We absolutely love Pet Supermarket. They have been so instrumental in helping our charity get food to the pets of those financially impacted by the pandemic. They have a lot of great sales, and most of all they have a great staff!

Most of the pets here seem to be quite skittish and are generally nice if you know how to handle them. I bought my budgie from here and he's very nice and loves my company!

This place is great! I have an aquarium that I needed to stock up. I have been to many pet stores and this is by far the best for fish and aquatic plant shopping! The manager is very knowledgeable and helpful. I wanted a particular type of fish. They had none in stock, so she ordered them for me. They are beautiful and healthy and make my tank pop! Their fish are all well cared for as well as the aquatic plants they sell. Display tanks are clean. The whole shop is clean and inviting! Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Reasonable prices too. I definitely recommend them for your pet needs!

Do NOT give this place your business. In addition to the atrocious workers, the pets are ill cared for and some were very sick. A couple of the hamsters had severe wet tail, which will eventually lead to death. The parakeets are losing feathers and had a water bowl full of poop. Two of the hamster cages didn’t have wheels and the other two had wire bar wheels, which can cause bumble foot. Also, due to the open top cages, a woman and her daughter were allowed to pick up the dwarf hamsters. They were very rough with them and squeezed them to where they were squeaking and then dropped them instead of putting them down. They also caused a Syrian to get crammed behind a broken part of the cage. During this ordeal the workers just sat by and watched casually and were very rude when we asked them to get involved. The worker at the fish tanks tricked a woman into buying a silver arowana for her 20 gallon even though this fish can grow to be 4+ foot in length. I have never seen a place care so little about the well being of their animals.

Horrible customer service, was entirely ignored, treated terribly when asked for help, by an employee, then got help from the store manager when that employee just left, who was only slightly better.

Nice, large shop with friendly, helpful employees. Higher end quality pet foods. Large selection of pet toys and treats for cats, dogs, and small animals. Appeared to carry a large variety of pet fish too.

They usually have great supplies and I use to frequent this store because they use to let me play with the hamsters but recently the employees have become rather rude about me touching the animals and will even follow me around the store. Recently, they put a lid over their once open hamster enclosure which I personally feel like was a jab at me. Won’t be going back.

Purchased a bunny from there last week and unfortunately passed away today. Lady told me all the rabbits were 3-4 months but this one looked significantly younger than all the other ones and tried to place my rabbits death on me when during the 6 days he was fed, loved, and had plenty of water. They get their pets from Sun pet in Georgia which is a terrible company. Please don’t get your pets from here.

I'm not really a fan of this one. It seams vastly in favor of dogs, so their stock and options for other pets is severely lacking. The animals don't seem to have very high quality enclosures - tiny metal cages with no toys and limited bedding. I would like to recommend this alternative to big corporate stores like Petco or PetSmart, but I really can't.

Bought this today and right before opening it and feeding it to my pets , I discovered LIVE worms all inside these treats. They were squirming all around. I feel so disgusted that I was about to feed this to them. Saw another review on here about worms in their dogs food… seems like an issue throughout the store. Please check everything you’re feeding to your pets carefully!

I stopped in recently to get myself setup for my new kitten. I met the manager, Dorian, who greeted me at the door. She was incredibly friendly and helpful. She knew all the best products that would make my kitten feel at home. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the store’s products and truly made my experience a delight. The cashier, Essence, was incredibly friendly and was really the icing on the cake for my experience. Pet Supermarket has a lifelong customer in me and my family thanks to Dorian and her great staff. I would definitely recommend this store to all pet owners in the Raleigh area!

Went in for a bearded dragon. Robin and all of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me pick out the perfect tank and explained everything in detail. I will definitely be back for my future pet purchases.

I went in today for fish products and left with a bunch of useful info the young lady Kristin is the one who helped me and was very informative on fish habbitats and which get along with my fish, she even took the time to look up issues I'm having. The management was also very helpful and a young man was working that was very nice to my son. I don't know if I can go to another pet shop after experiencing this amazing customer service. (On top of that all of the fish looked healthy and happy) which is something I can't say about the previous place I was going. Thank you guys for having a wonderful staff.

Bought my dog dry food that was on sale and was satisfied until I took a closer look and there were green worms and webs all on the top part inside the bag while the worms are on the food. Not sure how long this food has been sitting on the shelf but this is not good. Will be coming in for refund this week.Its Stella and Chewys small breed raw blend. Watch out.

Love this pet store. Perfect size for plenty of variety and options but not huge like some of the other pet stores. They seem to focus mostly on fish, cats and dogs. Staff are always friendly and helpful when you have questions about products or need advice on issues that your pet may be having. Every Tuesday from around 6 to 8 (might be 5 to 8) they have a dog groomer set up to shorten nails for a low price. My dog is petrified of having her nails clipped and will try and bite and escape. The lady was very professional and handled her well. Instead of clippers she uses a nail sander and it does a great job. Definitely my go to pet store.

Pricing is higher then Petco and PetSmart. I purchased blue for my dog and the pricing was $12 over. After talking to the cashier about it I was told to call or email corporate and they told me to go and talk to the store about the price overage. Not going back and forth with this company, I will continue to shop with Petco and PetSmart
