A very rude male employee yelled at me from the other side of the store because I grabbed a gallon of milk from the back of the refrigerator. Then proceeded to correct me as I walked to check out. The store had many people in line during this whole thing. Completely uncalled for.

This place is never open their sign says they are open from 8:00am to 9:00pm, the owners are inside the building at 8:46 and they have people outside of the store waiting and the doors are locked

>>little warning from a local<<If this store has hours listed please know that at least 80% of its listed hours it is not open. I have noticed that sometimes in the afternoon, if it isn’t raining, it will be open for an hour or two. The rest of the time there will be a note on the door saying they are at the bank and will be back in 30 minutes. But they never come back.I would recommend going to the dollar general down the street near the quarry.

This place is a complete and utter joke of a Dollar General! This store is almost never open and when it appears they might be open there is a hand written sign on the door saying that they had to go to the bank or somewhere else. If you do catch it on the rare occasion of actually being open, none of the shelves are stocked and the employees are usually outside smoking. Don’t waste your time going here!

BEWARE: My electronic coupons didnt work. Joe, who works there said if I added up were it said 2 cents off, 4 cents off, and so forth, that would total my coupons. I had $12. In electronic coupons. What he said totaled 0.73 cents if I remember correctly. When I asked for this to be corrected he said he could only do it if I wanted to go to the trouble of bringing my entire order back in and having him ring up each item to void it then raring it up correctly. I said that would be fine. It was obvious he wasn't happy. Needless to say this happened 7 times while I tried to get the sale prices that were advertised. I got many excuses why it wasn't working. 1. I had the wrong flyer. Which I showed him and it was correct. 2. I had already used the coupons, which I had not or I wouldn't be there doing the same order 7 times. 3. Dollar General changes their advertised specials several hours early before they close, maybe that happened. On and on it went. I was encouraged many times to just leave it since it wasn't working. I had a $100.00 order and I felt like I was treated very poorly. I could go on because I was there for 4 hours but I'll leave it at that. I've been a regular shopped at DG for years but this really made me wonder if that's the kind of business I want to support.

Easy to go in and out. I love to go here more than Wal-Mart. Most brand name things are available for a better price! Their generic things arw pretty comparable, also.

Store is a mess, doesn’t have products on shelves, manager is hardly there and she doesn’t do anything that a manager is supposed to do!!! The store is ALWAYS closed!! The employees are rude except for DK

The new dollar store by the triangle stop in Penrose I wouldn't give you $0.02 for that place I lost $100 bill they're the only one that was in there besides me and my boyfriend was the one that was running the cash register when we went back to look for the money they would not let me look at the cameras to see if I could figure out what happened to my money it was all the money I had so I will not be shopping in the new dollar store at all I will shop in the other dollar stores and I know that if this guy still works here then I am helping pay his salary but at least I don't have to look at his face after he stole from
