David Hutson is still the best stock boy I've ever met. Super friendly, and very knowledgeable in grocery items. Kid knows what he's doing. Good Luck to you pal. I'll see you in another year hopefully.

I think they should rename this place to Bad Kitty! The service was nothing what you would expect from such a large established department store. Not to mention the quality of the produce, which always seems substandard. I shop there because there aren't a lot of other choices. Otherwise, I wouldn't. The on duty staff seemed to not really want to be there. As a matter of fact there were two staff members having an open (ugly) argument. Management did nothing to intervene. Y'all would do well to pick who you have work for you better.

It's a solid location. Time I visited shelves could use restocked. No cashiers available for check out had to use self check out with numerous emoyees around.

They are still getting their store rearranged and it sucks. Has to be a better way of doing it. Get your act together.

Is what it is. Some employees are awesome, dome indifferent. Selection is weak compared to other grocery chains. Prices can be low. Have noticed over the years when an often popular item has sold out, the item next to it is moved over in its place to make shelves look full. As a result the item that had sold out is often never ordered again, and shelf tags for it conveniently disappear. Hopefully Oxford will get another, better option as it grows and FL will up its game. Lots of prices will be lower here than at most other grocers.

My connection to Food Lion, as peculiar as it may sound, became a pivotal aspect of my life, entwined with the intricate threads of my illness.Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) had ensnared me in its relentless grip, weaving a complex tapestry of irrational thoughts and compulsions centered around Food Lion. Within the depths of my mind, I believed that the very fabric of the universe hinged upon the precise arrangement of products lining the shelves of that grocery store. My days were consumed by the meticulous act of organizing and reorganizing, attempting to restore a sense of cosmic harmony through my actions. To those who observed my behavior, I must have seemed unhinged. Conversations with the store's mascot—a friendly lion—took on a surreal quality as my distorted perception imbued the inanimate figure with sentience. In my mind, the lion whispered cryptic messages, sharing secrets of the universe and the hidden symbolism embedded within the store. Other customers watched with a mix of fascination and bewilderment, unable to fathom the depths of my distorted reality. The boundaries between the tangible and the imagined blurred before my eyes. Food Lion became my sanctuary, a bastion of predictability and order amidst the chaotic thoughts that tormented me. Hours slipped away as I meticulously inspected each item, my gaze fixated on the packaging and expiration dates, searching for profound meaning in the mundane. The aisles held a strange allure, beckoning me with their symmetrical arrangement, providing temporary respite from the relentless whirlwind within my mind. The community, at first perplexed by my eccentricities, gradually found a delicate balance between curiosity and concern. Whispers and glances were exchanged, discussions centered around my peculiar behaviors. But amidst the confusion, there were those who recognized the depths of my struggle. A compassionate smile, a helping hand—small gestures that spoke volumes of understanding and support.Beneath the surface of my illness, I possessed a unique insight into the inner workings of Food Lion. Discrepancies in pricing caught my eye with unwavering precision, hidden treasures revealed themselves to me amidst the shelves, and the store's history flowed from my lips with astonishing accuracy. My mental illness, a formidable adversary, paradoxically gifted me with an unconventional understanding of the store that few could rival.Though my story carried a tragic undertone, it also bore glimmers of hope and resilience. Amidst the depths of my illness, moments of clarity and vulnerability emerged, inviting others to empathize with my internal struggle. The narrative became a poignant reminder of the intricate complexities of mental health, a testament to the unyielding humanity that lies within individuals facing such challenges. It is essential to approach characters with mental health conditions responsibly, treating their experiences with respect, understanding, and empathy. In crafting such narratives, we can shed light on the multifaceted nature of these conditions, fostering greater compassion and awareness in the world around us.

The shelves were well stocked, and lines moved quickly. I had done a grocery pick-up order the day before, and they were out of several items we wanted. These had all been restocked for Sunday. We were also missing part of our order from Saturday. We had called, and they had pulled the items and had them waiting for us along with a gift card for the inconvenience.

