This is our second experience with city pet and we are very impressed! No razor burns which we’ve dealt with in the past due to short cut on the muzzle, the cut I ask for is a bit of a mixture of traditional and non traditional for a Portuguese Water Dog - theyve nailed it both times! Very friendly and quick to get back to you to set up appointments. We will continue to use and rave about their services while we live in the area!

We absolutely love city pet grooming! My boys get so excited every time we go and the staff are more than welcoming and accommodating (even when my goldens come in like a wrecking ball). They are sweet as can be to the doggies and helpful/kind to the humans. They have been more than willing to accommodate emergency baths when the crazies roll around in something gross in the yard and they treat them like kings while keeping the prices affordable. Also helps drastically with shedding, dirty dog smell, ear itchiness, and socialization. Couldn’t refer anyone to any other groomer in town!

I have a 3 year old golden retriever and due to a schedule change on my end, had to cancel her upcoming grooming appointment with her usual groomer. I searched high and low and found City Pet Grooming and was thrilled by all of the positive reviews. We visited this establishment for the first time yesterday and on the surface, everything was great! The wait time, was close to 6 hours which is not ideal but they did a great job...on the surface.Fast forward a few hours later, my girl was incessantly scratching her ears. I checked her ears this morning (less than 24 hours later), and noticed her right ear was extremely splotchy and unfortunately bleeding due to scratching. I have NEVER experienced this before in all of my years getting her groomed so I called the groomer.I spoke with the owner, Carrie, and she told me that she groomed my girl herself and she clearly remembered her left ear was already red followed by the cleaning solutions they use etc. I told her that her left ear was OK and that it was her right ear that was splotchy and bleeding. She then followed that by saying she misspoke and it was the right ear and not the left ear.I also clearly remember, upon picking her up yesterday afternoon, another young lady told me that she groomed my girl and she was not the owner. Not sure the owner was being 100% truthful here.I completely understand that golden retrievers are susceptible to ear infections, due to their floppy ears, but this has never EVER happened to us before at any groomer we have been to, EVER. I do not think the owner was being truthful in the least. She told me to get rubbing alcohol and clean out her ears to remedy the situation (mind you, my girls ear is bleeding....how painful would that have been for her!)I have now scheduled a vet appointment to get my girl looked at since her ear is bleeding and really really splotchy. I am so upset and wish I would have never scheduled with City Pet Grooming.Just fully vet this place before taking your fur baby here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

I took our 10 month old mini Aussiedoodle to City Pet Grooming for our first visit yesterday and it certainly won't be our last! They got us in QUICK and did a fabulous job giving our scruffy pup his first full haircut - he previously only had "mini grooms" because I was so nervous about getting him cut too short and losing his wavy/fluffy doodle look. I'm totally biased, but he turned out adorable! His coat is shiny, coloring is more prominent and he still has that teddy bear face.Drop off/pick-up was quick and easy and I appreciated the covid protocols in place. Thank you for making our first visit such a great experience.

Love taking my cockapoo here. They have consistently done an amazing job every single time. They are very thorough and each staff member knows what they are doing. I love the communication and the texts they send when my pup is ready. I’m a native of 20+ and I haven’t found a place as good as this. I highly recommend especially for doodles

I completely understand that sometimes you may accidentally nick/scrape/cut a dog when grooming, but the fact that I was not made aware immediately or when picking him up is unacceptable. I had to find the THREE abrasions and cuts myself after the fact. Groomers work on live animals with sharp tools, accidents do happen. But it is paramount that the owners be informed, at the time they collect their pet if not sooner. We will not be returning to this business, not because my dog was nicked but because of their failure to disclose the obvious injuries.

I took my pup to City Pet Grooming for the first time today, and I couldn't be happier! I provided a photo for reference, and he came out looking exactly how I had hoped. Today was my first visit to City Pet Grooming. I called earlier in the week to confirm nail care services and polishing. I have a 5month old pit. I told the person I spoke with earlier that my dog is current attending a behavioral school. She has anxiety & she is still a puppy & easily distracted. I informed the individual that I could stay to help monitor with my hand held behavior sensor. This sensor distracts Destiny from an unwanted behavior. I was told I was not allowed in the care area and staff would not take responsibility for any malfunction that may occur. I totally understand. During my time there one of the staff was encouraging me to shop til I drop because I was looking at there outerwear items for dogs. Later when Destiny was done I was told they were not able to provide the nail care service because of her behavior. I was told she knocked over the polish bottle and to not be surprised if she has polish on her fur. I am not and will not ever patronize this establishment again. I was told that they suspend the dog to manage applying theoish and allowing to dry. I wanted Destiny nails done for our family pictures this Christmas Eve. I’m still happy and Destiny is as well. We both have red nails

We absolutely love this place.We have 4 dogs 3 of whom are rescues. 2 rescues have some behavioral issues and the staff knows exactly how to handle them. We also have a BRT and they are able to provide the traditional haircut. So much so when I brought him in for his first haircut the staff called me to talk through the different options. We moved to Raleigh a year ago and this was the first place we went and have never looked for another. I can't speak highly enough of City Pet Grooming.

The entire staff is super friendly. My aussiedoodle was well over due for a cut and now she looks amazing! I brought a photo of what we wanted her to look like, they printed out, and replicated it on her. Would recommend making an appointment ASAP b/c this place is so popular :)

I love my dog's haircut! Everyone there was so sweet and they worked really well with my dog. He was a little bit matted but they still gave him the perfect cut. He gets so many compliments. You can tell they work hard and take pride in their craft. My only issue was that I believe they charged me for a 20+ lb dog when he is less than 20 lbs but I would not let it affect my review.

Cannot recommend enough! The owner is so personable and helped me choose the best cut for my yorkie. Everyone is so professional and friendly. After having terrible experiences with past groomers (always ended up picking up a shaved dog because they would butcher him!) I can easily say I have found the perfect groomer. Love the location and they did it in less than 2 hours!

I absolutely LOVE bringing Gus Gus here! They always do an amazing job with his grooming and overall experience for my toy poodle! And they’re very accommodating! I needed an appointment fast and even though they were fully booked they made an effort to squeeze me in and I was able to get Gus there before heading out of town! This place and the people working here are just the best! Would definitely recommend! The minute you you walk in it’s an all around good vibe with smiling faces and you can tell they love what they do! 11/10
