Really a ZERO but couldn't post without a star. Worst customer service ever, and it starts with management (the African American lady with the locs). The 2 on the register attitude screamed I don't want to be here. Total mood killers, and not a pleasant emotion in sight. A very sad and rude atmosphere.

Was waiting in line with 4 items. The cashier asked the person she was currently helping for ID because she was paying with WIC. The customer had it in her car and sent someone she was with to go get it. While waiting for a minute, awkwardly, watching the cashier chew gum, I noticed the line next to me was short so I picked up my items from the belt and moved lines. Once I had done this, the cashier tells the guy who was behind me “oh, let me put this order on hold”. That was an option the whole time?! Awful customer service. My new cashier only grunted at me in response to “thank you, have a good evening “. But at least I could leave now. Awful.

Restrooms were clean. Everything is well organized and it seems like they have sales a lot of the time. Some of the produce has wilted but everything looks good overall. There is a lot of variety - organic products, produce, meat, florals, hot bar, snacks, baked goods etc - you could find everything you needed here.Some incredible deals to be has - HUGE bag of kale for $1.99! They also had a special for turkey - $0.37/lb ($35 minimum purchase) so if you waited to do your weekly shopping, you could score a cheap turkey or five. :)But above all, the staff are what makes thus place! Everyone was so happy, calm, gracious and friendly.

Mask not enforced. Employees wearing mask under nose. Slow store. No self check out lines. Old fashioned location needs upgrade like other locations in Raleigh. 2 lines open saying full service but going at a snail like pace. Was in area and thought I can save time going to this location to save some time what a mistake. Would stick to my neighborhood location.

I lovingly call this location the Hood Lion. I don't go alone after dark because I usually get harassed in the parking lot. 95% of the staff are rude and will straight up ignore customers to talk. There are often times I just turn around and walk out because the lines are too long. This is frequently a problem. But hey it is cheap.I really miss Kroger. I might have to try Lowe's instead.

Store and products ok. Men's bathroom was nasty as hell. Absolutely no reason for a grocery store serving the public to have a restroom that looks and smells like it hasn't been cleaned in 2 or 3 months. My wife went to the women's bathroom and came back out saying it was too nasty. Food Lion, you have to do better. Also I have notice the lack of attention to keeping the bathrooms clean and sanitary in numerous Food Lion locations here in North Carolina

Not the shining examples Food Lion corporate offices undoubtedly hoped for. It's a grocery store that's reasonably well stocked (although the meat section leaves a LOT to be desired) and reasonably clean. What earns this place the 3 star review is the people. Yes, I know working at Food Lion is not the peak career most people working there hope for. That doesn't mean they shouldn't strive to do a good job. The attitude of the people working here (in general...I'm sure there are a few stars in the darkness) is apathy. They don't seem to care. I asked one person stocking the shelves for help finding the "international foods" section and got, "I dunno" in response. No attempt to find out. Just "I dunno" and back to stocking the shelves.The meat counter (I refuse to call them butchers because they're not even close to being real butchers) is just as apathetic. Ask for a special cut and you'll be treated to an attitude of near disbelief that you'd impose on their time, then you'll get a flat refusal because "we don't do that" (this in response to a request of a 4lb chuck roast).The check out lines are populated with people who seem to be working on autopilot. They do their jobs, but their disposition is far from sunny. I don't believe I've ever received "service with a smile"...hell, I don't think I've ever been told "have a nice day" either. Saying "hello" to them seems to be wasted breath because, in the rare occasions where "hello" is even acknowledged, the reply is flat and automated.Yesterday, when I got to the checkout with my single 12-pack of beer, the person at the register was having a conversation with another employee who was leaning on the counter about 6" from the credit card scanner (you know, where most people stand to pay and pick up their groceries). After continuing their conversation for a good 30 seconds, I started to walk to another register when the person at the register picks up my beer and scans it....not a word of hello or apology...just scans it like I had just arrived. The employee leaning on the counter just stayed there, looking through her phone. The person at the register told me the total and went back to chatting with the employee at the counter, leaving me to wonder if I should ask the employee to move or what. Ultimately, I had to turn the credit card machine as far as it would go towards me (which still put me standing 6" from the employee at the counter) to use my card. Once the transaction was done, the person at the checkout slid my beer to where most people would pick up their groceries...directly in front of the person standing at the counter. I had to walk around to the other side to pick it up!The examples above are all examples of the service you'll get here. You can get your groceries and get em home. The place is reasonably clean and well stocked. Just don't expect the employees there to give a damn about your experience. Whenever possible, I go to another grocery store to get my groceries. The fact this place is about a mile from my home means I'm here often, but I make sure to adjust my expectations before I walk in, because I know they're gonna be apathetic and/or blatantly rude.

