Stopped by here after dinner during our stay this week in NC. First time here. I love ice cream and this place is worth a try. It's our first time here and got double scoop of rainbow sherbet in a waffle cone. Got it promptly, too. There are many varieties of ice cream you can pick from, such as mint chocolate chip, raspberry sorbet, rainbow sherbet, etc. See picture of menu) You can choose a waffle cone or a sugar cone, or if you want a cup! They also have snow cones. Flavors include: grape and blue raspberry. The people there are friendly and the service is great. You can eat your ice cream on the patio with the beautiful colored lights and chairs, as well as there being umbrellas being available to sit under as well to stay cool. Prices are just amazing for some yummy ice cream! ($6.75 for a double scoop in a cone, can't go wrong) It's unbeatable! I highly recommend coming here. You won't regret it. Long lines? No problem! The wait is worth it! Will be back :)Update: I came back yesterday and got a double raspberry sherbet cone, but didn't receive it when I thought I would, so we reminded the person behind the counter about it and she gave us an extra scoop on top to apologize. It was no problem at all :) Dolly's, keep up the amazing work.

This place is convenient to get something sweet and cold after a hike in Pisgah. The rocking chairs and front yard seating are nice. They have a ton of ice cream flavors- though not much dairy free. The ice cream is nothing special. The high prices reflect location and not quality.

Tonight was the first night we came here. The ice cream was delicious. I have to give them that. However, when we arrived 30 minutes before closing they were shutting down. They shut down the credit card machine, and they only took cash. The person at the register was rude and told me that I would be helped by somebody else, I'm sure was just wanting to get off early. They also said that we did not get samples. That's completely fine. But I was halfway convinced that we didn't get samples because they were just wanting to get us out of their hair. We were not the last people there. Another couple came after us and they said that they could only pay cash because they had closed down the credit card machine. This was the same thing they told us. However, another couple came as we were sitting in our car and completely missed out on the opportunity to have ice cream 10 minutes before closing because they had closed 30 minutes early. Very disappointed!

Dolly’s ice cream is a great way to brighten your day. Even if they don’t have your old favorite camp flavors, the staff is quick to recommend others to try. I always go for Falling Creek Fantasy or Wayfarer Overload!

Adorable little spot right outside the entrance to Pisgah National Forest with tons of creative hard dip icecreams, soft serve, shakes, sundaes....and a couple non-dairy sorbet options too. The prices seemed pretty normal to me and we got our order super quickly. I was disappointed that the gift shop wasn't open but I certainly don't hold that against them!Also excellent people watching from the rocking chairs or the rainbow umbrella'd tables out front. Who doesn't love seeing adults light up with joy as they race the heat to finish their scoop before it melts everywhere?!?

This place is adorable, quick, and delicious! We were a little worried when we saw the long line but it moved quickly and was worth the wait. The service was terrific and ice cream was creamy perfection. We will be back soon!

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream. This place is amazing….Tried it for my first time and it was great. All of their ice cream is custom made for them and you can tell by the quality taste.A lot of different flavors as well as some crazy combinations.Give them a shot next time you are in Brevard, North Carolina!**Closed during the winter months every year**

A unique combination of local flavors of ice cream. A popular spot in the summer time with long lines but fast service. Staff are friendly and help expedite delivery with two separate windows -- one for ordering and payment and one for delivery. Nice shady porch to enjoy and sit a while. Local favorite is Illahee Swirl and Chosatonga Cheer. Parking can be a challenge but worth it.

I must have missed the gift shop for how happy we were with the icecream! Their selection was great, and they treated our 4-h group kindly, and the wait was minimal (we were more waiting on each other than an actual line.) The decor was adorable with all the bears and there was plenty of seating. We parked and walked over and glad we did, what a great place for a nice treat!

When I was young my family and I used to go to Dolly's every year on our annual camping trip. After not having been for several years my mom and I decided to go on Memorial Day and I have to say the quality has maintained excellence! There isn't a bad flavor, the waffle cones are fresh and crispy, they have snow cones, and non-ice cream snacks.If you're traveling around DuPont or Pisgah National Forests and want some great ice cream Dolly's is a MUST.

Cute, but $15 for two cones with tip… plus a 4% “customer service charge” if you use a card… but oh, they’re not taking cash right now… and also they “don’t do samples”. Ice cream was tasty but the pricing games leave a bad taste.Oh, and the hand dryer in the bathroom doesn’t work.

This was a great stop for homemade ice cream just outside of the Pisgah National Forrest! Service was good and the ice cream delicious. They are currently serving out of the ice cream truck due to some damage from a recently fallen tree to the main building. I think this has required them to reduce the number of flavor options, but the flavors we got were great! I would definitely go back.We had the Butter Pecan, Cookie n' Creme, and Cookie Dough. All were fantastic!

After spending a long day at Looking Glass Falls, Looking Glass Rock, and Sliding Rock this place was an amazing place to stumble upon.I had two scoops of cookies and cream and my wife got vanilla soft serve. The ice cream was refreshing and just what is needed after a long day in the Pisgah Forest!

Ignore the long lines. They go quickly. The ice cream is handmade, fresh, delicious. This is a perfect place to people watch. Kids, campers, tourists, locals. All enjoying ice cream. One note: the flavors menu can be overwhelming. The names are fun but not really anything to do with what's in the ice cream. And what's in the delicious scoops is all about the munchies. Really. Great crazy combos designed to satisfy the worst sweet tooth. Don't spend much time deciding. Just get anything. It's all yummy.

Very excited to find a high rated local ice cream place on our travels. Very disappointed in the service we received. The employee was not friendly and when we tried to pay with cash which we try to do with small businesses we were told rudely exact cash only. Our total was $10 and tried to pay with a $20. Tried to use cash to save the small business the card fee. Instead she up-charged us so we paid the fee. When we questioned it we were told “it’s only 30 cents”. Okay I pay your business expense and I don’t tip because we are not getting a basic level of service and being penalized when I did try to help by paying cash. Sit down to eat and realize we are the only ones being up-charged even though others were paying credit. Ice cream was average, service was horrible, and I would definitely not recommend. In the end we wish we had just said forget it and kept our $10.30.

Love Dolly's, but they are really inconsistent with scoop sizes. Ordered 2 waffle cones, double scoop. Look at the pic. Come on, guys. Pull it together or we'll go elsewhere from now on.

This place is so fun and always filled with local campers. They even have a flavor named for each of the local camps (at least two dozen!) Gets crowded on weekends and holidays.
