After arriving I was very disappointed to find that the pool was closed. It was cloudy and green. I was never told that the pool was closed I would have not booked there if I had known.Also the kitchen has a standard stove top and sink but the fridge is too small. Especially if you need freezer room. The floors were sticky and damp. I never saw one bug or spider. That was a plus. I will probably never go there again.

Very nice place; the staff was very friendly and helpful. The tv wasn't working in the living room and they immediately sent someone and fixed it. The suite was clean and spacious. A whole one bedroom suite for the same price as a bedroom at many other places. Nice small town with lots of places to walk to. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Stayed on dock. Great location. Tiki cash bar is fun. Nice looking pool. Showers & good laundry available for transients.We enjoyed the 'Srimpalooza' lunch/potluck to raise money for local charity with live music.Staff very friendly and helpful.

The marina offers electricity, water, and true high speed wifi. Piers are in good order. Boaters may use hotel amenities such as the pool, showers, restaurant, tiki bar, etc. The location is great: one block from the downtown area. A coffee shop and a well stocked marine store are right next to the marina. Free pump out available at the free city dock, which is right next to this marina. Fuel is also available.

We didn't stay in the hotel but did eat at the restaurant. I noticed the Health Department rating was 90 so that was a bit concerning. We were told 20 minute wait by a hostess who seemed like she didn't want to be there. The wait was 30 minutes for a table that had been empty the whole time. Maybe they were waiting on another waitress to arrive I will give them that, although they were not busy. However, Jackie, our waitress was wonderful and attentive. I did over hear an employee complaint about not getting her day off requested to hang out on a movie night with friends. So, she was not i to her job and it showed in the work I seen. Tables not being fully cleaned, food thrown on the floor and not cleaned up that sort of thing. The food, very good we each got a basket and there was plenty of fries and onion rings along with what we each ordered. Would I go back? Possibly but I would explore other options in Oriental.

I spent a week here while riding Cycle North Carolina’s Coastal Bike Ride. The rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly and fun. The hotel has an outside bar, the Tiki Bar, that is both a local and guest favorite. The bar is cash only. Also, there is a restaurant onsite that is open every night except Tuesday. When I was there it was also open for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The food and service is excellent. It’s also frequented by locals. The marina is well maintained and has a fuel dock and laundry. It is frequented by travelers using the Inter Coastal Waterway. It’s a great place to watch boats and people.Al that said, I’m going back because I enjoyed the place that much.

Stayed on my boat on the docks, but it was a cool environment, and the owner was friendly. I had a drink and some fries at the bar and grill, and the drink(white russian) was delicious and well made.Food & drinks: Both were great.

This establishment is terrific!On the waterfront. Great restaurant on the waterfront. The Tiki Bar is so much fun. The entertainment was awesome! I highly recommend the Oriental Marina & Inn.If you stay there, you won't be disappointed!

Stayed here on a fishing trip. Very convenient and their outdoor area is really relaxing. We had a boat slip as well so we were only steps away from our boat.I wouldn't consider this luxury but the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, and the employees are nice.

Stopped here several times to have a drink and enjoy the area. Friendly staff, clean area and very nice outdoor area for dining and drinks. Nice view of boats and just a laid back feel for relaxing.

If you're looking for a great value and experience, this is one of the best places to stay in the area. The hotel is a little rough and outdated, but the character is truly amazing. Besides the room being a little outdated, I will say the bed and pillows were better than a nice hotel in Vegas. We stayed in room 20, one of their large suites. If you have a few people going, I recommend getting the larger suite. You have everything you need; water view, pool, restaurants, bar and friendly hotel staff. There is even a brewery that plays live music walking distance away. We will definitely be coming back. M&M is another restaurant close by that is also good.

Oriental is great. Classic southern hospitality. Clean, hot showers with plenty of soap, shampoo and towels. The Tiki Bar has admirable service considering most of the food leaves a lot to be desire. Crab dip appetizer is excellent and the pita chips served with it are the best I ever had. Homemade salad dressings are tasty. Should have gone for just those two things and maybe desert.

Very nice marina located on the ICW/Nuese river. We spent a night on our way north.24/7 clean showers with soap and towels.Restaurant & fuel on site. Loved the Tiki Bar overlooking the marina.

Great place to stay, everything was awesome. The only negative thing I would say is they need to replace the faucets in the room.Staff was great, very friendly and helpful.Joe was perfect, very pleasant.Looking forward to visiting again.

Free docks, free hot showers, coin laundry, friendly folks at the inn. Our friends enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We hit the Sat morning farmer’s market just off the end of the docks. The kids and dogs had space to run around. The community group bike ride appeared to be getting under way. Small organic market and shop with everything we needed for our boat. My kid of town/community!

Good sopping point. Marina and staff pleasant and helpful. FYI Slips are narrow for beams more than 14.5. Also, shrimps boats just across the fairway have their generators on 24/7 - very noisy and will vibrate the hull of your boat. We would have stayed more than one night if not for that.

We had a nice dinner at the Toucan. The food, I got a fried seafood platter, was quite good. The onion rings were excellent. The beer was ice cold, although I would like a wider selection. You can watch the ships bobbing in the marina while you eat and there is outdoor dining if you want to bring your furry buddy.

Stayed for one night at the marina in front of the hotel, tiki bar and restaurant. We were in the middle of the action that's for sure. Very cool lawn with dogs walking, chairs and neighbors to chat with. Paul and Tom were super helpful with the lines and the fuel. We were there on a friday evening and the Tiki Bar was jumping with regulars and sailors alike. Everyone in Oriental is really happy to live there, and share their joy of the place. It is definitely a throwback kind of town. They love their lifestyle and are extremely welcoming to all visitors.We walked a short way into town and bought some fresh shrimp from the local fisherman. Superb. We ate at Toucans and the food was fantastic, however, they don't have enough help so service was really terrible. Get there early to avoid the crowd after say 7pm.

A good hotel at Oriental. Service was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. The 2 bedroom suite with a pull sofa was comfortable for 5. The kitchenette was nice for heating light meals and the refrigerator was great.The Tiki deck was good for get together and catching some spring sunRecommended

This place is pretty good. Good location off the pamlico. Very friendly staff. The one thing I would like to see is something to control the flies. The flies on the porch at the restaurant are overwhelming and it takes away from the experience. It would be great if they could get some fly paper to control the flies. Otherwise I liked the location, food and staff.
