I have been bringing our teacup poodle here every few weeks since we adopted him several years ago. These ladies have been absolutely wonderful and always put his welfare first. If I request a certain cut that can’t be done for whatever reason, they always explain to me why and may recommend another cut that is best for my fur baby. They always put the fur babies best interest first and I fully appreciate that! They do an excellent job! Thank you ladies!

Very dissatisfied will service received on 3/23/2024. Took dog for a groom was told she had 2 spots 1 on leg and the other on behind but was told will have to cut all her hair down. Very unhappy with service and the high price.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication regarding the policy and treatment at this establishment. My dog was visiting his grandparents, and they had decided to take him in for a simple bath. However, when they arrived with my dog, there was only a brief, informal assessment, and then they mentioned that he needed to be cut due to some discovered matting.I immediately informed my parents that I only wanted my dog to receive a bath, not a haircut. They were told that giving him just a bath was not an option, and cutting his fur was mandatory. This was a clear violation of our wishes, so we decided to refuse the appointment. To our surprise, we were then informed that there was a $25 fee, which we found to be unreasonable, considering they had done nothing beyond the assessment.Even if this fee is part of their policy, it was never mentioned during the phone call or at any point during the booking process. Once my dog returned home with me, I had no trouble securing a grooming appointment elsewhere without any need for cutting.Before considering a visit to this establishment, I strongly advise asking all the necessary questions regarding hidden fees and specific services offered. I also encourage the establishment to improve their communication and customer service, as it was sorely lacking in this situation.

My dogs Max (Blk & Brown) and Anika (Chocolate) have never been groomed so well! S & L are reasonably priced and our dogs smell amazing for days! These groomers are a gem in the Roanoke Valley! Try them out, you won’t regret it!

Consistent customer over the last couple of years. Scheduled a routine grooming appointment and was given a specific date and time. Received a call stating the appointment had been missed and $50 charge would be put in place before rescheduling. We are respectful loyal customers that understand policies; however, a miscommunication of appointment scheduling should not be charged at the fault of the customer. Get charged for missing an appointment that you were originally told was scheduled for a different date and time? No thank you. We understand a business needs to make money, but not by lacking accountability for mistakes. Sad to have had this experience as we have never had any issues in the past and always paid and picked up on time.

I took my dogs there. I believed they were treated good. The biggest downfall is their staff is unreliable. No one was willing to come in for me to at 7:30am on my last trip, because the main lady had prior engagements and when I used them initial I had to pick up my dogs earlier then the scheduled time because the person that was supposed to be watching the dogs had to leave early or couldn’t come in. Another issue is they do not pick up the phone, but they do return calls. Return calls can be 24 hours later

We took our baby blue tick hound there today to have him bathed and brushed. We were welcomed when we walked in the door. I felt very comfortable leaving Beau with the staff. He looked comfortable himself. I knew he would be taken care of. They treated my puppy like one of their own. I will definitely be taking him back. If you have a dog or cat that that needs to be groomed, I would definitely recommend S & L Grooming LLC on Roanoke Ave. in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

Went there to board my retriever mix (Stella) and shepherd mix (Harley) for this past weekend. They are very friendly and you can tell they care about the animals. Great value considering they let the dogs play during the day unlike a lot of other kennels. Best kennel I have been to and drove 45 minutes just to go here. Will definitely be back.

I have a high energy dog that is scared of being groomed. I was worried after dropping her off, but after picking her up I realized that I didn't need to be. She was super happy and super clean. She just had a bath and brush and her pads shaved. I will definitely be going back there again!

Wonderful respectful people! The minute you walk in they have a smile on their face that lights up the room. It’s been a wonderful experience dealing with them in the grooming of my many dogs that I’ve had. I would and do highly recommend them to anyone and everyone that I come in contact with that needs grooming services. Well worth the money!

When I tell you the entire staff was accommodating. I wish they had 10 Start rating. Other places told me they look could not do my doggie nails but they did and I LOVE IT. I have two Great Danes and this was my first experience leaving my babies anywhere but I was given such a piece of mind after leaving until I pick them up nothing short of amazing. They received royal K-9 treatment if you ask me. I would highly recommend you leaving your furry friends here. We will surly be back! Thanks again from Lucci, Nike and myself (Robin)!

How I wish this awesome place was closer to where we live. They took such good care of our Boston when we came to town for the weekend. They are absolutely wonderful! This was my first time at S & L and I couldn't be happier! Stacy spent quite a bit of time gathering info about Abby (my shih-tzu baby) ... her likes and dislikes, fears, etc. to make sure Abby had a pleasant experience. Her interaction with the animals showed she loves them ! Abby got the best grooming she has ever had and I was extremely happy with the caring environment and excellent customer service! New to area. Didn't know anyone to groom my new puppy. Called S&L and so glad I did. They were extremely informative, caring, knowledgeable and honest. They tell me exactly what I need and don't charge me an arm and a leg for extras that she doesn't even need. Stacy made my puppy and I feel right at home on our first visit. We started with them, she's almost a year old now and we wouldn't go anywhere else! We actually drive 30 mins just to take her there. Thank you Stacy and Lee for welcoming us and keeping our lil baby girl Piper looking so pretty.

Stacy and her grooming staff are amazing. I take my 100lb pitbull there at least once a month and they do a great job every time. You will not be disappointed with the care your fur baby gets they will come home smelling great and looking good.

These people are Amazing!!!! They are the best at what they do! My Dog comes out clean and happy! These groomers love their customers and are very loyal. No matter what time I need, they always fit me in! Can’t say enough about how pleased I am with this company!

First we went to pick up my puppy and staff made us wait in the lobby for 10 minutes after they called us saying he was ready. We asked for my puppies face NOT to be shaven or touched at all during the “trim” and they shaved a line directly down the middle of his face, when we expressed this was not correct there was no empathy or compensation for this horrible haircut they gave my puppy. Tried to call to speak to the lady that we spoke to about the details of the haircut and nobody answered. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Staff was also unprofessional at drop off as the receptionist was going back and forth with other staff members as we were trying to check in.

Great experience. Haven't even picked my dogs up yet but I know their going to be groomed beautifully. I would definitely recommend them to everyone needing a great groomer. They are friendly and helpful plus very loving all animals. I'm very happy I went there and will continue in the future.

If you live real close and not in any hurry,this is the place for you. Made appointment by phone for the next day, asked how busy they were then told not busy at all. Drop our dog off at 9.50 am, well it's now 1.50. 4 hours later for a toy breed finely done. I feel they take as many walk in's without care to those of us that makes an appointment

I felt comfortable immediately. Our Spencer seems to really like Stacey and that is huge for us. Shop is clean, friendly staff, easy in and out. Spencer always looks and smells great. Highly recommend.
