Getting a guide through TBF was an amazing experience. The setup was easy, as I called in. If you book this way instead of online, you'll save some scratch. They probably save money, as well.I brought my own shoes, so my guide (Scott) put on clip-less pedals for me. Bonus. The bike was nice, and he tuned it to my weight.Scott was an incredible guide. He was knowledgeable about the trails (Dupont) and even showed me the graveyard and some waterfalls. Riding Dupont was epic, and Scott knew all about the best routes.I rode with him for two days, and he noticed that I was having trouble clipping in on the small pedals, so he switched over to platforms the next day. Extraordinary service!Scott was a great rider but an even cooler dude. I highly, highly recommend this outfit. Get Scott if you can. You won't be disappointed! 10/10!

Had a really fun and insightful 3 hour lesson with Cypress! He was able to find some very core error/issues in my riding that were key to improving a number of areas from turns to drops and maintaining speed and balance descending. Very enjoyable experience with Cypress @ the bike farm!

I can't recommend The Bike Farm enough...the Yeti that I rented was set up perfectly and was more than up to the task of handling the phenomenal trails in Pisgah and DuPont. I have done 2 guided rides so far, and those have been well worth the reasonable fee that was charged. No clunkers, just great trails selected based on what I was looking for, and my guide, in addition to being an extremely competent rider, is just a super cool, fun dude to ride with. I will do this same thing again when I'm able to return and ride the area.

Great experience! Brought a combination of experienced riders (with their own bike) and some beginners who had to rent bikes. Guide made sure we had a nice combination of advanced and friendly trails but still kept the group happy. Would definitely recommend again!!!

Our experience at the bike farm with Cypress was fantastic! Our guide was well mannered and a great coach! Our girls along with all of us greatly improved our skills over the day. Our ages ranged from 9-65 and everyone had a ball. We will be back! I highly recommend the bike farm as well as request Cypress as a guide again.

Wonderful experience! We hired Derek as a guide and it was worth every dollar! Derek was well prepared and knows the trails which made our ride soooo much more fun. Quality bikes made the ride a joy- Yetis ! Highly recommend asking for Derek and using the Bike farm if you are wanting a Mt. Bike adventure in the area.

I cannot recommend the Bike Farm enough!! 15/10 experience for myself and my wife during our honeymoon in Brevard. Whether you are a beginner or a professional bike racer, this is the place to go to improve your skills and enjoy a wonderful day of riding in Western NC.Everything was exactly as we wanted/ needed for our private lesson, and exceeded our expectations. The bikes were in perfect condition and featured top of the line components. Our guide Grant was amazing and provided us with careful and valuable feedback, including thoughtful answers to any and all questions we had. We only wish we had done this years earlier in our biking careers - the lesson improved our skills dramatically in the same day and has given us plenty to work on when we ride at home. We will be coming back here again whenever we are in town! Additionally, Grant and the Bike Farm was flexible and allowed us to re-book when our plans changed. See you again soon!!

What an incredible week of riding! We booked 3 separate tours. First day with me & the wife & the next two rides I was with our guide Jake. His knowledge, patience, & understanding of both of our abilities was the absolute most professional experience we have ever had. He guided us the first day in DuPont, on my second day I got an intro in Pisgah. What an experience!! Challenging & fun. I can’t say enough good things about the Bike Farm & our guide Jake! I HIGHLY recommend hiring the Bike Farm to guide you thru the trails. Totally worth every penny! We will be back & hiring them again soon!

I had the pleasure of a guided bike tour with Josh. He was an incredible teacher and rider. Had a great ride through some of DuPont state forest. Learned some new skills and applied them out on the trail. I would definitely recommend checking these guys out if you are looking to improve your bike skills and/or want to experience the local trails and beauty with a guide.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here. The campsites with the wooden platforms are seriously the nicest and quietest sites I’ve stayed at and I’m looking forward to returning with friends and take advantage of the glamping sites. The outdoor showers could have used a small light and the hot water was a little inconsistent at times, but that was minor. The staff/instructors I interacted with really set this place apart. Each day I was able to chat with someone who knew the local trails like the back of their hand and each ride was perfectly planned out. There seems to be hundreds of miles of trails and having someone experienced, knowledgable and on the property help me plan out my routes was invaluable. Staying here again is a no-brainer. Oh, and finally, they have some rowdy trails and a killer skills area on the property! It was the perfect accompaniment to some 1-on-1 training that I purchased. The price of this was very reasonable and 3 hours with my instructor was worth more than dozens of hours watching YouTube videos!

