The reason for the stars on food and service is because I received neither one.I was here on Friday 5/24/24 at approximately 3:30 pm. I pulled in to see about 8 people in line (I should have left then)but I got in line which needless to say was moving extremely slow.Finally the 2 people in front of me placed their order and I was filled with excitement knowing that I was next and after finally deciding what refreshing flavor that I wanted to try.Suddenly the window slides open and I see the attendant returning money to the customer in front of me. She then turns to me and says the ice machine is down and not working. Oh what a punch in the gut that was for me. It's hard for me to imagine that the attendant had just discovered this and more so because that is the main staple that she needs in which to operate at all.You see this was my first visit to a Pelicans Snowballs and I was beyond disappointed.Don't know if I will try again but I can assure you it will not be at this location.I had better things to do than wait 30 minutes for such a let down that could have been avoided.I was in the Food Industry for 40 years and I guess this is one of those things that was brought on by the pandemic LOL.I am so glad that I am not a part of that industry any longer.Customer Service is basically non existent these days especially when you wait 30 minutes and you cannot even get something as basic as a snow cone, sorry Snowball.

Came around 3 just to be told after a 30 min of waiting with 6 others just to be told the machine didn’t work. Called a number the previous owner had gave me called her told me the machines were working drove down there just to see it was closed with a sign saying they close at 9 online saying they close at 8 and a paper on the window saying see you tomorrow at one honestly they need to all get on the same page

Stopped here for the first time with my kids . the prices are fair and I love that they have stuff to do outside , I was just a little scared with the activities being right next to the road . My kids know better not to run to the road but you never know lol . The benches are a little wonky but it did the trick for the little time we were there .. talking to the young girl she was nice an patient with me which I appreciate because I thought we were ready but I then seen all the flavors lol .. it also smelt really clean when she opened the window so that a plus we will most likely be back..

Just stopped by for a treat for myself (and my doggies) and the service was great and the product is great as well! I got the Tigers Blood with sour spray and gummies and it was delish! All 3 doggies approved! If u want a deal but the $20 token special and get $25 in tokens for $20!

So many different options of flavors and toppings and ways to make a snowball. Price is cheap for amount you get. The lady at window was very nice and patient while waiting for us to decide on which we wanted also let us try a flavor. Hate they are closing soon for the season but will definitely be back when they open.

Great people serving a great product. Love the texture of the ice - weirdly soft! The flavors are wonderful - not too heavy or syrupy and very unique (Try a kiddie sized pickle flavor! Seriously!) The vanilla snocream, strawberries & cream, and french vanilla are incredible.

I never knew a snow cone could taste so good. This is an excellent place to cool down on a hot day. Seriously, I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet to ensure I try all the flavors. There has to be over 100 flavors!

This is my number one stop for a delicious frozen treat! They are so good! Love the sour blue raspberry! The rainbow is good ita like a bunch of Gummi bears flavors in your mouth all at once lol! Check them out its great for a family stop after a hot day at the slash pad or pool!

I absolutely enjoy Pelicans, however today my overall experience was different. I ordered one avalanche strawberry shortcake and one regular strawberry daiquiri. The server mixed the flavors in the wrong cup, not only that for the regular I was given a kiddie cup. Which is okay mistakes happen all the time, no big deal. I visit Pelicans often enough to know the difference in the cup sizes, and with anywhere you go to always have your order clear and ready before you place it. I walked back up with my receipt in hand for proof of purchase that I paid for and order a regular and also that my order was incorrect. One again really no big deal. Not only wasn’t my order corrected , the server told me that the size of the cup differs based on whether or you dine in or take to go! I have never been told that or never knew that you could dine in. I’m extremely confused my understanding has always been that you can peacefully gather around or sit at the provide picnic tables. To say the least I can’t wrap my mind around on if I purchase something and tipped, why I wouldn’t receive the item my money paid for....I must say I’m extremely confused and disappointed!

I love taking my kids here! They are so nice the owners know my kids by name and there favorites! They are always so nice! I am happy there is a place I can take my kids that's safe and clean and affordable! I pray they never leave!

The staff will never be seen without a smile on their face. The man that works in the building also went out to my girlfriends car and got a cicada out of it no problem because she was complaining about it. Quality product matched with quality people, would recommend to anyone.

This is a great place I always get something new every time so many choices and it's weird but it's the best sno cone ever great flavors .and nice sitting area to relax also staff is always very friendly and energetic. Love it and so do my kids.

Pelicans is always delicious! Sadly, the young men working the counter were not very customer service oriented. The first young man asked me what I would like and then as I was ordering walked away completely ignoring me and another young man stepped in after coming from the back and I had to again explain my order twice. It was a definitely frustrating but won’t affect me coming back. Please work on customer service skills with your workers.

Best snow cones in sanford. Park in the post office parking lot for ease of access. I have always been greeted by the most friendly people. My family and I love this place.

What is not to like about Pelicans? A classic all the way from New Orleans, and during the summer heat, nothing is better than cooling off with a Snowball. They have too many flavors to count, and you can always mix as many as you want to create your own concoction. One of the best things about Pelicans is there is always something new to try, so every trip feels unique. And for the dog parents out there, Pelicans has dog safe flavors, so you can bring them along for a treat too!

We have seen Pelican's location throughout the region and wanted to check one out! With the thermometer heading toward 100 degrees we stopped by and got a couple of cups of the Hawaiian.Delish and helpful staff.We WILL be back!

The season is coming to a close for this gem, if you have never been, go while you can! Oct 31 will be their last day. We've been going practically daily this month. My oldest daughter thinks I'm lame for dubbing this month "sno-tober" (and using that name as often as possible). My go-to blend is skylite and dreamsicle. Dreamy.

Tons of flavors and they have a pup cup that comes with dog treats. It is inexpensive and they have a punch card. The coffee and cream flavor is the best.

Absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and if you tell them they cannot put enough sour spray on, they'll take it as a challenge and I like that.
