Right now I will rate this at a 3 star until I get services completed. I came in today to try and become a new member and left out feeling confused and thrown to the side. As I was politely asking questions in reference to services the front desk staff was very short with me and it was like pulling teeth to get information. Ultimately I finally got an appointment. I guess I'll change my review after services are given to still give the doctors a chance cause I was recommended to this vet, but if I'm treated as I was today smh. My money is just as good as the lady that was standing behind me💯‼️

Best vet I've ever been to. I've been going here for a little over 15 years with multiple dogs. The staff are some of the nicest people and they always show the up most care for my babies. They always keep you up to date with any vaccinations and are fantastic at helping work with you to understand everything that is going on with your pets. I put some pictures of pets they've helped me with. They truly are some amazing doctors and techs. You especially can get some great help from the wonderful woman sitting at the front desk, Jessica. Some of the best services ever offered. Thank you guys.

Normally take both my cats to get their nails trimmed each month. One hid before I got her in her carrier, so took the other. Finally found her and whisked her to the vet's just prior to them closing. They took time to clip her nails too. Appreciated so very much.

I had Andy my cat almost 13 years ago. He has always went here for his shots and if he was ill. They always worked around my schedule to see him and took very good care of him. Andy became an angel this week and they have been very loving in this process. They allowed me to have as much time as I wanted to say my goodbyes. And they have not gotten mad about me calling in to check the status or add ink prints from him but I think they know he was like a therapy animal to me. I'm just glad even in the afterlife, I know Andy is being taken care of. Also shout out to Vinny and Jessica. They are always awesome and very helpful.

I'd give them 0 stars if that was an option. This vet cares only about money, not the health of animals or helping them in any way. The front desk person, Jessica, is rude and has zero compassion. STAY AWAY. You will just throw your money away.

Things are a little different in covid-times, but I'm still so impressed with how appointments are handled. Like many places, you call the office when you arrive, they confirm why you're there, and someone comes out to take your pet inside for their appointment. When the staff called me to take payment I was asked if we'd like to go ahead and do an upcoming vaccination and save a later trip - which I greatly appreciated - and to confirm the prescriptions I needed refilled for my pup. When her appointment was complete, my pup was brought back out to my vehicle and I got a quick summary of her visit. Our girl loves seeing the vet, and I appreciate that they care so well for her.

Pfafftown Animal Hospital has been our vet through two dogs, six cats, and two hamsters. You could not ask for a more caring staff. Lucy definitely doesn't like the rectal exam, but we are very happy with the staff and services provided. Highly recommend. 🙀

We put our seventeen year old dog down and the staff were very compassionate and sympathetic to our family. Everything was done from our truck with with the upmost courtesy. Very good service. We will definitely be going back for vaccinations and care of our other dog.

One star is too high for this place after the damage to my best friend today. They shamed me into believing that there was a desperate need for tooth extraction, she had 20 teeth removed at their direction. She is now at the emergency vet with blood profusely coming out of her nasal cavity causing her to have trouble breathing. The two places I called before finding a place to bring her to tonight were horrified that any vet would remove that many teeth at once due to these types of occurrences and the extreme pain and stress it puts on the animal.Please note other than bad breath she showed no signs of her teeth hurting her. She is a 17# Shih Tzu who is 14 years old and still goes for walks everyday.The vet even shamed me one last time as I paid her "discounted" $3k bill.How they have an almost 5 star rating is amazing to me. Do not believe it. This is the only review I have ever written in my life. I just hope it spares someone else

“Pfafftown Animal Hospital is really awesome! Dr. Livengood knows her stuff and she has always done what she can to help us get volunteers for the rescue too. They are very good about treating my babies during office hours when I have something come up. That doesn't even bring into account all of the last minute appointments they squeeze in for our rescue emergency Danes. I have no complaints at all. They do a thorough job of checking my pets out when I take them in for their annual checkups and everyone is so friendly. These guys are the best!! Highly recommended!!! 5 Stars all the way! *****
