You can never get ahold of anyone here. I had one of the workers pick up the phone and ask for another coworker, forgetting which line she was on, and then immediately put me on hold again at my confusion. I’ve been on hold an additional 10 minutes since then and am still on hold. It could be because they’re understaffed and Walgreens doesn’t treat its pharmacy members well, but nonetheless gotta do one star so the company can at least see the problem.Edit: I finally got ahold of someone, they gave me no useful information and when I asked for a prescription number for when I called my new pharmacy they said I didn’t need it. I call my new pharmacy and the first question is my prescription number to make it go quickly without any other calls needed. Just switch to Walmart Pharmacy on New Bern. It’s not that farther and while it’s not the best the prices are cheaper if you have Medicaid or Medicare and the workers have better attitudes/wait times/and convenience options.

This Walgreens’s is so slow I have used all forms of contacting their phone rings till someone picks up and hang up. Try the drive thru literally no car in front of me waited 20 mins till the lady finally asked for my information. I also have walked inside where there could be one person and they take forever to get the prescription together after the doctor send it over hours ago ! Overall unprofessional slow workers act like they don’t want to be there. I would give zero star if I could.

Horrible. Was told by another pharmacy that this location had a rinse that was prescribed by my dentist, and my pharmacy confirmed it with them. Upon arriving, I noticed there's a sign that reads pharmacy is drive through service only from 4pm-10pm. After waiting for 20 minutes in the line, I was informed that they do not infact have the rinse. Thank you for wasting my time. I will be going to a local privately run establishment from now on.

Stopped in yesterday after work. Got there at 9:20pm and went inside. Saw signs up at pharmacy saying drive thru is the only part open after 8pm. No big deal. Went to my car quickly and headed to the drive thru. There were 4 cars in front of me. Irritated but whatever. Took forever to get to the window. By the time I got to the window, it just turned 10pm. Lady is like we’re closed. I said I’m sorry but I’ve been waiting over half an hour in line. The tech then said oh yeah well I’ve been here 8 hours and we’re closed. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I will definitely be getting my prescription transferred to another pharmacy. Ridiculous at the horrible customer service. Wish I could rate this store a 0 star. This location will never see a dime out of me ever again.

If I could give this place "0" stars, I would. Over the last three days, I tried calling the pharmacy at least 5 times because I had a prescription marked "In Progress" while one was ready. They always had multiple people ahead of me, and after spending hours of my time waiting for someone to answer, I decided to go in person. I drove up to the pharmacy lane and there was a janky piece of cardboard in the window. I sat there for 5 minutes with no one answering me, so then I decided to go inside. I went to the desk and was not greeted, but just asked what my last name is. I explained my issue and the employee had no idea what to do. Finally, I was told it is because they didn't take my insurance, although my other prescription was ready and covered by my insurance. They were unhelpful, didn't answer my calls, and borderline rude. Walgreens in general has gone downhill. CVS has my business now (they answered the phone within 2 minutes of my call)

The pharmacy technician named Jeremy was very helpful when I got my covid vaccine yesterday. He had to show everyone how to do their jobs and was very patient with them. I recommend talking to him if you have questions. He wasvery friendly and knowledgeable

The pharmacy is terribly slow. Tried calling several times and half the time they would hang up on me the other half it’d take over 15minutes. My app also told me in progress and then last minute cancels my prescription even though I talked to someone on the phone and they told me it would go through. Only to come into the pharmacy for them to tell me that my insurance doesn’t cover the name brand and that they could put in the generic one but that it would take several days for it to come in.

Updated Review: I was actually excited when I pulled up to the drive thru and there were no cars. I hit the call bell and was immediately placed on by the guy pictured. Okay, they were busy filling prescriptions. 10 minutes pass by and I’m still waiting. The hold music stops so I push the call button again and he looks up annoyed and smirks. I’m placed on hold again and now he and his female coworker start laughing at what I can presume to be about me pushing the bell again. I went to pick up 1 prescription and waited 20 minutes for it with no one ahead of me in the drive thru. Do better WalgreensIf you need to pick up a prescription, make sure you allow yourself up to 30 mins for this. It’s a busy location and it takes forever to get your meds. Whether you pick up in store or go through the drive thru. It’s all busy

I want to express my highest compliments to the pharmacy team, Onnie especially. These folks have been killin’ it to get folks through the regular pharmacy line and the COVID booster/flu line. This is no easy feat. Please make sure upper management receives these compliments. They are providing excellent customer service while managing the stress and other issues folks bring to them. Keep up the great work!

