Now I have been shopping here since 2019 and haven't had a problem since but recently I have been noticing discrimination when CERTAIN people (African Americans) in general go to the self check out ALL the Frontline employees RUN to watch them now I thought maybe it's just certain ones so I sat there for a while and waited to see if I was correct and YES I was correct if you are African American they will watch you like a hawk while your checking out but if you are not African American then you are good they wont bat an eye your way at self check out ..... now this upsets me because everyone steals stop pin pointing just one group of people. It really makes me not want to return to this store!! GET IT TOGETHER FOOD LION I HOPE SOMEONE REALLY FIXES THIS PROBLEM!!!!

Food lion is always busy. Normally they have several registers open but not today. They had self service open. Get rid of those things. I prefer to see someone helping you out ringing in the groceries.

Well I’m giving a mercy third star to their rating simply because there’s very few employees yet it’s kept reasonably clean and stocked.Unfortunately, their produce leaves much to be desired however, it’s a small out ofthe way town so likely has issues receiving fresh produce.Lastly, i orders pickup thru Instacart so I’m not sure if it was an Instacart shopper or an actual food lion employee who selected and packaged my order but BOY HOWDY did they do an awfully slack job at selection and packaging and attention to pesky details like expiration dates, correct items, and not packaging the entire order like a blind, one armed monkey. Cashiers in the store and Instacart shoppers alike both struggle with product placement … cold and heavy stuff almost seems purposefully tossed directly upon my bread and eggs Who needs those expensive fragile anyway? Certainly not me!

Clean, comforting, inviting atmosphere throughout the store. Also, they had this addictive "cake slice" readily available!*Update*This location is the only one within a 50 mile radius that keeps pitted cherries 🍒 regularly!

Every time i walk into this location, i'm met with a wonderful greeting and smile! The staff here always offers assistance in whatever manner's needed. As a former business owner (now retired), i can say that these employees truly enjoy their job......and seem to have a family like bond. If i hadn't sold my businesses, i would definitely try to have some of these staff members work for me! 😎. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because Food Lion doesn't have some of the products i've shopped for over the years. Regardless of that, i still prefer to shop here. Thank you for always having a smile, and greeting everyone cheerfully. Something as simple as that can be the deciding factor whether someone shops at this location repeatedly or not. My family will continue to shop here, and i suggest that you (other customers) do the same for all of your shopping needs 👌

After being on hold for 10 minutes (no exaggeration). I was transferred from the main office to the bakery several times before the guy in the main office, I guess, had the lady to answer the phone from the bakery. I told her I wanted a cake, very simple, only thing I asked for was the Leo sign added to the cake and she said that they don’t have the machine to do so not will she free hand it for me. I asked was there a way she could accommodate me further and she suggested I call another food lion in Rockingham.Maybe she should have started with that disclaimer before I proceeded to tell her the details for the cake. Would have saved me and her both the time. She didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, she seemed to have a nonchalant attitude from the beginning. I recommend Walmart or your local bakery for a cake.

I have no complaints about food lion. Some people may not like it, they should go somewhere else.Prices are generally not too bad and the selection is above average.Definitely better than Walmart.

Sometimes really crowded, but I'm usually in and out as I don't shop every week. Just run in for a quick few things. Parking lot can be a nightmare with folks who aren't paying attention and speeding. But overall a good place to shop for food esp those items you can't find anywhere else.

Whenever I go here, it's not crowded at all and yet somehow I feel so claustrophobic. The aisles are so small and it's impossible to get around! I do like the option for self checkout though.

Love this grocery store. The loyalty program is great, and the staff are very friendly. Especially when they have deals, its awesome. The only thing is I noticed unless they have a sale going on or let's just say a 2/4 or 2/5 deals...Most of the items are more expensive than other stores. Not just household or personal products, but even most of the food items are up to a dollar plus more expensive. That is a huge difference. I personally believe that despite of the up charge on items here, they do however, have fresher produce and meats than Walmart. The produce bought from here doesn't spoil, become rotten, and wasted after 3 days of purchase. Also any meat I have purchased from here is freshly cut, without falsely coloring or hiding brown, green or any other discoloration in the meat. The meat is always a rich colored red, and never looks, smells, feels, or tastes foul. Best store around for meat and produce. Thanks for that!

Didn't have my VIP card since it's not one I go to where I live now. The cashier was kind enough to allow me to use anyway since I told her I was in town visiting my dad who is a regular shopper and I also wanted to get him a $100 gift card. This was a great experience!

Always clean and always has what I am looking for shelves are a little bare do to shortage of drivers to deliver goods and the employees are nice well mannered and they do they're job so you are not waiting in long lines. I love this food lion

I had a very good experience with Food Lion today! A customer gave me a 5$ coupon from Dollar General to use on my purchase. Plus with Shop & Earn I also save 50$ off my order! That was great!

The best Food Lion in town! They have a great selection of cheeses, wine, and grocery options. If you are looking to pick up dinner items or any basic need this is the place to shop! I usually shop at Aldi or Walmart but this food lion has very competitive pricing. Worth the trip and every penny!

The best meats in town. Great food selection. The service there is great every time I go. Walmart is a little cheaper on some of there food prices. I don't mind paying a few cents extra for better quality food, especially meat's, and very helpful and respectful people. I rented a carpet cleaner from there the other day. I was very pleased with it's performance and it was well maintained. I had tried to rent one from Walmart and could not get anyone to help me at all. Also the carpet machine at Walmart looked like it had not ever been cleaned or maintained at all. Thank you Food Lion for fixing my day. ;)

This food Lion has recently installed four self checkout lanes, which I personally prefer on most shopping runs. This is one of the cleanest and Well organized foodlions i've had the pleasure of shopping in.. And to give it its A+ rating are the staff, always plesant and willing to help!

It was on June 13th 2019 at 4:10pm. I needed to purchase some gift cards. They told me I could purchase the gift cards but they had a problem with the amount of money I was putting onto the card. They wanted me fill out a form. That requires me to put my ss# in one of the blank line. And my license in the other. I was treated very rude. I hope that i would never have to go into that Food Lion
