I want to give a well deserved shout out to Connor (cashier). I stopped in Sunday afternoon to pick up a few items. The store at the time was packed. Although there were only two lanes open plus the self checkout he didn't panic or seem flustered at all. I was about third in line and he was super professional with every customer as well as acknowledged everyone. I think management could have handled the lines a bit better, but this cashier proved to Food Lion and the Customers his great attitude and caring. Great asset to the company, don't lose him.

Kim Leftwich is what makes this store one in its own. I have rarely seen a manager go so above and beyond in regards to customer service. The store is well stocked and well cleaned, but this specific manager is exactly why this review got 5 out of 5 stars.

Employees are always very helpful and go the extra mile when needed. The store is clean and well stocked. They do a good job with curbside and delivery. Prices are reasonable and it is centrally located in Pilot Mountain. Also very close the interstate if you’re just stopping by.

Their incompetence is astounding! They either don’t pay attention to their pick up orders or they don’t care. I have shopped at the store for several years and have noticed within the last six months, they have not gotten any of my orders correct. If I was able to, I would shop in person but I am disabled. I will definitely be going to Mount airy from now on, even though it is a little bit of a drive.

Unfortunately my trip here was okay until an employee decided to invade my privacy. As you all know thieves in stores have ultimately caused this. Now everyone, yes even old grandma is guilty until proven innocent. I go in and spend our hard earned cash, and can't even have privacy to check out my groceries and im talking about turning the volume down on the machine that lists every single thing you scan and how much youre paying for it, I guess this employee thought because we turned the volume down ut was okay to come walking over and throw her arms in front of us and push buttons on the machine while we were swiping our card. This particular employee should be re-evaluated for the way they treat the customers. Employees everywhere in these stores need to stop the PROFILING! Take a look at your pathetic selves! UPDATE: I am so disappointed this continued to happen. Employees at this food lion profile people. Do you like checking out your groceries with someone staring at you the entirety of the time? Staring in general is rude. If you cannot do your job without being rude find another employment. Let's get real for a minute. Society is fearful of everything, thanks to fear mongering. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be mindful of how you treat people. Let's even go back to the golden rule for a second here, food lion employees, would you like to be profiled and judged for the way you look? I could sit here and do the same thing to you as you have done to me, difference is I know thus behavior is wrong and was raised to know better. You should be ashamed as to how some of you treat people. Learn to respect people, learn to treat people as you want to be treated. It's pretty sad I'm having to tell you this when your parents should have taught you better.

In 2023 with inflation so high nobody can afford to spend hard earned money on food that they have to throw away before they can even use it. Place was good for a while but now they put vegetables/fruit and meat on sale only when it’s going to expire in 24-48 hours. I had to throw out 3 packs of ground beef on 2 separate occasions because they turned gray and smelled like musty sweat after only being in my fridge for 24 hours and my fridge is almost as cold as the freezer and have no issue keeping meat fresh from other stores. Have had to throw away a lot of berries and asparagus because they mold so fast and the asparagus stays sitting in a container of stagnant water in their produce section. Have had better experiences with other food lions so I’m not sure why the quality has been decreasing at this location so much but it is what it is. Won’t get my wasted money back

Youre basic clean and neatly stocked grocery store nothing stands out besides the hot food bar and section which is the reason this gets 5 stars and I will say most of the workers I've seen are usually in good spirits and happy to help!

If I have to buy groceries I prefer doing it at Food Lion. But I admit that I am not a fan of self checkout at Food Lion or WalMart not for a big load of groceries. Give the checkers their jobs back unless you are going to lower the prices for the customer doing all the work.

I worked here at this Food Lion for about a year, it didn't take long for me to become one of the hardest workers there! Although the only people to have noticed are the customers and fellow Coworkers, I lost my job a few days ago due to the Manager Tina, there have been extensive reports of many people leaving or being let go because of her, she takes around 4 cigarette breaks a day and barely helps out like a manager should, she is unfit to be a manager and it baffles me that she still is, I now have no place to work but I have hardwork and dedication waiting to be put to the test, other then that 1 manager everyone was friendly and I had no problems with them, I've worked in multiple departments and I've seen at least 2 live cockroaches in the store! 1 in the breakrook and one in the backroom, the meat department stays clean but Produce has a problem maintaining their cleanliness as well, I am highly disappointed that they never asked me for my side of the story and therefore will never be going here again! IVE QUITE LITERALLY PUT BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS INTO THIS JOB AND GOT NOTHING IN RETURN

This store is quite clean and employees are friendly however, it seems like someone doesn't know how to do schedules. Lately, it's been either cashiers are hanging around going crazy, practically grabbing the shoppers to come into their line or there are not enough registers open and therefore the lines are four or five customers deep!!!

My husband and I go here often as we live less then a mile away. Great service EVERY TIME we go in!! Sometimes you can tell when employees have had a long day but still go the extra little bit more out of their way to still give good customer service. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

I shop at this neighborhood Food Lion on a regular basis and really enjoy it. The staff are very helpful in assisting you if you can't find something you want. They will also assist you if you need help loading your car. I didn't even ask for help loading mine and 2 pretty female employees just started unloading my wagon for me. Very Nice People.

I shop here all the time and the management runs this store well. They always have what I'm looking for and at checkout there's usually someone standing near the register's ready to take you in. If it's crowded they will have one worker bag while the other worker rings up the items to keep the traffic flow moving swiftly. If you shop here regularly like I do get yourself a Good Lion Card for Great Discounts and Coupons by Mail !! 👌

The check out time was minimal & there was someone bagging your groceries as they were coming through. Plenty of all products & good selection. Good sales on lots of items! Great place to shop for groceries!

Poor customer service, store hard and unsafe to shop in due to excessive items they are stocking laid throughout the isles. Forget shopping here if you need to get through the isles with a wheelchair. Employees throwing items over the isles into another isle while "playing" with each other makes shopping here a hazard. Will not honor manufacturer coupons even though they verify they are not expired and for the item purchased because for some reason their system wasn't scanning them. Overcharged by $10 right at closing, thankfully we were able to get in before the doors were locked, and their response was "it happens". I'm sure they would not feel "it happens" if it happened to them.

Ive been shopping at King Food Lion for 5 years. The Store is extremely clean. Always have stocked shelves and most of all the employees are friendly and go out of there way to help you!!

I love to shop here but I have been shopping at Walmart unfortunately because they carry my coffee creamer. Food lion has not had International almond joy creamer for 7 weeks, Walmart is able to get it so I just shop there instead of making 2 trips. I would much prefer food lion.

It’s the only gig in town, so whatcha gonna do? It’s never busy and they keep the shelves stocked well. The meat quality is great and the expiration dates are well into the future. The staff is friendly and efficient. They actually have good sales- you can get way way better deals on 12 packs of soda vs Walmart.
