Everyone was asking if we needed help but I also felt like the 2 managers that were on duty were all over us & all I went in to get was ammo & u would have thot I had $10,000 worth the way we got eyeballed around the store bc I had never been in there prior to that day so I didn’t know were nothing was or wat all they even had & I started seeing things I wanted so I started shopping as well & we got followed around the entire store till I checked out & we left l, very unprofessional & I felt so violated & was confused on what exactly we had even done to deserve such treatment

I recently visited Dunham’s Sports, expecting the usual efficient service and pleasant shopping experience. However, I was taken aback by the apparent lack of preparation for the holidays. Despite being the peak shopping season, there were only three employees on duty. This severely impacted customer service.The consequence of this understaffing was a significant delay in getting assistance. I spent a frustrating 15 minutes waiting for a simple price check, which is unacceptable, especially during a time when customer traffic is predictably high. The employees, though doing their best under the circumstances, were clearly overwhelmed.This experience was a stark contrast to what I’ve come to expect from Dunham’s Sports. While I understand the challenges of staffing, especially in retail, it’s imperative that stores adequately prepare for the holiday season. Adequate staffing is not just beneficial for customers, but also for the employees, who are undoubtedly facing undue stress due to the high demand.I hope the management takes note and ensures better staffing levels in the future to maintain their standard of customer service.

Sad. Selection of ammo was virtually inexistent. Prices were $10 above anything else around for firearms furniture & parts. Only way to get a descent price is if u have a coupon or catch a sale on specific items.

The selection isn’t too bad. But, they advertise “lowest price”. I just bought a BOG Havoc Monopod from there for 45.99. Walked into Walmart, saw the same EXACT ONE for 34.99. Save your money, go to Walmart. Even the BOG website had it for 39.99. COMPLETE rip-off.

Check out feels like you will never get out. They will let people who aren't ready keep shopping while holding up the registers. Employees will just sit looking at you wasting everyone's time. People in store looking for handouts. Store itself is awesome. Little pricey but good selection.

This Dunhams location is not handicap friendly. There are no scooters or wheelchairs. In order to exit you have to go through the entire checkout maze to exit. I will not be visiting this store anytime in the near future, if ever again.

Love this store and the location. It's huge and they have a large inventory. They have a great staff super nice and friendly. Fair prices with awesome discounts on certain days and items. The only thing I don't like about the place is if you don't have a license and permit on you they won't let you view a gun at all. It stays in the case. I don't like that at all. Every where else you can handle the gun and view it. They need to change that stupid policy it makes no sense.

Visited the store Saturday Nov.12 at 7pm and let me tell you, The guy that works there Gayvn is the definition of customer service he helped me and my wife and was very knowledgeable and so polite kind and courteous. This guy is a great role model for your business and needs a raise and promotion because when you lose young employees like this you will wish later you could have keep people like this. Not to mention store looked great and well stocked with great selection.

Prices are ok, employees are kind (sometimes), and they don't have that big of a shoe section. I've never got weapons or ammo from there, but there is never an employee at the gun section 🤔. Overall, I would recommend this place.

I'd give you a FIVE STAR RATING, BUT...you have some lights that are flickering and bother me, (medically) when I come in the store. GET THEM FIXED, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE IT BOTHERS, I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT.I had GREAT help today. I'm not sure how you spell the name, but he said his name was Christen. You need more people that work there that are willing to help people find things. Maybe they wouldn't walk out frustrated.

Horrible customer service. I stood in the "firearms" section for 20 minutes looking around for an employee to help. Nothing. I looked throughout the store and found 1 (ONE) employee working the checkout register. This place is ALWAYS understaffed.

My husband and I had Teddy help us today and he was excellent! He answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchases. We will definitely be back to have him help us in the future.

Never really busy which is nice but employees move as slow as molasses. Have called the store phone while inside waiting to check out just to finally get someone to come up. Also get doubled charged due to employees taking their sweet time and not approving transaction. Which in turn charges your account twice but one will "fall off in a few days" according to employee. No bug deal except when you have a large purchase and are out a few hundred for a few days. Good store but absolutely ZERO work ethic or customer service emphasis.

