Courteous outgoing staff. Lady went out of her way to help me 3 or 4 times in a 20min shop trip. She genuinely enjoyed her job ~ that ~ or she's a GREAT actress. She was working 9~27~19. This employee DESERVES a raise and promotion! Just my 2cent worth. 😇

Everyone is very nice there. Some of their merchandise is up too high or down too low. It's hard to find help nearby unless someone is stocking. I like to go there because it is close by and the prices and sales are good. If it's something I can't get to, I just go somewhere else to get it. My issue is with the way clothing is hanging or put on a shelf. And it is all usually in disarray.

The name of this store is sometimes misleading, (Dollar General). Some people think that it means everything is a dollar, but it's not. Also in my opinion the prices are the same as anywhere else, but people think its cheaper because they sell smaller quantities. Therefore pricing items for $2.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00 and so on. It seems less expensive but it's not it's just a smaller quantity. It's good for convenience when you're in a hurry and don't want to go in one of those big box stores.

This store was very busy. Line was long but they opened another register and were every efficient in checking us out. Very courteous staff. Items I needed were in stock. Store was clean and organized.

Since I have not posted in quite some time now I figured that it's overdue . This is my favorite Dollar General. It's in my hood so I am always for where I am until I'm treated disrespectful and that has to happen way more than one time. Why? Because just because I am having a wonderful day, doesn't mean you are having a wonderful day also. Right? We never know what anyone is going through on any given day. With this being said I'm gonna say God bless whoever reads this. AMEN and Amen

I just found out on Easter Sunday my mother-in-law who is 81 years old came into this store between 8:30 -9:00 am. She asked a lady by the name of Tiesha or Tyneshia (something like that) if they had any paper towels and she told her "no". My MIL went back to her car and before she left three people walked out with paper towels. She can even tell you that one of them was a woman and where she put the paper towels in her car. My MIL stopped by there again between 10:15 and 10:45 to find out what the lady's name was that had told her no and the lady actually corrected the other employee (who we think is Johnny - who by the way is a wonderful employee) on the pronunciation of her name while they were talking. My MIL told the other employee what had taken place and they apologized to her. I'm writing this review first because my MIL does not do social media but most importantly because we feel like she was discrimated against because she was white. The reason we feel that way is because those she saw coming out of the store with paper towels were African American. I truly hate posting stuff like this because we try really hard not to treat people differently because of the color of their skin but even if Tiesha/Tyneshia or whatever her name is was prejudice against white people given the times we are in right now she should have overlooked that and as an elderly woman trying to find paper goods should have told her the truth. Although this DG is closest to my home I will not be spending any more money here to support the salary of an employee who not only is being discriminatory against whites but also the elderly.

Decent enough very cluttered its hard when u pushing a cart with kids around the store when there is boxes and carts all over the place but they had some good deals and friendly staff

This is a great Dollar General. It is so huge and spacious. The best one in Rocky Mount that I have seen so far!!! I will be shopping at this one in the future
