Can't always find an employee to help but that's just about everywhere anymore. However I love this store. Such neat things they carry, especially at the beginning of spring season. So much to choose from. All at decent prices.

Nice store...great variety and choices of items for the area. Very nice big lot. Nice they offer a plan to purchase furniture. Trish is great super kind & helpful with all your furniture purchase. They also have a delivery vendor that will deliver your furniture at a reasonable price. The service is excellent & professional & price reasonable.

I see the most Christian like women in this store that always remind me of the girl I had a crush on way back when! Small frame but big heart! Proverbs 31 women that make a man straighten up and want to be presentable in front of a lady, saying excuse me, Mam and yes Mam! Regardless, of her saying I did anything to offend her! It tickles me, when I catch myself acting like that and any young 🌱 lady not noticing! Or if they do notice they smile and or say thank you for giving them the right of way!

Very rude manager. Went in to buy a recliner. Couldn't find anyone to help us so we loaded up the recliner into a cart. An employee walked up and said "what's going on here?". Said we were just taking the recliner up front to buy. They said we couldn't buy the floor model and proceeded to turn the cart over to get the recliner out of it. Asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager and that we couldn't buy it we would have to order it. Such bad customer service. Will not shop at big lots again.

Great experience in the furniture department. Mock was very helpful and knowledgeable. We purchased a TV console that we love. However, it was missing one small bolt. Went online regarding the missing bolt per directions in the manual. They quickly referred us back to the store with no help whatsoever. Went back to the store. Mick searched and found us a compatible bolt. Great customer service from Mick at the store, but not online.

ANY UPDATES WILL BE DATED AT BOTTOM OF REVIEW...Absolutely disgusted with experience. Chloe the manager did a poor job with engagement and commenced to being unprofessional in front of staff she was training. I arrived at store to pick up gazebo which Female store manager forgot to give me a call to pick up. Reason: she didn't have staff available to assist with heavy load. No worries totally understandable. Today I arrived and upon loading first box I questioned flags to put on back since portion of box would e hanging off bed of pick up. For a total of 3 boxes I was trying to get the team to stagger so that I could proportion weight of boxes hanging over flat bed. She misunderstood and said it was a policy that if it wasn't safe that she didn't have to comply. First off I would never ask another women like myself to lift a box over a pick up truck. I waited to after it was all loaded and unlike her I pulled her to the side to explain that I would be surveying store and that info she provided in front of new staff was not correct - just like first time she began to loud talk instead of being discreet. Once I saw I was getting no where with her I decided to engage the corporate office. I will have my husband return this item and deal with it as we won't be disrespected by a company we just spend $1600 bucks with. Absolutely disgusted and this was so unnecessary. I don't even want the piece. I've been buying furniture with big lots for years and I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF DRIVER ASSIST when it comes to loading items. Not posted on any signage neither is it mentioned anywhere when items are being bought from furniture section. I politely asked Chloe to adjust and lead with this is not convenient for her and the staff when not wanting to so something as opposed to claiming something is a existing store policy. Engaged corporate office regarding these untruths awaiting a call back.UpdateEngaged corporate office and was advised that a GM would be in touch to the date I've not had any engagement.05/7No engagement to the date called other day and was advised that they would route complaint again6/19No engagement to the date after contacting customer service several times will continue to update.

So my husband placed an order online today and we went to pick it up. We were told we needed an email saying it was ready, didn’t know but wasn’t in a hurry, but was told to see the assistant manager and she’ll help us since we were there. Again, we let her know what was going on, she said she’ll grab our order and we told her to take her time and we looked around while she grabbed out stuff. She’s then proceeded to tell us she’s couldn’t find the toaster on our order, but was going to charge us more for the one she found. Husband was trying to understand why she wouldn’t give us the same discount as the toaster we ordered and why it said they had in stock but it wasn’t there. Now we both are in retail management, we both completely understand that this time of year can be frustrating, but when you I have a customer thats not yelling at you, cussing you out or being completely rude, you don’t walk away when they’re asking for a refund due to not having the item they wanted. She went and got another manager, who came over and very rudely tried to explain we needed an email. Not once did he ask us what was wrong, or apologize for the mistake. He interrupted us numerous times when all we tried to do is explain that wasn’t the item we ordered. He found the correct item then continued but be rude and not care about our problem was. This is not how management is supposed to be. We were told we were yelling when we werent, we were ignored and shown they don’t care care bout their customers here. We won’t be back.