They had the kayaks we wanted for the best price!! Staff was super helpful when we called and when arrived. They helped me load the kayaks in to the truck!

My aunt got me some hoodies and they were on clearance got to the register and it was regular price then they checked and fixed the price . Cool people and funny too.

During this ammo shortage there have been better places than others. They have ammo. Plenty of it. Most certainly at the highest prices I have seen anywhere. Worst prices in the state. Dare I say these are gouged prices. No one makes money off ammo really, but maybe they need to consider a different supplier.

Okay selection but terrible customer service. Good deals but not higher quality brands. Employee with blue hair and glasses is often rude, reminds you that they are closing and is not happy if you want to shop a few minutes late. Family owned business 101: treat your customers even better than where they get treated elsewhere, otherwise, why do they come to you?

I have been in this store 4 time. Really trying to give them a chance. Either there is no one in the area or to busy talking to the women customers and after 20 minute waiting they are to busy to do there job and help other customers. Will fine another place to purchase my items

I hate writing negative reviews. Happened around 1400 June 20, 2021. Happy Father's Day... I have shopped here many times since you opened, spending a ton of money. Giving you chance after chance as a local store. Well after today, not another dime... I bought an air mattress from you to replace one of mine that had a leak. Unfortunately, I didn't open the new one until I went out of town and NEEDED it, and guess what? The new one had a hole in it as well. I Immediately took it back the same day I got back into town, and evidently I missed your return-by date by ONE day. No return, no exchange, no discount, nothing. A hundred bucks gone, practically stolen. Well, Mr. Manager who was "just doing your job," you could have made a different choice. Maybe my shoving the mattresses back at you across the counter and telling you you could keep your junk was a bit much, but I will abide by your wishes and never shop your over-priced under-staffed store again. Was so disgusted by the whole thing, I left without even getting my receipt back. This is why Amazon is winning...

Pretty decent selection on ammo. It's no "fuquay guns and gold" but you wouldn't expect it to be. I don't think I've ever purchased anything other than ammo there but I'm glad they have a Sanford location. I wish their website was better. It doesn't really show the stores firearms and ammo stock

I was never there before. So when I went there I was surprised by the size of the store. I had gone in for a small item that was in a flyer. They had none on display. When I asked for it the associate said he wanted to check the stock room. Well he found the last one. Very happy with everyone and everything in the store. I will definitely be back.

Lady at front counter was super nice, however I waited 35+ minutes to be helped at the gun counter only for no one to ever come even though I had asked the lady at the front for assistance. Was planning on making a purchase but I will not be returning.

I had an employee come assist me at the gun counter. I was wanting to hold a gun too see if it would be a good fit for me. She asked for my ID and my permit for purchase. I told her I had my permit in the car, that I was unsure if I wanted to make the purchase, she then got louder and said that I needed to give it to her for me to even hold the gun. I've never heard that at any gun store. And she was not being polite with her tone, I was totally embarrassed and refuse to give an establishment that condones that behavior toward any customer any of my money.

I give this place one thumb up, I would give two thumbs up but I cut one of my thumbs off by mistake when me and my buddy were playing with knives at my cousins wedding...I love this store, sometime I go just to smell the inside of the store and watch people. They have good prices too. It smells good too. Friendly people and it also smells good.

You will find a deal every once in a while, usually Sunday/Monday special but then they often "sell out." Coupons exclude the most popular stuff. Decent selection of sporting goods but a lot of stuff 1-2 model years old. Don't expect customer service, most employees ignore you unless you hunt them down. Hint: They will be at front register talking to each other.

Stood at the gun counter for 1/2 hour before being noticed. Finally a sales rep comes and he has no experience in guns. Was asked for ID before helping me, was afraid to even let me see the whole weapon, refused to take the weapon out of its trigger lock. I've purchased my fair share of arms and I have to say this was the worse experience I ever had. If you want to be treated as a crook shop here.