I spent an hour and 45 minutes waiting on the phone to be the next caller. It finally started ringing and no one picked up. It disconnected me. Called back and it said it had more than 3 people ahead of me. My child’s doctor sent in his prescription a week ago. It kept saying it was delayed so I called on Wednesday(today is Friday) and they hadn’t even ordered me my 5 year old child’s medicine. Said they ordered it and it would be in by Thursday. Still nothing. I have nothing but problems with this pharmacy. As a busy Mom, I shouldn’t have to worry that when my pharmacy receives a prescription, they aren’t immediately on top of ordering it if it is out of stock!

I stopped at this location at 8:45 am on a Thursday (they open @ 8)And Drive Thru was closed!!!! I had to get down to go inside to pick up my medicine with my 2 1/2 month old baby at 32 degrees!They said they were short on staff but I wonder why the person helping inside couldn’t help drive thru? They weren’t even busy inside the store.

This is not a functioning pharmacy. My prescription was ordered three weeks ago and was on back order. I checked in every week and they said “come Monday” every time. They never ordered it. They finally ordered it in front of me, then Walgreens app said my prescription was cancelled. I came in and they said come back in 45 minutes they have it. I came back 2 hours later and they only gave me a “partial refill”.This has happened EVERY time I’ve gotten a prescription filled here. Like 4-5 times the exact same scenario happens! They won’t fill anything unless you bother them about it every week. They just lie, and say they ordered it when they didn’t, and it’s really just non functional. Get it together.

I had a similar experience as the most recent review. I had called status line to see if my prescription had been received and medicine filled. It just said order was not there and to call. Same situation as previous review. Waited on phone 45 minutes waiting to get to 1st caller, then it rang about 20 times with no answer. This has happened with some of my other meds too. I know this corporation has enough money to hire more pharmacy associates. I am weary of this.

Very rude at pharmacy, also they do not answer when you call the pharmacy and keep hanging up. I asked a tech about two different medications and she interrupted me with an attitude and said I was not letting her finish her sentence in front of other customers. I heard her the first time, and said okay, how about the order medication? Rude! Too much bad attitudes and terrible customer service.

Average phone call wait to pharmacist is 45 minutes to a hour. That's after it tells you there is only 1 caller ahead of you. And sometimes it automatically hangs up after you've waited on the phone for a hour. And it's not random, it's basically every time

I would strongly, strongly advise against getting vaccines here. My 4 year old son received his 3rd Covid vaccine here this morning. 5 hour later the pharmacy called me and said the woman who administered the shot “forgot” to dilute the shot resulting in my son receiving 8-10 times the amount he should have gotten. Also, I had an appointment at 10:30 am and had to wait an hour to actually get the vaccine. I really wish I had just left. I’m contacting the board of pharmacy tomorrow as directed by poison control. Please go somewhere else for vaccines as the staff here is obviously to in a rush to do their job and now my son is dealing the consequences.

The little/short lady with the glasses is ALWAYS a pleasure to check-out with. She is ALWAYS smiling and friendly - never seen her have a bad day! She is a Customer Service Light/Diamond: I thought about recruiting her for my business, haha!I am sorry (and ashamed, lol) to say I forgot her actual name because I call her 'lady bug' - I love lady bugs and think they are cute and friendly! I have seen her so much over the years that we talk about her daughter/grand kids and I give her updates about my daughter :)!She is Latina and has been at this location for years, wears her hear slicked back in a bun and sometimes ponytail - I hope she is a manager; if not, she deserves to be one!

Terrible service! After the Knightdale location letting me down, this pharmacy promised to have a medication ready for my son by 8 pm. When my husband went to pick it up at 7:45 they were closed! Why would they tell me to come at 8 if they were planning on closing early?!

