They're clearly understaffed.Empty shelves everywhere. Very few options. But the employees have all been very kind.I've had to start shopping at another Food Lion because this store is so poorly run. Shelves are empty, meats are out of stock always with empty refrigerators. Now I have to actually pass this store on my way to the 10th St location as that Food Lion is properly stocked.

Prices are high and not enough value on the things they have on sale... I usually go to Wal-Mart. Next time I'll skip them

I was in my Semi truck and had to go to a clinic down the street from the food lion. They let me park my truck next to the store. When I came back to shop there were a couple of young ladies outside on break and they were very nice and helpful!! Friendly staff that will go above and beyond to give great customer service!!

I heard that my local Food Lion had trees, and flowers on sale. The rumors was true, I found two awesome red maples on sale for five dollars each. My patronage was very welcomed, and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing, my local food lion have plenty of cashiers, baggers, an a open customer service desk taking care of all a patron may need.

I went here in hopes of finding some distilled water as I have looked in 3 stores that I typically go to and the shelves are empty. The store was crowded and there were long lines at the register. I was beginning to wonder if it was worth it to get a couple of gallons of distilled water if the wait was going to be so long. I checked and they had the water. I grabbed 4 gallons and headed to the front. I hoped that the lines would not be too long since holding 2 gallons per hand was hurting my fingers and I had not grabbed a cart due to trying to move through the tight areas of the chaos when I walked in.I heard someone calling employees to the front to open registers and several registers were opened. I had to wait behind two other people but the young man who had opened the register was moving fast. He worked quickly and was friendly, and cracked jokes with the customers. He very quickly gave me a different opinion of the store from the one I had when I walked in.I am glad that I stopped there.

Kind hearted and very helpful staff and cashiers though the one kid Jeremy was so rude to me when i asked if he could hand me something of the top shelf. Gladly Shannon the cashier was so helpful in retrieving the items for me . You can't judge the whole store on one bad apple . So you Shannon i adore you sweetems

Store is clean and organized. The prices are pretty outrageous. Most items you're better off buying at Walmart because they're a lot and I mean a lot cheaper. Not all the staff are very friendly. Some hardly say a word to you. It's pretty well staffed though so they're not really lacking in open cash registers or stockers or sales associates. I give 3 stars because sometimes the customer service isn't fantastic and all the items are pretty pricey even for the value of the item itself.

Great store,prices are LOW! Cashier was awesome, she loaded my groceries while I filled out membership! I'm from FL and I haven't seen grocery prices this low in decades! Great selection, have some organic products, I appreciate that. I was really surprised, I haven't been to a Food Lion for over 25 years, I'm very happy with this store, too bad I don't live here! But I hope they have Food Lions where we are moving to, I'm impressed!

