Great visitor center, friendly staff, great information, clean bathrooms and dog friendly! They a dog park for small and big dogs, water and even a cute station with free cookies and other goodies for the furry friends. This is probably the best visitor center in USA!

The best place to stop for the whole family. Dog walks are great. Rest rooms extremely cleanFolks are super friendly. Located in easy on & off highway. All stores and fuel right there. The best place to stop.Playground: Very clean & plenty of roomRestrooms: Very clean

Great idea. I loved being able to let my dog run and play and stretch after traveling in a vehicle for hours. However, there were parts of the large dog area that were very muddy which forced us to use the small dog area. Thank goodness there were no small dogs there at the time.Dog-friendliness: It's for dogs to be able to run and play in a secure area.

On a long trip this was great for our fur baby. They have large and small dog area. They had a water fill-up station. Only 1 other person there in the small area. Visitor area was closed, but we used the business right behind o use bathrooms. Chic FIL is close enough to walk over. Gas station one driveway away too. Picnic tables and shades spots.Dog-friendliness: It's for DOGs! Lots of balls and clean up bags.Picnic area: 4 or 5 picnic tables.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs and for the dog to get out. There are 2 different runs (large & small dog). I like to stop here because it's not overrun with traveller's and moving cars. There are bathrooms inside the visitor center and the exit has plenty of food and gas choices. The staff in the visitor center is super friendly! Also they have treats to take your dog!

It was a little bit further off the exit than expected. The large dog section is on the smaller side. Some issues with people leaving dog poop behind. Enjoyed that the visitor center provides tennis balls! It was nice to find space for our dog (Labrador Retriever) to stretch her legs.

It's small and pretty bare, but at least there's a place to let your dog run and play off the leash.

Excellent place to stop with dogs. Clean restrooms for the humans and a well maintained dog run (two areas, small and large dogs); fresh water, dog treats, and a friendly staff at the visitor center. Couple of picnic tables outside the runs and a bench/chairs inside the runs. We stop here frequently!Restrooms: Single stall, gender non specific, clean and stocked

A mist stop for the dog lover. The staff is wonderful and inside the visitor center they have wonderful gifts for your dog. We stop every time we drive from VA to the CarolinasRestrooms: Very clean

Excellent place to stop off the highway when you are on road trips! Whoever is running the marketing department for Halifax County is a GENIUS! We ended up shopping locally and grabbing a bite to eat as well. If it wasn't for the dog park, we may not have been able to stop here. Thank you so much for this!

Saw a billboard for this place on my way from PA to Jacksonville NC. This was an excellent opportunity to let my dog out and run. I'm so happy this place was here. Well kept and we'll advertised.

Pickles and I stopped for a quick potty break and to stretch our legs! She had fun and achieved her purpose. However, it just happened to be after hours for the people visitor's center. It is a great place to stop because she can come inside with me when they are open! We will be back.

Great spot to stop when traveling with your pups and, if you're there during business hours, also a super clean, nice bathroom inside for humans. The visitor's center staff is friendly and the dog park has always been clean and mowed when we've been there. They have water available, too!

Stopped here on a ride down from MD with our 2 big dogs and it was the perfect rest stop for everyone! The dog run was split into large dog and small dog sections which we always love. Super clean and well kept!

This dog run was a perfect stop for our dog to stretch and run with other dogs. It’s clean. Other owners there at the time friendly. You don’t see many dog runs near the highway that are safe for all. This was a great find. Also close to restaurants so we were able to have lunch on our long drive.

A great stop for our dog on road trips!! It's clean and they even have a pick up station. There is also a car charge port and the woman working the visitor center was very nice. Definitely recommend stopping here!!

I stopped only to use the dog park (no review for the building). The dog park is small, but great for long road trips. It was clean, there were water bowls out in each area, along with benches and chairs for people to enjoy while the dogs ran around. My only complaint is that the side gate in the large dog area was padlocked, so when I tried to get out with my dogs to avoid an unleashed dog in the entry way, I couldn't do so.

Amazing! Very clean, inside and outside. Great place to stop after 10+ hours traveling in the car with two dogs. Dogs were able to get fresh water, play with complimentary tennis balls and run around to burn off some energy. Every visitor center or rest area should have a dog run.

After driving for 9 hours this was exactly what my pup needed! It’s the perfect size for all dogs and is very well maintained! Definitely will be stopping here again on my way home!