By now we are all in a place understanding that things are out of stock !I drove to High Point to get Christmas lights because the Salisbury store was out of stock after getting home realizing that they had way overcharged me bringing my receipt over to my local big lots Mick the store manager Adjusted the price and fixed my receipt I was delighted I haven’t had this kind of customer service in a long long time it was nice and refreshing thank you for that. It’s nice to feel that the customer is taken care of kudos to him

My mother 87 years old went to this big lots the girl working was as nice as could be because we had driven 38 miles to get the Item and she was on her toes and had it ready for Mom but when it came to checking out there was a long line and this man came in and started bossing everyone around and being very rude! If he was some type of management he needs to be FIRED!

Sincere thanks to Jessica and Jayne. I went to the Salisbury store yesterday June 11th 2022. I received the best customer service ever! I went to the Kannapolis store 1st and the manager would not sell me the metal bench that I wanted because it was the display and the only one in the store. Instead of the manager asking me if I wanted him to call another store I had to ask him to call another store and he gave me the number and I called the Concord store, no one ever came to the phone. I called the Salisbury store not only did Jessica answer the phone very nicely but she assisted me promptly. I also want to give a shout out to Jayne who works in Patio furniture, assisted me and found the bench I wanted in the back. Good customer service is very hard to come by these days. Thank you ladies for a wonderful Big Lots experience!!

I came into the store today with my heart set on a particular set of furniture. Marie and Chloe was determined to make it happen! I left with the furniture that my heart was set on including the perfect set of tables for the living room to match. These ladies dedicated 3 hours To help make my living room perfect. I must say today was very good and productive day! can’t wait to go home and enjoy my new sanctuary

Worst place to even work let’s just start by saying people don’t waste a dime there trust me the managers don’t care for you they treat customers and employees like there animals they aren’t professional the store is disgusting and they blame it on the stockers when really it’s the managers fault I will be contacting corporate and I will be making sure there all accounted for because it’s wrong and also there racism towards wanting to hire black workers has gone too far mangers said they only look at stockers as bodies so if u want to work there and become just a body then that’s you

I really like Big Lots, the company along with the stores. This one in perticular seems to never get stock on a regular basis though and the isles are cramped it feels like. In the defense of the staff (whom are all really helpful and nice) they don't really have control over that issue. The store is cleaner then average though. A pleasant shopping experience for me here, but don't expect a Ritz Carlton experience here.

I called the store in August 2018 and asked about the sales they were having. The lady went to check the prices for summer clearances and informed me of 50% off items on patio chairs and accessories with prices she took the time to stop and look at. I am impressed with her detail and courteous responses. I am giving them 5 stars.

When Big Lots as a brand first opened I shopped there quite a lot, but as time has gone by I really don't see the need any more. The quality matches the prices which is definitely part of my decision making.

They seem to have a wide variety of items from food to mattresses. Sorta like a mini Walmart.

I had been looking for a mattress and box spring set for a couple of weeks. At other places what they had that were reasonably priced were junk and off brand products. I went to Big Lots and I bought a very well known brand name mattress and box spring set and it was only $15 more then the junk that everyone else had. Big Lots was having a Labor Day sale and I got one hell of a deal. I'm supposed to pick it up today because I thought that their delivery price was high, $65. I haven't slept on it yet but it was so comfortable in the store, can't wait to try it for the whole night. Big Lots is definitely worth checking out.
