes . When a guest complains , they simply give them a new remote …. why not check and/or replace them all??Pardon my brevity and poor grammar. typing this on my phone as i am currently staying at this hotel right now…. hopefully this post before my wifi crashes again

Very comfortable, this hotel has a lodge style setting, sitting up in the mountains and across the street from Sapphire valley resort to tube and ski. Nicely located for multiple food venues. Nice breakfast to start your day. Pool and hot tub available, and a sundries area too. Very family friendly. Met very nice people at check in and at breakfast the next morning. Staff helpful with the many hiking and falls attractions in the areas.

I am giving the hotel 5 stars because they are still practicing safety protocols, so many of the amenities I am used to as an honors member were not available. But during these difficult days of travel, I am happy to have a clean room and know that the staff is working to keep things as safe as possible. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, beautiful, and more beautiful, service was excellent couldn't have asked for anything better and my husband and I miss it but we will be back soon thank you all for your excellent service I definitely give it 5 🌟 stars and would give more 🌟 stars if I could.Rooms: Rooms was excellent, very clean, quiet.Nearby activities: Snowboarding, fine restaurants.Safety: Top of the line safety.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hilton property! Very friendly and helpful staff made it an easy weekend trip. Perhaps some other Hilton properties and features have spoiled us, but some of our room fixtures seemed rather dated and not having the RFID door locks means having to keep up with key cards. I would give this place 4.5 stars based on our experience, and we would gladly stop through again when we return.

Decent beds, very clean and convenient to popular Highlands area. However, definitely sub-par in several ways: Wifi non-existent in lobby or rooms, cell phone usage impossible due to surrounding mountains, breakfast weak compared to other Hamptons, and staff unhelpful in improving wifi situation. Not a good Hampton for those needing to be in communication while there.
