I'd never been to a Food Lion before I moved here and this was the first one that I visited.They have fairly good products to choose from although it would be nice if they had more vegan options and a wider craft beer selection.Groceries cost more here than they do at Walmart or Aldi but the convenience is nice. I continue to give them my money for this reason.Oh and they have those small double decker shopping carts that are perfect for when you don't want to haul around the bulky larger carts.

Love Food Lion but the one on railroad Avenue in Rutherfordton NC is absolutely ridiculous because of NOT ENOUGH PARKING to begin with and then they take some spaces to have as pickup orders ... when there are other businesses using the same parking lot REALLY??? Who ever decided to keep the store where it is and not move across the road to BI-LO building when you bought them out has lost their mind ... I'm not the only one who feels this way anyone I talk to about this Food Lion says the same thing !!!!! Also you can't get through the fruit and vegetable area because there's always someone stocking and has their buggy and boxes sitting everywhere blocking the isle. FRUSTRATING

Nice clean store. Well stocked. Nice variety of traditional and trendy convenience foods on shelves and in freezer cases. Fresh produce. Staff pleasant and helpful.

The selection isn't bad but the employees and the customers are apparently in a contest to see who can be the rudest and most incompetent, and everyone is winning. For example: the 1 checkout lane with the light on has no one at it. However there is an employee at a closed register 2 away. He then says he can take me at the register between him and the one that's supposedly open with the light on. At this point, some white trash Chad comes from the wrong side of the register and cuts in front me. This is when the oaf who was supposed to be at the open register finally came sauntering up. This was the first time I've ever shopped here and I hope to never do so again.

Forget getting out of this place. 2 registers open. The manager is outside. And 20 employees are staggering around this place. Horrible. They shut down Bilo across the street and everyone except food lion has suffered. I hate this place with passion. Horrible management.

I placed an Instacart order to pick up at this store.I waited over 10 minutes at the parking spot. I called them twice, the second time I called, she simply HANG UP ON ME. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Who hangs up the phone on a customer??????????????????

Been killing time waiting for pickup order because it's delayed by store. Show up at pickup time. They say they don't have the order. They have the order it's just large and raining. We cancelled our order and it says refund in 5-10 days. That's ridiculous for a over $300 order. Furious doesn't explain it.

I don't shop here at Food Lion much but ran in 1 in N.C last week and things were fine and at 1 point I was noticing that their logo was "Fresh or your money back", I think it was, only to get home and go to eat some of the cereal I had bought, and it was NOT FRESH!! And I know because I have eaten this kind many times throughout my life, so I know, and that was disappointing. Yeah I could have got my money back, but by the time I use my gas and time to go back and go through the motions, am I REALLY SAVING HERE?!?!

I shop at the Food Lion in my home town daily. The one surprised me on so many levels. I wish my store was this big. I found a great selection. The prices were perfect. His will be my place to shop when I'm in town.

This Food Lion located in Rutherfordton happens to be remodeled & has a clean presentation. Shelves were stocked and organized well, alongside item availability.My only concern with the store is the parking lot, not only is the parking lot small & immensely congested it has to compete with several businesses that are on the strip adjacent to Food Lion. Regularly are accidents almost occurring, it is to my surprise that nobody has been killed or injured.Overall, very clean and organized store with good item availability.

I really like shopping at Food Lion. The store is always clean and neat. I especially like the selection of organic options. I would like to see more organic frozen vegetables.

Service is always great. Of course like all other stores across the nation, supply and demand is horrible. I only have one complaint which is, checked your produce carefully. When I got home found some vegetables that were no good and couldn't get a good view of them at the store as they are prepackaged. Lettuce was bad, some potatoes in the bag were rotten and cilantro lasted a day after I got it home.

Clean, well-organized store. Friendly, efficient staff. Getting out of the parking lot can be tricky if there's a lot of traffic or the school next door is letting out.

Always clean, friendly cashiers and more then two mobility scooters which is a plus in my book. Layout is pretty great and they have a great deli and bakery area!!😊😊

Horrible customer service. I would hate for any other customer to have the experience I had this morning with Zachariah Melton and Derrick Reel. I could not “count on them” to serve. Walmart was able to do in seconds what Derrick Reel refuses to do. His choice of words: “I have the right refuse service to you” does not feel right. It got worse when Mr. Melton (assistant manager) accepted the statement and did not try to assist. I will NEVER go to a Food Lion again. And, I will make sure I share my experience as much as I can.

The staff here are wonderful, buuuuut: Parking lot is striped with spaces made for subminiature European cars. If you park here, your car will get dinged up. There is always a smelly, sketchy rural urchin with neck tattoos asking me for money or a ride somewhere. I only shop here because the BI-LO catty corner to it closed and the next decent grocery store is over 4 miles away. The aisles are claustrophobia-inducing. More than once, the milk expiration date has proven inaccurate. :(

Half and half is always sour within expiration date. Always. Ten times. Other reviewers said same thing about milk. Walmart half and half is never sour. Im over it. They need to work on this.

We really appreciate what a good job this store does, and enjoy shopping there.This store is very convenient for us, and also sometimes carries things other stores do not. If we buy the house brands, and take advantage of sales, we find that the prices are quite reasonable.The store is well kept up and well stocked, and even has spacious, clean restrooms.

This food lion is the nice, new, & clean. It's actually the nicest food lion I've been to. Most grocery stories with the good deals you have to sacrifice a good shopping experience, but this place even has the friendly staff to go with the consistent sales and low prices without sales. They even carry some nicer products I can't find st other grocery stores.

What a great store if you need cash back and don't want to pay an ATM fee. You can withdraw any specific amount within a dollar, up to a max of $200 per register, if you need more than that, just walk over to a different register. But what makes Food Lion stand out from the rest is that they don't require a purchase for cash back. Just walk up to a cashier and ask for cash back. They will accommodate your needs.

Great staff and good selections. This is one of the nicer Food Lions in the region. Some of the other patrons of this store can make you want to leave. Very rude customers come in a lot of the time. While that is to be a expected sometimes, the staff really do make it a great store in spite of that fact. Please be nice to the staff and they will be nice to you.

Food Lion has been around for quite sometime now. They recently remodeled this location however it still feels cramped not much room in the aisles the lighting has been upgraded but still not the best. Pricing is in line with other grocery stores in the area to maybe on the higher side. Like most stores today never seem to have enough cashiers checking people out. So be prepared to wait in line for a few minutes. Forgot to mention the parking lot maybe one of the worst in the area like the store it's self very cramped and hard to navigate. Never seems to be enough parking for all the businesses that are in with Food Lion. So if bad parking lots and busy roads bother you avoid this one especially during rush times early morning, lunch and around 5 pm.