This place is so amazing. I have brought friends, family and this time my wife to the farm. They have such a relaxed atmosphere and the glamping tents are perfect for those who arent into camping. I am setting up my next trip witjh my kiddos in a month. I highly recomend to anyone who likes mountains, bikes and nature.

Beyond impressed with the bike farm. I had my first mountain bike lesson after riding for years without ever being properly taught. What a game changer! With just one lesson, my biking skills and confidence improved 90%. I'm convinced that Grant is some mountain biking God. He was incredibly patient, encouraging, and tailored the lesson to my specific needs. I can't wait to return for another lesson.

My hubs and I had the pleasure of spending 2 days with Josh @thebikefarm over a chilly weekend in March after I surprised him with a MTB trip for his 40th birthday. I planned the trip months in advance. Cashion (one of the owners) was extremely helpful and down to earth on the phone. I felt convinced that the money spent would be totally worthwhile. We flew into NC a day early and excitedly arrived at @thebikefarm 30 minutes early. Josh was eagerly waiting to show us the Dupont terrain. He fitted us on our bikes and we followed him to the trailhead. The rental gear definitely spoiled us because I now want an $8000 MTB for my first ;). One worry we had was that my hubs IS a mountain biker, while I hadn't ever ridden anything besides a huffy MTB and a road bike. Josh did an amazing job at feeling out our athletic abilities and bringing us to terrain that was challenging and super fun for both of us. I learned an incredible amount over the two days and my hubs definitely got his fair share of tips from Josh (they chatted for over 3 hours straight each day -- except on the downhills of course ;)). We really got into our groove on day 2. Josh took us on some more challenging terrain. It was so awesome to be able to just focus on the climbs and downhills and NOT have to worry about getting lost in the wood. Josh knew the trails so well and prepped up on any sketchy turns awaiting us. We wished we had time to book additional days. We will definitely be recommending @thebikefarm to any friends who want to dabble in MTB and have great experience. Thanks Josh @thebikefarm!

Great time. Guide was awesome. Had 2 adults - one former pro rider, other medium fitness rider, and 2 kids - one 12yo girl and other 10yo boy both with little MTB experience. Guide took us on great progression of skill and difficulty, and everyone had an amazing time. Will book them every time I'm in the area. Highly recommend for any and all skill levels.

Scott was excellent. He took input on what I ride back home and picked a trail that fit perfectly for what I was hoping for. 1700 feet of climbing to provide some of the best continuous downhill I have had (I don't live near hills that are that big) and all done in almost exactly 3 hours. Just what I was hoping for. I loved it.

We rode on August 12, 2023. It was an amazing time and would definitely do this again the next time I visit Asheville. Scott was very nice and cognizant of my lack of experience mountain biking so I know he definitely tailored the ride to me. He coached me and taught me how to roll over roots/rocks and had me practice in front of him so he could ensure i was ready to continue with the ride. Scott took us to Du Pont. We went to a waterfall and through many trails in Du Pont. He was very knowledgeable of the trails, mountain biking and was awesome. The bikes we rented from the Bike Farm were amazing. Made the ride so much easier and fun. Oh!!! and we saw bear cubs during our ride.

If you find yourself in Northwestern North Carolina and in need of Bike rentals, Bike lessons, Guided tours, etc. head to The Bike Farm. There staff is astounding. Lessons are thorough, helpful and very fun. Guided trips take to to waterfalls, lakes and so many beautiful sites in the Dupont and Pisgah forests. Their fleet of bikes are top notch Yetis. Mountain biking was new to me but I came out of my experience elated. Give them a go, you won't regret it.

This was my second guided ride with The Bike Farm and once again I was thoroughly impressed! The booking and communication ahead of time was seemless. I requested my previous guide (Grant) and the owner (Cashion) texted me back immediately and affirmatively, and thanked me for coming to see them again. Grant is an awesome guide, and a super polite and professional young man! I met other staff at the shop and got even more of the same friendly, professional vibe. What a cool experience! Today we did a 3h guided ride with Cashion from the bike farm in Dupont forest. This was more than a ride. It was a patient lesson in what to do and not do. He would not let us quit but nurtured our spirit and confidence to the top and back to the bottom of the mountain. Definitely worth doing! Not to mention the best bikes.

Excellent 3 hours with Cypress included some bike adjustments, several body and pedal position recommendations and practice to try to embed muscle memory. I would never have figured most of this out on my own, so extremely happy to take this new mindfulness back home to practice. Will definitely be back to work on the next set of skill improvements, perhaps this time with several riding buddies in tow.
