Large thrift shop that benefits charity with huge selections of items from clothing to furnitures and books. The store was also very clean and well organized and the staff members were all very helpful and kind. The prices were fair. Plenty of parking spots. They do accept credit card payments. Recommended!

After loads and loads of donations and probably thousands of dollars spent here. I will no longer be shopping at any of the locations! I bought a boxed up $25 dollar Cory Carson kit for my daughter. When I went to put it together several pieces were missing! I thought no biggie because I know when purchasing used that’s a possibility! But I can’t even put the second story on because of it so basically it’s no good at all! Like we literally can’t play with it because of the pieces missing. So I decided to ride to the store and asked to speak to a manager. He immediately told me that unless it’s an electronic they can’t do anything about it. I told him that it does require batteries and it was a $25 dollar toy that I can’t do anything with now. So I guess this particular electronic item didn’t matter. I had it in same box with sticker and everything. I can’t justify going in anymore and it sucks because it was a weekly trip for me! Make sure you check what you buy and even if it’s tapped up pop it open and assemble if you have to!!! $25 for a box of useless plastic! I might also add that it came with instructions so this may just come down to the store and whoever processed this item. It shows clear as day what’s suppose to be in the box and it’s missing several important pieces. Beware before purchases.

The lady that is always up front is straight up hateful. She speaks down to you, and is just plain rude. You need to change your signs if you charge different prices for box set DVDs compared to movies. This is not the first time she has been rude to my wife and I, and my in-laws.

3 times i have driven over 1 hour to get here and find the store closed early. No post on website explaining why nor a note on the door. Also this store's prices are outrageously high. Never again!!!

I absolutely loveeee this Durham Rescue Location! I drive from durham on a regular basis just to go. I find amazing vintage every time, it’s neat , organized, with a large selection to choose from! I’m so happy to have found them and the staff is great! They greet me Warmly, make sure I know what color tag is on sale and offer their help while I shop. Clarissa the manager is so lovely! Because I shop here often she made it appoint to learn my name and now addresses me personally! Her customer service is immaculate and I enjoy my interactions with her every time I visit! This place is a gem and would love it if the other stores showed up for their customers this way!

This is a nice sized thrift store with good organization and a pretty sizable collection of items, especially clothes and shoes. Update 2/11/23: Most of the store is now even more organized and there is a huge selection of glassware, whereas they used to have a selection of small decorative items on their wire shelves as well but they seem to be low on those currently.

Sometimes they have really nice stuff and cwrtain days different colors tags are on sell. Nice furniture and clothes . It's really organized well to. Staff is friendly I love it just nor many plus size pants

People been leaving reviews saying high prices, outrageously high, ect ect. I don't know what they are talking about. I've been going to Durham Rescue Mission thrift stores for a while, get work clothes and stuff that will get beat up outside fishing or whatever. Dickies work jeans 4-6 bucks a piece. I've gotten Carhartt work pants new with the tags still on them 7 bucks. Scored a pair of Simms wet wading fast dry pants one time with tag still on at 6 bucks, and they retail new over 120. Same with shirts and all. ITS A THRIFT STORE PEOPLE, thrifting is shopping for a deal and you might not always find it. I've thrifted from the east coast to Hawaii and as thrift stores go they pretty good. I put 4 star instead of 5 because of selection, but I will caveat that by saying they can only sell what they get. But I will make a suggestion for that. I've noticed that the various locations have varying stock given the location and that is to be expected. Some of the best scores I've made have been at the 70 toward Briar Creek area and Chapel Hill Blvd store, closer to areas with more money hence "nicer" stock. Spread that stock out a bit more to the various stores, it will make the variety a bit better. Overall good job though guys

I was happy to hear that roxboro was getting a thrift store. Its needed in this area considering the wages paid around here are down compared to the national average. And covid...I went in hopes of finding some home decor and maybe some stuff for the kids. But once I got inside all of my hopes were shot down. THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS!! I looked for 45 minutes trying to find a decent deal but never did. I suggest everyone save your gas, time and money and just order what you want off of Ebay. Because they price their stock accordingly. Matter of fact several items I looked at were way more expensive than the prices on Ebay.. I understand completely that it's a business. It has overhead to some degree. But your surplus is donated. I doubt that the people donating would be doing so if they knew the markup on these items. I guess what I'm saying is, remember that your inventory is donated. It's free. You could pass some savings on to the customer. Because as it is you've out priced me and my family.
