You always get a friendly greeting when you walk in the store and someone always ask to help. Staff listens and seems interested in what problem you're solving that day (for that visit) and tries to help with suggests or ideas if a simple fix is not available. Great store - love supporting the local businesses.

After an insulting experience today at the hardware store at Gateway Commons, I took a drive and my business to this location, and it was a totally different experience. This is a great hardware store. The staff are friendly and quick to help. Their stuff is good quality and easier to find than the big box. Pricing seems about the same so an easy choice to go here and get better help. They did something amazing for me today, replacing a key fob for a modern car with push button start. They had the IT tools to plug into my car and set up the replacement fob right there in about 5 minutes. I was so happy to not have to go to the dealer$hip. Thank you local Ace and see you soon!

Very polite staff who go fast and above to help you. Wide array of hardware parts and accessories. Factory-trained and certified STIHL mechanic on site (either gold or platinum level trained, I believe) who is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Always have what I need in a pinch, great customer service, always a fast checkout process. Sure they don't have as much inventory or the super competitive pricing like big orange, but I would gladly pay the premium for better service, not driving out to Wake Forest, and knowing they'll have what I need. They are my go to for Stihl equipment and any fasteners I need for projects. Keep up the good work Ace Rolesville!

I tried to purchase a lawn mower using my Klarna account and was treated horribly by members of the staff. When I was seeking clarity, a staff member proceeded to say that he was offended by me when my behavior towards him was civil and courteous.I called their corporate customer service department to receive support and was treated horribly by them too. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was blown off and told that someone would call me back within 24 to 48 hours.It was a terrible experience and consequently, I vow to NEVER do business with ACE hardware again.

My boyfriend called and asked for a specific item. The girl on the phone assured him they had the item not once but twice. It was like she just said yes just to rush him off the phone. When we walked in there was only one lady present but everyone working there looked like children. It may be time to get some adults on staff…. The blond at the front desk had us rush over for nothing. Our AC is out and we have children. We could have spent the time rushing over from Knightdale on rushing to a place that actually had our part. Very inconvenient!

Craig was very helpful with my phone order. When order came in Donna wasn't very friendly on the call when she phoned to let me know the order was in. Neither was she very friendly when my husband went to pick up the order . Customer Service is not her niche. However, my order was correct and I enjoyed ordering from Craig.

That’s a good ace. People are mostly friendly. The are a couple of people who do not belong on their crew, they simply lack customer service skills. Other than that it’s a good ace.

Staff is kind and helpful. They always load heavy bags of soil and mulch for me. If you have the rewards card, deals are pretty good but without it, it can be a little expensive. They sometimes run 50% off plants, which you can't beat.

I arrived at 6. They close at 7. My first time here. Needed LED lightbulbs. I was greeted quickly and asked if I needed help. She directed me to the aisle in the store and I found the lightbulbs. Friendly store and easy checkout.

It has always been a pleasure to shop at Ace Hardware, as their employees are not only courteous, but knowledgeable and they do their best to make sure that every customer leaves the store with a smile.The difference between them and the big box stores is as clear between day and night, where the customer service at big box stores stinks, and nobody cares or want to help.I travel the extra miles to come to Ace Hardware store and I do not pinch pennies, as they treat me like Royalty. I wish that more people knew about their excellent service.

The young man there was most helpful. I was in the nuts and bolts section he came over and found exactly what I need in just a minute or 2. My wife suggested we stop at Lowes. I said no. At Ace they help you!

Friendly staff, clean store, convenient location.However, they are poorly stocked on items I've needed in the past and they are much more expensive compared to other places.One star pending for results of an issue I had with one of their products. They will get a star returned if the situation is resolved and I'm satisfied with the resolution.

I walked in the store a week ago and was immediately greeted by the cashier who was very nice, but the manager Arlene was not very nice at all! No smile, no energy, very indifferent. Just like many businesses out there unfortunately. It is very important for all staff (especially management) to beware that every single interaction (with a customer) forms an impression in the customers mind! One bad apple indeed, can spoil the entire bunch!

We ordered and paid for a generator a bit ago and were waiting for it to come in. We JUST received an email saying they cancelled our order! A day before the hurricane is due to start. When I just now called and asked why, they said they didn't have that one in stock at the warehouse but they currently had smaller ones. I asked if I could purchase the smaller one over the phone the woman said she didn't know the current status downstairs in the store and if they still had any. I asked to speak to someone downstairs and was told NO.So now my family and I will be without a generator and we will never do business with our town hardware store again! Very rude to not take the time to help a loyal town customer when it was them that cancelled the order.
