Great selection and pricing on frozen feeders. Hope they start carrying more live animals. I'd love to find a store that receives reptiles from a reputable breeder. So far these guys are doing great! Their fish are well cared for, bunnies are cute and have a nice selection of merchandise at competetive prices. I will continue to return!

Their groomer is fantastic, she spent extra time with my dogs to help them get used to her. She groomed them very well and they were really comfortable and happy when I picked them up. This comes from them being terrified after a bad experience at a large-chain Pet shop groomer where they were kept in crates all day next to huge aggressive dogs. Discount pets' staff were also really helpful in finding food for my allergic dog.

Place is disgusting. Half the fish in the tanks have fin rot and all of the tanks look they are not taken care of everyday like they should. I would never buy a fish from them because they would spread infections to other healthy fish. It didn't stop there. When I walked to the back corner of the store where all the small animals are kept I was completely disgusted. There was one small 15 gallon aquarium with about 10 or 12 large rats fighting over one water bottle. I went to look at all the other rats and chinchillas and they didn't have any water at all and were trying to get water out the empty bottles. The owner is either way in over his head and needs help taking care of the animals or does not care at all about the animal's health. This place needs to be shut down. Also they had moscitos inside the store and the floor was filthy.

I didn't catch the name of the person I dealt with, so I don't know if he was the owner or an employee, but he spent a lot of time with us while we chose our hamster and answered all questions asked to the best of his knowledge.As to the negative reviews, I'd say it would be very difficult to compete with the selection and price of Petsmart (compare Walmart to your locally-owned grocery store), but he seemed to care deeply about the pets and was even able to give us the history of the hamster we chose, as well as having named him.I feel much more comfortable knowing the temperament of our hamster (Mr. Snowball) than I would purchasing a pet from a big-box pet store. He's been the sweetest pet so far and has obviously been socialized with humans, which is great for my kids.I believe in dealing locally when the animal (or any product, really) has been loved, and he seemed to genuinely be saddened to let the little guy go.Yes, the prices are higher, but the attention to the customer and willingness to talk about the animal are definitely worth the trip.

Wouldn't bother going here. They don't really have a variety of stuff and the things they do have are overpriced/low tier. The owner is never in the store and the one employee that works there barely knows anything about pets. The one time I did meet the owner, he was really grumpy and really wanted nothing to do with us or our business. You're honestly better ordering your stuff online or going over to Petsmart.

Very disappointed, when we arrived at the store it had a very strong over powering odor of urine and wood shavings. Fish tanks were covered in algae, and the water didn't look right.Some of the fish looked sick and had fin rot. There was an aquarum with rats on the floor with a bucket over the lid to keep them in.( looked like they had been there a while) The store in general seemed messy, dirty counters and shelfing, containers of open fish food here and there. I would understand if they were actively feeding the fish but they weren't.I went to get fish, but I wouldn't dare put any of their fish in my tank.

My family and I stopped in to look around. Overall the entire store was dirty and unkept. The small animal cages had flies. I would not spend my money at this store due to the fact it was kept in such disarray and the floor of the entire store was dirty. I can't imagine the animals are in top health there.
