If you live in Rutherfordton or you are just passing through, turn off of US 221 for a block and enjoy some delicious ice cream!We have tried ice cream in many places, but I think this is just about the best ever. None of that store bought mass produced stuff. Just like homemade. And there are some really unique flavors.The staff is really customer oriented and they will give you free samples to try. But choose wisely because you only get three!There is plenty of room to sit and enjoy your ice cream, or you can take it with you. There is a small room that can be used for kids parties or just for meetings.We travel through town regularly and we just discovered Scoop, but there are so many flavors to choose from that you can bet that we’ll be back!

Stopped in today @ this location to get some more of their Key Lime Pie... ( I got some from FC location yesterday ) This flavor is so great! I'm a huge KLP fan & this ice cream hits the spot for me. This is definitely a place to stop by for when you want a sweet treat. Need something to do to get out of the house with the kids for an hour? Hit up either Scoop ice cream locations! Super delicious with so many flavors to try! All our old favorites plus some pretty new great ones!

I am definitely happy I found this awesome spot. It has amazing ice cream available in cups and different cones. This ice cream shop's aesthetic was interesting, unique, and pleasant. They also offer smoothies and floats, so it's an all around frozen snack kind of place. It is a local business with quality service that is friendly, fast, welcoming, and helpful. The menu is extensive to say the least and should have options available for anyone. There is adequate parking available, possibly even more than enough parking. It includes amazing outdoor seating area that sits under large and old tress with lighting for their evening hours. Outdoor seating area is open to pets. I highly recommend anyone in the area, locals and tourists, stopping by and giving their scoops and treats a try!

A scoop of ice cream on top of a milkshake? The small shake with that scoop was huge, very glad my husband and I split one. We have different tastes in ice cream, so we compromised on the Carolina Mudslide, the coffee base I like chocked full of Oreos (his favorite). It was awesome! Only wish they were open more often; perhaps, they will be during the summer months. Will definitely stop again anytime we are in the area.

I liked it ok. The guys working there were great and I loved the set up and atmosphere. There were also a lot of different ice cream flavors to choose from and samples if your not sure which to choose. It's a cute little place.

Great second (or third?) Scoop location in a bright and happy re-do of an existing building on a main thoroughfare. (Thank you, Scoop, for improving our community by turning an eyesore of a building into a delightful site!) So, so many amazing flavors, plus the creative "secret flavor of the day." This ice cream is the premium stuff. What a fabulous treat!

Not to mention, their ice cream shop is so cute you can’t help but want to sit down & stay a while! My dogs are even obsessed with their pup cups & give this place 10 paws out of 10 🐾

I love their new location! Good selection of ice cream, shakes, floats, smoothies, and frappes. You get to sample flavors. Everyone was so nice! They also give free doggie cups with a scoop of vanilla with a milk bone inside and peanut butter on top.

If you're near the Lake Lure and having a craving for some ice cream or a milk shake then you need to stop here and give this place a try. They were extremely friendly, clean, and the ice cream choices were many and fantastic. Definitely give this a try.

Less than 10 minutes from my parents house and it’s the perfect spot for a cool treat on a summer afternoon. We’ve visited multiple times since we’ve been in town. They have the best chocolate ice cream and the kiddos love the color changing spoons.

Love the strawberry cheesecake milkshake. The extra scoop on top is really good too . I was bummed at first when I found out they weren't going to have Tony's Ice cream anymore but the kind they have is every bit as good. It may be a lil better!

Scoops Ice Cream in Rutherfordton NC is wonderful. I love the huge variety of flavors, floats and snow cones. The staff has always been attentive and super friendly. Very clean location and family friendly environment. My kids love their milkshakes with a scoop of ice cream on top. Our shepadoddle enjoys his pup cup as well. You are missing out if you haven't tired Scoops!

Huge portions my word a 2 scoop looked like 1\2 Gallon size & mom liked but couldn't eat that much ice cream & my guy got a soda float & said the vanilla wasn't Vg to him,the place was nice & had seating not bad.Price was Fair for what they offer...

It was a day of riding around in Kermit, showing off the old Stingray. Weather was excellent & ice cream was being craved. Scoops fit the bill nicely. Wish they also had soft serve, but what they had was yummy.
