We stayed at lazy j campground over the weekend and it was beautiful. They have an ample amount of campsites. They have tent sites, pop up sites with water electric, full hook up sites, pull in sites, back in sites, pull through sites, just a ton of different options. The campsites have plenty of room too put up a tent as well plenty of space for chairs, coolers, and anything else you need. Each site comes with a picnic tables and fire pit, and they keep the fire wood right at the office. I was really hesitant about using a bath house, but lazy j had there bath house nice and clean daily! And the icing on the cake, the employees are so kind and helpfulfull. Our trailer got stuck on the the way out due to the steep hill and the towed out trailer up to the top for us. We loved everything about this place! We will be back, and we highly recommend.

Wonderful quiet campground on the river! The bathhouse was clean and in good working order. The sites are small and close together but have great views and tree coverage above and between. Certainly old school, no online reservations, but it helps maintain this as a small low trafficked campground!Nearby activities: Very close to tubing on the French Broad and lots of fishing options.

I can't say enough good things about this campground. From the very nice people to the peaceful seclusion of this place. The LazyJ is a very bare-bones campground. There is not a ton of amenities, but the ones they have are adequate. At this campground, you are immersed in nature. This campground sits on a very decent sized strip of land right on the north fork of the French Broad River. You can tube from the campground or very peaceful fly fish it's cold swift moving waters. This campground is also very well located to get to the plethora of waterfalls in the area. You are also a short scenic drive from Gorges State Park, which I highly recommend. So for and affordable very layed back stay with great people I highly recommend this campground. Enjoy your stay!Nearby activities: Various waterfalls and excellent hiking and biking trails!

Not big RV or trailer Friendly.Entry is on a hill covered in rocks with a tree to divide the narrow hill. The bridge to enter is tight around a 10ft opening, with a tight radius to enter it. Trees are overgrown to the point of hitting branches, squeezing on the way to our camp spot, and on the way out is impossible to leave on the path without my rig getting and truck in the the trees to minimize the damage. My half-ton and 28ft rig by 11ft high is a tight fit that will hit branches, beware if you bring a bigger rig.Showers had low water pressure, while the campsite had good water pressure and good power. Easy leveled spot. Friendly staff. Quite area.

Prices are amazing compared to surrounding pricing for other RV places. They offer a very good thing for a very good price and aren't greedy like many RV locations are. Everybody here is super friendly. Nice quiet spot and everybody watches out for each other. Really close to some good waterfalls and a river runs right though the park. A couple spots are backed right up to the river, best ones.

Clean and reasonable space between sites. 30 amp service only. Laid Back. WiFi at office. Cell services for calls is good. Text messaging and data service are “iffy” at best.Bathhouse is very Clean. We have stayed here four times in the past year. Lots of long term and permanents. However their sites are clean. Permanent residents are nice. The single lane bridge over the French Broad River may be intimidating for some.Tubing and fishing in the river is great. A lot of tent campers staying every time we are there.Come and relax at the Lazy J.

Tucked away in Rosman, NC, this campground is perfect for cold weather camping. The restrooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of hot water. Every site has a water pump nearby, and some sites also boast full hookups. No playground, but very kid- and dog-friendly. With loads to do within short driving distance, we had a wonderful time here at Lazy J.

It's very shady at all campsite . You can swim in river and they have slides and basketball goal. They have free wifi but you have to be close to office to pick it up. They are very strict about not having visitors after nine.

Great private setting for camping. Bathrooms and showers were the cleanest I have ever seen at a camp ground. The 3 star rating is for two reasons. There wasn’t a lot for the kids to do, a few swings and slide, and of course the river, and the traffic noise is more than expected for the area you are in. One tip, bring firewood, they sale it for $5 a bundle, but it is a small bundle. I actually spent more on wood that on my spot for the tent.

awesome little campground near a stream. I got in real late at night in a chilly day in December. Fortunately I found a tractor supply that was nearby and selling fire wood. The stay was awesome but there was a skittish dog running around looking for handouts. The owners were aware and it continues to be a problem. The late night check in process was a breeze.

Beautiful campground nestled in between the mountains. About 20 minutes from downtown Brevard/Pisgah Forest. 30 minutes from Gorges State Park and DuPont Forest. Closest grocery store about 10 minutes away.Staff are friendly and helpful; lots of chickens and several ponies! Sites are reasonably priced. Some sites are nicer and more private than others. I've stayed on both tent with electric and water hookup and primitive tent sites and enjoyed both. They don't allow hammocks, which is understandable but still disappointing. Clean bath house, but only one shower per women's/men's.They only accept cash or check! So make sure you plan ahead, although they were nice enough to allow me to pay the following morning after I'd gone to an ATM.

Friendly staff, full hook up & pull thru sites. Great rate with Passport America & not too expensive without the discount card. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway & Dupont National Forest.

It was a true gem, everything was beautiful about it, calm camping, and your right near the stream. Many friendly employees to help you. Definitely kid friendly, miniature horses, roosters, and chickens that your kids can play with! They offer you a big bucket of wood for 4$ definitely worth it. Bathrooms are okay, pretty clean, just one concern but not that serous since it’s only 25$ to stay with a tent with electricity, it’s the hot water, the hot water only goes for about 3-5 minutes then it gets cold, so if you want a long shower, it’s gonna be cold, shouldn’t be a concern to trailers if you have a shower, full hookup is only 30$!! Can’t wait to come back here. Beautiful and wonderful stay. Very worth it.

Beautiful place to camp! It is quiet except for the main road across the river, but even that is not too noisy especially at night. Firewood is only $4 a HUGE bucket along with a stick doused in diesel to help get your fire going! The management is extremely nice and easygoing. The river is nice to swim, tube, or kayak in and is right alongside most campsites or a short walk away. It is not too far from a dollar store or gas station, but not too close either. A short drive to many beautiful natural sites and hiking trails! You get way more than you pay for and the prices are extremely fair for such a wonderful camping experience!

Wonderful family owned campground, conveniently close to Brevard, Gorges State Park, Pisgah and DuPont. Only one bathroom works during the winter season, and the sites are really cramped. Right in a creek. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of road noise that drowns out the pleasant sound of the river.

A quiet, wooded campground on a river. The owners are very nice as well as the year round residents. Very kind and helpful. Love the horses and chickens and cows. About 15 min from Brevard, but can access lots of hiking and swimming and fishing in the surrounding areas.

Great central location to a lot of hiking trails, waterfalls in the area. Only about 20 mins (give or take) from Brevard, so civilization isn’t far. Campsites are clean and spacious, staff is friendly and helpful and the amenities are more than you could ask for. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing time at Lazy J's! Nice little campground in a perfect location to many trails around the Pisgah area. Some sites are on the small side but overall it was a great experience. I'll take the location and running stream over the small sites any day. Check in was super quick and bath house very clean.

The location of The Lazy J is perfect for chasing waterfalls all through the Pisgah Forest and is a quick drive to the Gorges State park. The spots are relatively nice and fairly private, especially if you get a spot next to the river. Now for the down sides that caused it to lose a couple stars: 1. There are free range chickens wandering all over the site with no less then 3 roosters. If you want to sleep in on your relaxing vacation then good luck because starting @ 0600 the roosters decide you need to be up. 2. It's a private Campground yet you have to drink any beers out of a cup. No coozies allowed, so you're beer gets to go warm and flat in the NC heat unless you're pounding them. Overall it is a great spot and I do recommend it but the annoyances should be noted.
