Had to go in an edit my review because my experience today was a perfect example of terrible customer service!! As I'm entering Elijah's the cashier's line, he's just looking but didn't greet me, so I asked, "Are you open or is this an express line?" He then turns and looks at the sign and says" well the express light isn't on so clearly it's not express!" It took everything not to say anything but use the kill them with kindness method. I did speak with the assistant customer service manager about the situation and she stated she would speak with him. Keep in mind I spent near $100 in a store that I felt I was belittled and mocked really. What happened to great customer service these days! I hope this isn't the face they want to represent food lion.

The cashier we just got at this food lion. His name was Chris and he was AMAZING! Greeted every single person with us and asked how we were did everything with a fantastic attitude and acted like he enjoyed his job and just life in general! I was trying to submit feedback that would actually go to his MGR but there's not a place for that, so I guess Google it is! I hope it reaches someone who can let him know he is making a difference in the world!

Always a great visit, but today I arrived before buffet set up...I'm a Executive Chef, the steam wells below the ready to eat food we're the worst I'd ever seen in my career. Absolutely disgusting. When I say the worst I'd ever seen, it doesn't even describe how gross it was, if I weren't there just for dog food, I would gave left.

Food line is starting to carry more Keto friendly items. It's easy to run in there and grab something you need. Staff is friendly and you can usually get in and out in a minute, there is usually a line or two available.

Aside from having to use self checkout the shopping experience was ok. The store sale did not match the price charged at checkout with my MVP but the associate corrected the issue immediately! They had all the items I needed in stock and that is what matters to me!!

Cool shopping experienceUpdate: My partner and I'd give inside for a few items and were happy about the service we'd received from management. The environment is friendly and welcoming and so are the workers. The cashier and bagger were absolutely polite.

They have some very unprofessional staffs. I had one of their staff screaming Japanese to me a while back, just because I’m Asian. I also ran into staff making fun of “the way I walk”. I don’t understand why they think it’s appropriate to say that to their customers. The only reason why I ever come to this store is because it’s close to my house. But really I don’t think it’s worth the trouble.

For some reason people park in the firelane here. I don't feel safe knowing that if a fire happened. The fire department wouldn't be able to get to the store because of this. I feel it's because management neglects to address this problem.UPDATE: Firelane problem still going on.Also, the beer cooler has been down for over a month now, I would love to purchase from here while I do my normal grocery shopping, but will have to stop at the convenience store because I don't like hot beer

needs more registers and self checkout. sometimes the cashiers can be a bit rude. they do markdowns on meat two times. but i wish they had more options of meat to choose from. Also wish they had markdowns on produce and dairy items.

Average selection, fairly competitive prices and live humans who handle the checkout. Yes, real people at the checkout! Associates at this location have always been helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Store always seems clean and stocked. Good job!

The older lady working on 11/16/22 during closing was very rude. She didn’t bother to speak. Rolled her eyes when I was placing my items on the belt. Completely ignored me when I was talking to her as if I wasn’t even there or said anything. Throw my items down after scanning them. Didn’t want to bag my order. Didn’t bother to tell me my total. Flicked my receipt and sat down on her chair afterwards without saying anything once again. BUT the lady with the faux locs that did bag the order for me was very sweet.

The only reason i come to this location is because it’s close to my house but I think I would drive the extra mile to go somewhere else. when checking out I alway feel uncomfortable the past few times either it’s the customer or the cashier making smart remarks.

Check expiration dates on EVERYTHING! They don't check dates on anything and I've regularly found items that expired months ago still on the shelves.

A good Neighborhood Grocery Market in the Whitehall area. Usually everything is well stocked, along with better than average prices, and sales, and usually friendly staff as well.Pretty tasty salads and bakery Goods in the deli area.I stop by here fairly often.

I have been going to this Food Lion location for the five years I have been living here. I have noticed the decline in customer service and the staff recently, but I didn’t say anything due to the challenging year we all have had. Today, my husband experienced the most unsatisfactory service today. The clerk that rang his items up never proceeded to shift his groceries to the end so that he could take them. Making it impossible for him to grab the grocery bags for himself. The clerk was also on her phone the entire time she rang his groceries up. After returning home and discovering that she didn’t hand him all of his bags, he had to go back to the store to retrieve it. Once he brought this lack of service to her attention she simply gives him a shrug and looks away. This type of service is rude and it is unprofessional. Immediate action needs to take places in your store’s next staff meeting. I won’t be going to this location anymore.Clerk description: African American female, age 35-40, black hair, long eyelashes.

Outstanding customer service.I use the term “outstanding” purposefully as this location stands out among all of the Food Lions in the Charlotte area. This location does NOT deserve the aspersing nickname of “Hood Lion” because the staff is built different here! One employee I can identify is named James. Not only did I witness him walk all of the vulnerable staff(i.e. women) to their cars after closing time, but he even waited until all of the vulnerable staff members left the parking lot and gave a honk of affirmation before re-entering the building. This was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving when most people are rushing home to get to their families, but James took care of his staff. These are the types of actions that breed good attitudes and a happy work environment for all. I love that the staff is usually pleasant and having a good time while working. On this particular Tuesday, my car died and I relied of rides to get to and fro. While I was waiting for my cab, my phone died :( because of James’ outstanding service, I felt comfortable asking him for a personal favor. My experience with this Food Lion location has been wonderful and I would be happy to do more shopping here.