I rely on my food purchases on this nice cheap and welcoming community food store. Everything is fresh like fruits and vegetables as well as poultry products. A lot of times this store offers discounts, coupons and manager's discount. Staff are courteous and the place remains always neat. Parking lot is sufficient to handle a feast! They also deliver foods like what Amazon does. That's why I recommend this community store, one of the best in North Carolina.

This is not my regular neighborhood Food Lion... But it too met all my expectations. Friendly staff and well organized. Plus... I had a great bonus for earned shopping points I wasn't expecting... $10 off of my quick trip... I ended up paying pennies on the dollar for this visit!

People are always helpful there. They go out of their way to be nice and make sure you're pleased with the products. If you are not pleased you get your money back. I live close by and I would recommend the store to anybody..

It's a busy store sometimes. But is well staffed and able to handle it without long waits. If something is advertised as on sale they will almost always have it. Curtious staff. Clean and we'll stocked. I like spending time there. Safe area of town.

Cashier tried to steal $20 from me when giving me cash back and my phone was stolen by an employee. Not the best experience. I'm hoping when I call to speak with the manager they will review the tape and the person responsible for stealing my phone is dealt with accordingly.

Went about 630 and it was very busy. They had a good amount of lines open and the wait wasnt too long. Shelves were stocked, meat looked good and deli had warm rotisserie chicken. Overall it was a clean and friendly.

Some of the cashiers are simply rude and ignorant won't even speak don't ask if you have an MVP card just ring it up and hand you a receipt. I went there one day to get cash back the cashier told me she didn't have any before she even asked how much I needed. Now unless you only doing card purchases which is no way possible, you have cash and if you don't they will bring it to you I've seen it done. They really need to train or hire better people who know what customer service actually is......

Stood there for about 3 mins watching the cashier clean. When Vanessa finally turned to ring me she never spoke a word. The only thing word she said to me was my total ONLY. No hi no thank you nothing. Poor customer service. Don't worry I rather shop somewhere else. A cashier get paid to ring out customer and give good customer service. SMH

Staff is always friendly and helpful, the store is clean, the lines move fairly quickly, and the prices are good. Although, I have noticed that the chicken breasts that I had bought just one day prior, had a funky smell and I had to throw it away. 🤦🏾♀️ Unfortunately, no matter how clean it is or how nice they are, it doesn’t minimize the fact that the meat was bad. This has happened to me on more than one occasion.Also, today I bought an in-stored cooked spicy chicken sandwich that wasn’t done and I’m now feeling ill. I called the store immediately after arriving home and the manager said that he would double my money back. I’m just praying that it’s hunger making me feel nauseous and not the sandwich.***UPDATE*** The sandwich caused me to have food poisoning and I never went back to get a refund. I’ve just chosen not to shop there.

5 STARS for Ladonya! She was making sure everyone had a membership for discounts and opened three extra lanes when two became backed up. All with a smile on her face!Update: The store seems to have new management. It almost seems like a new store. The reason it matters that more than 2 lanes are open is bc they have no self check out but now anytime mgmt sees lines backing up they open up others right away! No self checkout and lack of space for more grocery options and a few moldy produce is the reason for a 3 star.Old:Only two lanes are usually open, no online ordering, small selection compared to most grocery stores, and a lot of customers hitting on the cashiers. But it’s the closest grocery store and is usually stocked.

Bought a pork roast it was spoiled took it back got treated like a crook, I bought another one that one it's also spoiled my wife it's on her way back cause I never asked for a refund just exchange it. Anyway I bought another one would you believe it it's spoiled I would never shop this food lion again. This store is not bad but b careful with d meat.

I do not enjoy paying the extra prices, but i will gladly pay them than have to go to walmart!! cashiers and workers are very friendly and actually acknowledge you with a smile and say have a good day or hi how are you :] which i really like but i think its in a ghetto part of town too many ghetto people come in