I Understand That Because Of The Current Situation With The Economy That The Shelves Are Sometimes Empty. Sometimes You Don't Always Get What Your There For. But You Can Always Manage To Find At Least Most Of What you Wanted. What I Don't Understand Is Why It's Never More Than One Or Two Registers Open And It's Slammed Packed Everytime I Go. Employees Walking Around And It's One Line Open With People Literally Standing In Line Halfway Down The Food Isles. Waiting 35 Mins To Even Get Close To The Checkout Counter. Also. This Pasted Week When I Went It Was A Dude Outside Screaming And Hollaring About Halloween And People Are Hexing And Your Kids Halloween Candy And Halloween Is Evil And Tell Your Child The Truth And Let Them Decide For Themselves If They Wanna Participate In This Evil Etc Etc Etc. Right There At The Door Where People Are Walking In And Out Trying To Go About There Day/Night.I'm All For Freedom Of Speech I Never Have Left A Complaint And Never Would Wanna Complain About It Because That's Our Right As Americans. But I Mean Just Wrong Time Wrong Place At The Grocery Store Yelling And Preaching And Doing All That As People Are Walking In and Out Shopping. If I Would Have Done That And Projected My Beliefs On Other People They'd Say I Was Loitering And Call The Cops. They Just Let This Guy Harrass Every Single Person As They Walked In And Out On The Night Before Halloween. At Some Little Rinky Grocery Store Where People Are Just Trying To Shop And Get On With Life.And I Know I Can't Be The Only One. It Had Nothing To Do With His Message He Could Have Been Talking About Anything I'd Still Feel The Same. I Have Crippling Anxiety And I Have To Work Up The Nerve To Go Into Any Store Bigg Or Small And It Literally Emotionally Drains Me Anytime I Have To Go Out In Big Crowds Or Be Around Alot Of People And Esp In A Store Like Food Lion Or Walmart Or Something It Takes The Life Out Of Me To Just Go Shopping And Walk Around All Those People. Then After I'm Already A Nervous Wreck Doing My Essential Errands You Gotta Deal With That Going In And Out Of The Store. And For People Like Me It Rattles My Already Crippling Anxiety.That's The Point I'm Making.So By All Means Express Your Opinions.But Do It Somewhere Where 1) You'll Reach More People Than That. And 2) Don't Do It At The Town Grocery Store And Terrorize The Old Lady's And Children That's Who's Mostly There Kids With There Mothers And Older Women Sometimes You'll See Men In There Too. But Esp This Night It Was Me And Some Older Women Walking In And Children Everywhere And That's What He Was Preaching Too. And I Was There At Least An Hour And Half And This Guy Was There From The Min I Walked In Until I Left.My Only Point is If That Was Me They'd Have Called The Law On Me. I'd Have Had People Cussing And Screaming At Me For Trying To Preach And Cram My Views Down Other People's Throats.And They Just Ignored This Guy. Which I Guess Was The Next Best Thing To Do If They Did Call The Call Cops. I Just Felt Bad For The Old Lady's Minding There Business And Kids Looking At This Guy Not Understanding What He Was Screaming About.If I Had That Important Of A Msg I Think I'd Do That For More People And People Who Understand What I'm Saying.People Who Have Anxiety And Stuff Will Literally Leave Stores When Stuff Like That Happens They Literally Cannot Even Shop And Will Leave There Full Cart Right Where They Were And Leave Because That Kinda Mess Tears Them Or Makes Them Have A Panic Attack.They Can't Even Buy There Groceries. They Can Barely Do It On A Good Day.So Before You Go Screaming And Shoving Your Beliefs Down Other People's Throats Just Think About How Other People Have Other Things And More Serious Problems That You Have No Clue About.Okay I'm Done. Lol. Other Than That I Normally Have A Decent Experience There. Lol.

Food Lion at Wesleyan College, Rocky Monnt: Imagine the salad fixings, baking potatoes, onions in the cart and you wheel the cart to the far wall to find hot beer. Beer cooler has been down for over a month. Please put a damn sign at the parking lot entrance "hot beer only". Other than that, I love this store.

I patronize this FOOD LION because the management in EMPORIA is frightening and very unprofessional, especially to the customers. EVEN TO THE POINT OF PHYSICAL THREATENING. The sad thing is that even my written statements to Corpoate rendered no apologies and went totally unanswered. So, for my safety, I travel out of my zone. I particularly like this food lion because of their cleanliness, professionalism, and their overall kindness.

Clean store very organized safe and secure. Manager was present prices are medium and high. Understanding COVID-19 supply and demand. Parking lot was fair a few shopping carts needed to be cleared. Sanitizer and clean shopping carts were present. Observed a employee cleaning them with sanitizer

I've never say down and had a meal inside but I have purchased food before. On this particular day I purchased my mother a fish sandwich. The curly fries were hot out of the grease. The fish sandwich was absolutely horrendous. So disappointed

I am 52 years old. For over 30 years I have enjoyed shopping at Food Lion. Growing up in North Carolina Food Lion always has the best meats. I live in Maryland and go to Food Lion to shop for food.

This is a small store. They do sell a lot of wine and beer. I walked around the whole store 2 times trying not find the bread 🍞. It's on aisle #4. In the middle of the store which is sort of weird. Fast check out.

I consider this my local foodlion even though I dont live in Rocky Mount. It's a very convenient stop on the way home. They always have what you need for the most part and always have some sort of sale. The customer service is on point as well!
