Asked for a bath and nail trim, with no clipping. After her bath, we received texted pics suggesting we trim her up a little bit. They asked for us to trust them as they do aussies and doodles all the time. Apparently, after the first trimming they thought it wasn’t short enough, so they took it upon themselves to continue trimming from four and half inches of fur down to a half inch of fur. To add insult to injury, the trimming is completely uneven and got down to her bare skin in some spots. I had to even out her face myself. My dog was butchered and now has no fur to protect her in the coming winter months. These people are amateurs. A professional would have known to stop. A professional would take accountability for their mistake. Instead, my wife was charged a $150 for this debacle. In my opinion, Critter Cuts exists only to give these women a place to go and socialize, as they are not serious about their work. Be warned. Go elsewhere.

For two years I have been going almost monthly to Critter Cuts to have the nails of my two dogs trimmed. In fact, its the only place my 1.5 year old pup has ever had her nails done. The tall younger woman who works there has always been lovely, gentle with my dogs and friendly. She always says how sweet are my dogs. Today there was an older woman there (the owner) with thick 80s style eyeliner. She let a large male dog outside unattended where I was waiting with my 2 dogs on leash. This dog was larger than both of my dogs and mounted my male dog, who was understandably displeased and growled at the larger aggressive dog on top of him. There was a bit of a snarling match but no harm was done. When the older woman finally came outside to get the larger dog, she did not ask if my dogs were OK, nor did she apologize. Instead, she glared at my terrified dog like he should be put down and slammed the door in my face. My dogs will miss the nice young lady who trimmed their nails for so long - but none of us will miss the mean eyeliner lady.

We were looking for a new dog groomer for our Border Collie Bode. After reading all the positive reviews on Critter Cuts, we decided to give them a try and are so glad we did. When they met Bode, they did all the necessary(!) fussing over him, listened to what we wanted for his grooming and when we picked him up, he looked handsome, relaxed and just as we hoped he would. Price was reasonable and we will use Critter Cuts again as we need to. Nice women who do a good job!

Yesterday I brought my very large and very nervous young Great Pyrenees mix to Miss Allie for his first grooming and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did she do a drop-dead GORGEOUS job on his super long and thick coat, she also made sure he was calm and comfortable for the duration of his visit. Her love of dogs and the special care she took with each one really came through. I'm very grateful to have found her, and I'm very proud to support this business.

Ali is the BEST! It seems no groomer want to do large breeds!I have a Great Pyr and Ali it so sweet and loving to her she doesn’t even mind getting her hair cut! She always leaves looking so sharp,Bright white and she feels so frisky afterwards!

Absolutely the best groomer in Transylvania County. Seamus is difficult and yet they showed him understanding and love....and he is now excited when we arrive. He still can be difficult, but they love him just the same.

Started taking our toy Shih Tzu Willow here two years ago and found that this is the place to take any dog. They love and treat them very special. Cut and shampoos are VERY reasonable. I have continued to enjoy doing business with them to this day. I highly recommend them !

The only groomers in the area who were willing to do my grandfather's long-haired cat -- at a fraction of the price that I expected! They must have treated her right because afterward she was way more relaxed than I have ever seen her before. : )
