This is a decent grocery store. I have an issue with Thier prices. They are price gouging the customers. It is no way a little thing of vegetable oil should be $7.99. They need to reevaluate Thier prices because the sales and coupons are not helping if you are outrageously over priced .

I love shopping at Food Lion. Even though this is a bigger store, I prefer to shop at the other two Food Lions in Rocky Mount. I seem to end up with more items on my shopping list at the other stores.I do like the way the produce section is laid out here. It’s different.

I really like Food Lion but the veggies wasn't too pleasing to look at. I know the weather has a lot to do with it. Furthermore you need more food, snacks and drinks that aren't loaded with sugar or sodium which would be better for everyone. Maybe a special section so we won't have to go all over the store reading packages.

Staff is Young and absent-minded they don't make sure you have all your bags even when if there is no traffic their mind is in the gutter. Most of them have no common sense which seems to be a superpower if you go in this location

Will not be going back to the gold rock rd food lion...wish I had taken my phone in to show some of the things I saw...There was dried out mandarins on the fruit shelf as soon as you walk in and some shelves were filthy...the shelving with applesauce was disgusting;🤮 there was dried applesauce as well as moist applesauce from some leaking and had not been cleaned up...🤮Manager is definitely not doing there job.👎

Please add self check out and remove these rude unprofessional children from the front of your store! I promise you at least 30% of your profit loss comes from terrible customer service and employees handling your business with their own ideals and attitudes....machines just do the job and collect the money...it's nothing worse than being treated poorly and having to pay for it as well.

This is an excellent place to shop. The employees are friendly.Today I had a unique experience. When I went to my car I suddenly realized that I did not receive my cash back.I took everything back to the store where I received outstanding attention. They found on video that I did not receive my cash back and they corrected the problem and my cash was given to me.They respected me and treated me very well. This was a simple mistake.Thank you Food Lion.

Stood at the customer service desk for forever and no one would wait on me. The young lady beside the desk said hello and went to her register and called customers over that were walking by.... completely ignored the fact that I was waiting first. Ms. Linda is always so nice to me, but she wasn't around tonight. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service skills tonight, especially considering how far I drive just for the great service I usually get.

Went for a late night deli run and to my surprise if was still open and I got the best customer service from a chain store. The meat was cut perfectly and layered for ease. The measurements were exact and the cheese was paired to the meat selection due to suggestions. I doubt I'll go to any other deli ever again.

Very nice store and attractive produce section. The produce temperature is slightly lower than the rest of the store to help preserve freshness. I also enjoy the online choices, sales information, the weekly flyer in advance and so much more!

The cashier was nice and pleasant which is unusual. The store was clean. Check out line wasn't bad. I was pleasantly surprised. I've worked for Food Lion but not the one I went to. They must have a good manager.

I love little grocery stores. As a New Jersey transplant, I wish they offered more diverse products as well as meat selections but for this area, the best Food Lion by far.

Friendly staff. They are always helpful. The food quality has also been superior to the local shopping centers.I have been using this specific Food Lion for over 8 years. It's my favorite one I have been in this entire state.

One of my favorite grocery stores. I always like going here to shop. The prices are good and they always have a sale on certain items. Employees are super friendly and helpful most of the time.

I shop at this store often and today I had a horrible experience. I saw a man holding a baby almost get hit by an employee speeding through the parking lot on his way into work. The man tried to talk to a manager about it but she was very rude. They're lucky it wasn't me, I would have called the police and a lawyer!!!

This Food Lion is soo racist :( The manager is so unprofessional… she profiles her customers, staff is unfriendly towards others and will treat you based on your looks. Terrible customer service!

The store is clean and well stocked. Sale prices make the difference on making a purchase. Deli-salads made in the store have too many butt pieces of the lettuce hidden from sight in the package-the containers of rotisserie chicken salad list ingredients that aren't always in them, ie cranberries, nuts etc. Also cashiers are inconsistent in their demeanor, some are friendly and a pleasure to come in contact with, others make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them by being there. Some will place the bags in your cart and others will parcel out who they respond to. Should be consistent about customer service. The folks doing the stocking seem to be the real representatives of the store because they all positively acknowledge you as you pass them in the aisles. One important point, during the last ice storm, management did not take action on a potential suit provoking hazard concerning ice covering the entrance to the store from the parking lot which had an uphill slope which could've caused a slip and fall, either attempting to enter or when leaving the store.

"A clean, well-lighted place" (Hemingway), warm enough away from refrigerated units, and usually well-stocked. Personnel are genial most of the time. Drawbacks: less extensive offerings (but better ones) and higher prices than the prototypical superstore.

Wish they had vegan cheeses but they've got milk, mock meats, ice cream, yogurt and butter that are plant-based so that's great. I never have to wait long in the checkout line.

Always enjoy FL because it's clean, it has plenty of people to man the cash registers when you are ready to check out. At certain times of the day it's more difficult due to moredicult than other times. But I can find one product that cannot find at the big box store.. 1%Maola buttermilk!

I was witness to a horrible incident at this food lion, this evening! A food lion employee was racing through the parking lot and almost hit a man with a baby in his arms!!!! He walked into the store and when he asked the manager if she was the manager, she replied, " Maybe", SARCASTICALLY!!! This is the problem with retail today. Unprofessional, unmannerly and crude management. Your lucky you don't have a lawsuit to litigate! This manager needs to be replaced! I can't believe how she treated him!
