The store manager Brenda was very rude and profiled my son and I. I've been going to this Rose's location since I was a child and I've taken my child and family with me several times to shop. Out of a million visits, this once she's outside smoking a cigarette. See my son and I get out of the car and before I could touch the door handle she says, "Sir if you're planning on shopping here you need to leave that diaper bag at the register. I said I'm never been forced to leave a diaper bag at a register at any store. I asked her why weren't all the women in the store with tote bags the size of mine forced to leave them at the register and she had no answer just being rude with me. I told her I shop there almost every week since I'm a local business owner and she swore she's never seen me. I finally asked her, "Since we've been here standing talking I saw a white older couple go to the register and check out and she too (the woman customer) has a big tote bag, why wasn't that one left at the register?" I said "Exactly you're profiling me because all you can say is it's posted on the door but I've never been stopped outside the business and informed of this sign and forced to do anything!" Corporate will be in touch with you Brenda! It's sad there was a black employee with Brenda outside who agreed with me and my thoughts about how the manager handled the situation and she's the previous manager. She's also black and felt bad about how her boss handled the situation since she has known me for years. I know almost all the staff by name from working at Wells Fargo so I've grown a relationship with Ms Shirley Tim and a few others on the team. Whoever Brenda is doesn't represent Rose's well! Get rid of her, this type of profiling and stereotyping and why the world is so cruel now!

The deals are good but you can get them at any roses. I came in to simply exchange a broken light for a new one. I was with my grandmother and she went to leave 2 to buy some candy while I was in plane 1. Me and my grandmother waited in line for 15 minutes before she finally checked out and went to the car. The lady at lane 6 called me over to help me out. When I got to Lance 6 and todd her about the exchange she told me they can only do that at 1. I told her to call her manager up because line 1 had literally not moved. The manager came and told me I HAD to giro 1. No help. I lost my spot to another cart and have been here for another 15 minutes. I don’t know if I should say the customers were being complicated or the cashier need help, but it ultimately falls on management. I’ll make sure I got the roses in Durham.

My mom & I visited this Rose's Discount Department Store when the store first open up. Could not find anything. I guess since everything was stocked. Have to try again sometime soon. Then I'll see if I will give the store a 5 ⭐ rating.

I love this place. They have really cleaned up and restocked, everything looks much better. I don't even go to wally anymore. Plenty of dollar items, ok clothes for cheap, not much of a garden shop. Otherwise I usually find all my home needs.

The be was closing at 8pm on a Saturday night. I was refused service. But the employee let 3 other ladies come in front of me. And they were able to get what they needed. It made me feel like she was prejudiced.

Wow this store is in serious need of some management. Where do I begin. First the store is a complete mess. Nothing organized. Every isle was blocked with junk just setting in carts. Clothes just setting around everywhere thru out the store. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff just laying in the floors for someone to trip over. Then the cash register area pilled up and the cashier's were in heaven just gossiping while the so called manager was busy flirting with his employees. Seemed like he was more interested in scoring then he was the store. Never again I wasted time out of my life that I can't get back. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the dollar stores.

This store is cool, it's very cheap. Has a decent variety of stuff. Kind of a junk store but sometimes ball you want to get is something cheap, and they've got it.

I love roses from the time I walk in the door I feel like I'm at home the way they treat you how they keep everything stopped up and constantly seeing someone walking around making sure everybody is happy and okay and to add to that there is no where else to shop where you can find nice things at the right price and something for everybody at Christmas time happy new year roses