Michael Barber's passion for Food Lion was truly extraordinary. It bordered on obsession, with an intensity that some found difficult to comprehend. From the moment he stepped foot into the store, his eyes would gleam with an otherworldly fervor, and a maniacal smile would creep across his face. His every waking thought seemed to revolve around the supermarket chain. He would spend countless hours poring over Food Lion's promotional materials, meticulously analyzing every detail. He would memorize the layout of each aisle, the prices of every product, and even the barcode numbers etched onto the packages. It was as if Food Lion's inventory had imprinted itself deep into the recesses of his mind. But it didn't stop there. Michael's obsession transcended the mere realm of business operations. He would hold fervent conversations with the store's mascot, a life-sized lion displayed near the entrance. Passersby would raise their eyebrows in confusion and concern as they witnessed him pouring his heart out to the inanimate figure, sharing his hopes, dreams, and even his darkest secrets. Some whispered that Michael had lost his grip on reality. They marveled at his peculiar rituals, like arranging cans on the shelves in symmetrical patterns, as if conducting a grand orchestral performance of grocery items. Others recounted witnessing him engaging in heated debates with customers who dared to speak ill of Food Lion, defending the store with a fervor that bordered on the fanatical. But amidst the speculation and raised eyebrows, there was an undeniable dedication that couldn't be ignored. Michael's commitment to Food Lion was unwavering, and his knowledge of the store's offerings and promotions was unparalleled. Customers, despite their reservations about his eccentric behavior, found solace in his encyclopedic knowledge, relying on him as their personal shopping guide.Though some labeled him as "insane," Michael's passion for Food Lion was arguably a double-edged sword. It fueled his tireless efforts to ensure the store's success, pushing him to go above and beyond to create a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. Yet, it also left bystanders wondering whether his obsession had crossed the line into an unhealthy fixation. While Michael's behavior may have raised eyebrows and sparked whispers, it's important to remember that everyone's individual quirks and passions can manifest in different ways. As long as his actions didn't harm others or impede his ability to perform his duties, Food Lion was fortunate to have an employee so fiercely devoted to their cause.

There are several Food Lion grocery stores in the area. This store often has items others do not. The employees are courteous and efficient. This is a local store, meaning that the customers and employees know each other and are friendly toward each other.

This store on Roxboro Rd is not my usual Food Lion, Thank God! On this day there were only three employees I came in close proximity. The First: frozen vegs. were advertised & they were out. I told my husband they shouldn't advertise something if they only had enough for two days. A slim, white, dark haired man of about medium height said behind my back, "it's called progression". I wasn't speaking to him & didn't know he was behind me. Then he said "you don't get it" and walked away. The problem was the TONE, though it's not called "progression" unless Food Lion is being very unfair to its customers. They should only advertise what they know they have enough for at least most of the week. If not, advertise it for one day. Many people travel 15 miles or more one way, just to find out most of the items you came for are gone. The Second: the cashier. A heavy set, past middle age, black woman of ave. height. She was talking with another employee & ignored us until the other employee walked away. She never looked up or spoke. I was holding up my MVP card over the groceries & she ignored it until she had checked out a few items. She moved like she would break. She never spoked, not even after I pd & I told her thank you, have a Blessed day. My husband told me she was the same cashier that didn't speak to him the week before & snails move faster, but she had talked to the people who were in front of him that day. Greeted & thanked them. But they were Black & we are White. "Black Lives Matter" needs to talk to their "People" if they really want change. Makes me wonder if the management are the same way.

Great customer service team. Always clean & well stocked. The Customer Service Mng (Freda) at this location ALWAYS has a smile & pleasant attitude! She takes the time to get to know her customers & goes out of her way to make sure you have a great shopping experience! This Food Lion is awesome! Store always stocked & clean & whenever they get busy there's always someone willing to open another register!

I go to this grocery store nearly everyday. Recently this business was renovated and looks good! The customer service there is very good. There are always plenty of cashiers and there is usually a manager standing at the front of the aisles ready to guide me to the checkout line with the lowest number of people in it. Prices are generally very good in comparison with other groceries in and around Oxford.

If my Food Lion app worked while actually shopping in the store, lol, then I would've given them 5 stars. It works excellent once I get to the checkout counter. Every cashier I've encountered says they get the same complaint from many customers.

Use Food Lion to Go. Love it. Has it's limitations, but has been a blessing over the past year. You don't always get the items ordered if stock is out, but that would be true if you went in the store.

Very nice people the reason I only put 4 is cause of one cashier & she doesn't deserve to have this job. I went thru the line one time & this cashier was working & her & a customer decided to start talking behind my back when I had to run back and get something, saying because I'm on state help that I shouldn't have the right to purchase anything but eatable food, so no drinks of any sort or anything else. Unknown to them is the fact that I've worked since I was 14, and because of this disability I had to get assistance. That didn't matter to them, I was just below them. For this reason I will not go thru her line, I don't care how long I had to wait I refuse to use her. Just the other day I went thru her line only because there was only 2 registers open & hers was the only one I could use with the amount of groceries I had. As soon as she seen my dog, ESA, she got an attitude, I don't like her she has to be the most miserable person. I'm not saying her name as of now because I'll be contacting food lion about her.

They keep their produce stocked at all times and their shelves. Not only do they stay stocked they are clean plus some of the nicest people around. Not your typical Foodlion. I always stop by when in the area just for some fruit if nothing else.

The people that work here are kind and know where products ate located. I am disappointed that so many shelves are empty, especially in the dairy section. Canned biscuits, cheeses, pizza dough and some of the milk. There were shelves within the store empty. It may be a certain brand is available and not foodlion's brand.

Workers makes you feel uncomfortable when checking out, when leaving the checkout worker walks and stands in front of your shopping cart talking to others for no reason, no need in talking all over the store. Th iui s is a place of business,