Go somewhere else for vaccines, I had an appointment and came early. Waited in line early and still didn't get called until my appointment time to check in for my appointment. Then waited you have to wait some more for the paperwork to fill out, then wait again to be called for the shots. I ended up leaving and making another appointment at white oak pharmacy for my vaccine. Went their it took all of 9 mins from check-in to shot. Walgreens had plenty of employees but none of them are capable of doing their assigned jobs. I was their for about an hour.

Today on January 30th 2023 I have experienced the worst customer service ever at Walgreens at 4403 New Bern avenue with store manager Mr David. 👎👎👎Store manager Mr David was very rude very unprofessional very offensive and very disregarding to customer skills and customer equality and satisfaction ... I came in the store to do a return on some recent purchases which I had currently a receipt the other purchase I was requesting and asking for a Walgreens credit card to receive some medication due to myself being a disabled individual with a medical diagnosis also with a medical rollator chair. Mr David had no regards to any compliance or any positive gestures with my situation as a customer. 😞😞😞He was very rude told me that he was not doing my return if I didn't have the card which UnitedHealthcare changed cards to a new U-hub which unfortunately have not been able to receive yes of yet. He blatantly did not care tried to send me away from the line and that was very rude and very disrespectful as a loyal customer to Walgreens I have never experienced any type of experience ever this bad😓😓😓which I'm now still out of medication which I need really needed for my conditions this is the worst experience ever that I've ever had any Walgreens ever I recommend you to do not go to this establishment because Mr David is associates are very very very rude! AND VERY UNPOLITE👎👎👎👎👎

I will put up a video the next time I go in here the lady at the register needs to be replaced if she can’t keep up I wait over 20 mins with two people in line and the other lazy workers just stand by who hires at this location all are just complete low paid idiots get some good employees so we can be in and out with a pleasant experience

I only come to this particular Walgreen's if there is a dire need. I've had some pretty unpleasant experiences here. The pharmacy staff is incompetent, rude and slow!I've had the Indian woman. She is by far the rudest.I have also had the Caucasian male, really sarcastic and rude.The kicker is the wait time is really long. One time I was behind a couple for 30 minutes, when I pulled up for a prescription that was supposed to be ready the previous day, the rep had a nerve to ask me to pull over and wait. What???? Insane. I can wait behind someone for 30 minutes but can't immediately pick up a prescription that was supposed to be ready the day before??? Needless to say, I did not budge until I received my prescription.

Literally every time I come to this location, there is only 1 person working in the pharmacy and the wait is a MINIMUM of 20 minutes. While the staff themselves are nice, it is clear they are also overwhelmed bewtween the wrap around drive through lines and the lines in store. When trying to have my rxs delivered or even to do express pick up online, I always get an error message that there is something wrong with their system and my request can't be processed. Needless to say, I'll be looking for another pharmacy location.

I’ve been with Walgreens for many years. Each move I have to transfer meds to the closet to me- I must say. Walgreens on Newbern avenue- the 4408 store is absolutely the best- I live 30 minutes away but will definitely travel to continue with this store- the staff is caring - and shows concern - always smiling and never give bad attitude- (like the others)Chad- is awesome!! He always makes customers feel at ease when stressed about a prescription and he goes the extra. I love this particular store and I always have a great experience.Thumbs up to you guys for showing true compassion and kindness!!Ms C

This location has to be worst location ever. Not sure if it’s just a coincidence the system might be having a issue every time or just untrained employees. I believe it’s the latter. I always have a problem picking up my prescription. Last week there was a issue with getting my medicine. The young guy was able to correct it with just the insurance card. However this week another guy didn’t seem to know what he was doing and the difference between a insurance card and a prescription card. He kept telling me it wasn’t on file and then said it was on file and then said it was a different one. Mind you these are the same cards I used last week to get my medicine. Due to the employees being ignorant to certain things I am unable to give this is lessons. Just go ahead and....

Opposite of what others have said, I always have a pleasant experience here! I called to transfer my prescription after a mess up on my end, and they did it quickly and efficiently! It was also ready before the time they told me. Will always choose Walgreens over CVS :)
