This is our second time taking our dog to the Grooming Room for a hair cut. The first time was this past March, which I included photos of that show him with a thicker, combed tail. The most recent time was the 31st of July and I was not impressed with the haircut due to the groomer removing/shaving off 3/4 of his tail, but I went with it since not much was going to be done aside for letting him regrow his hair. As days went by, we noticed a small section at the base of his tail where the skin looked irritated and the hair wasn't growing back. Then earlier last week we noticed the spot getting more and more inflamed and it really starting to bother our dog. I called the Grooming Room today (14th of August) and spoke with the boss. Little to no sympathy was shed and I was just told of the precautions they usually take (which in this case they clearly missed) when accidentally nicking an animal with a razor. She just proceeded to tell me their usual sterilization process and stated that next time they will do a better job. Not once did she ask about how our dog was doing or how they could help the situation or even offer to help with the vet bill due to their mistake. My wife and I are really praying he doesn't end up with lasting damage to his tail.

The grooming room does a great job. I didn’t care for the small children of one of the employees running around with ice cream cones. While I was waiting, one of the children was sitting in the only chair in the waiting area. Nothing against the children.

I have used Grooming Room for a few years for my three dogs, but not again. My poodle was left with hair only about 1/4 inch long, including his tail. My lhasa had half of his tail shaved, and his ears and face completely cut short. They don't look like the same dogs.
