Can’t beat the seating and view right on the harbor. We got there around 11:30 am and was able to get a table. Soon after we were seated the wait was 30 mins or more. Amazing fried seafood platters (clam strips basket & fried shrimp & oysters) for lunch! Beth was personable while busy and we appreciate the great service. The host (he’s from NY) was fun to chat with too! We also bumped into other locals, overall a great place to chat and hangout by the harbor.

the wait was only about 10min to get an outdoor table in shade. bethany, our server was fantastic. she was attentive, sweet, respectful, accommodating and quick. the food was perfect. not overly greasy, good menu selection & portion sizes. it was delicious and perfect with a natural open scenic view of the marina. beautiful. thank you for this experience, we will be back again.

This restaurant stays busy all the time so if you are going around peak lunch/dinner time, then more likely you'll have to wait for a table. They have limited seating however they have a nice bar area which is an option too. The tables are outside and in the pier so be ready to deal with wind, maybe a bit of rain, and the sun. The view was great, their food was good, fresh shrimps, nothing that blew my mind. The service was quick and the service was friendly and fast. It's a great place for everyone, they have a small but good menu. Recommend it 🔥🔥Parking: Very limited parking may be best to get there walking

We are here late in October the day after the pirate festival on a Sunday. The food was really great. We got fresh flounder as catch of the day and oysters that came from cedar island. Everything was fried with very light batter. No oily taste. French fries were great as well. Overall an outstanding meal. Highly recommended. Note that it does fill up quickly. We got there at 11:30 and grabbed the last table available in the back of the bar.

Excellent service and decent food. Seating is outfit right on the harbor. You’ll enjoy good music, tasty drinks and well made. I highly suggest their players if you like sea food. For my peeps who don’t enjoy sea food they have burgers, wraps, and chicken sandwiches.Parking: Across the street in a dirt lot.Kid-friendliness: The staff is great with kidsWheelchair accessibility: They have ramps and accommodations.

LOVED THIS PLACE!! We took a planned trip to Ocracoke while vacationing in the OBX but hadn't done any research on places to eat beforehand. After spending hours in the crystal clear water we both decided burgers sounded amazing for a late lunch. This restaurant came up highly reviewed for burgers, seafood, beer and a scenic view. Molly, our server, took great care of us and was just the sweetest lady we'd met on the island! The food was absolutely amazing, despite ordering turf at a restaurant by the surf. Our drinks were good and we had a great view of boats coming in and out of the sound. Would definitely visit again if we're out that way in the future!

Was the only waterfront restaurant in Okracoke. There was a line for tables but we got lucky and got 2 seats at the bar. Just wanted a drink. We decided to get the mimosas since it was a mimosa bar. Unfortunately it was not that great. We should have just gotten 🍺 beer. Service was good. No liquor here just beer and wine. Can't review the food since we didn't have any

Great outdoor dinning with a view of water and boats. Today's was a little bit too windy but I am sure on a nicer day it would be perfect for lunch or dinner. We ordered a basket of fried clam and a crab cake sandwich. The fried crab cake was moist, not much fillers, and with a touch of seasonings. The fried clam was tender, flavorful but a few was gritty. The sides of pasta and fries were good. The wait staffs were friendly and attentive. Overall, it's definitely a place to spend some time while in Ocracoke.

Back again after a couple of years… same great place. Had blackened mahi sandwiches. Absolutely delicious…Previous review (2021):Great patio bar. Would be there everyday if I could or if I was a local. Great views of the marina and just a mellow spot to sit, drink and eat some lunch. We had blackened mahi featured sandwich and mango/shrimp wrap…. Both were excellent.

We wanted somewhere to eat before our Ferry to Cedar Island. My husband wanted some “real” seafood. We parked at the ferry and walked over at about 11am. We were seated quickly right on the water and had a short wait for our food. He said his fish was grilled perfectly and my chicken sandwich was the same (seasoned well also!). The four of us ate for under $75.00 which is pretty unheard of at a seafood restaurant in tourist season. Thanks for a great experience!

Good food and service! The atmosphere is spectacular! Fishing boats were coming in and docking, unloading their catches, which was really cool to see! We watched the fish being cleaned as we ate. The restaurant is right on the marina. This was the most interesting place I've ever eaten!

Always very busy. Popular spot, especially the bar. Great sunset view and friendly staff. Food was okay, but pricey for the quality and portion.Had a great experience a few years ago where they cooked meals from the fish we caught on an excursion.

Great location. Scenic views right on the harbor. Great service and really good food. Ordered the Shrimp Po'Boy which came out on a bun instead of a hoagie roll like I've only ever had, not sure if that's an Outer Banks thing but it was the best shrimp sandwich I've ever had.

June 28, 2018. The day we visited, it was very busy. 20 minute wait, staff were helpful. just be prepared to have plenty of time to enjoy your food and the view. We had to get our food to go due to the ferry leaving. The Blackened Mackerel was very spicy!

Food was good. My issue was standing and waiting while other workers walked passed me. Nobody said the hostess stand is on the other side now. So after a few minutes, I walked over to the other ramp and said "I didn't know there was another ramp over here." The bartender was talking to the host,which is why no one noticed my son and I waiting in the wrong area, she heard me and said..."What? 25 years ago?"...I said No, 2 years ago...then it was said oh the hostess stand moved. She wasn't necessarily mean but I don't understand why she would even say anything. I thought it was rude and I particularly didn't like it. I think our waitress was abbey and she was very nice and the hostess was sweet too. Don't know what I did to make the bartender make me feel like a dumb tourist but she should be a lil nicer considering it's the vacationers that keep places like this going.

Love coming here and watching the action. You can watch the boats come and go while enjoying a beer or grubbing out.Honestly everything here is really good. The chicken is amazing. Taco Bowl was really good. I always come home with a stack of plastic cups.

Fun & lively outdoor waterfront restaurant. Staff are all friendly and helpful, quick with the drinks. Of course the seafood is fresh, tasty and done to perfection. Grab a Tshirt around back with the dock master and say hi to his friendly pupper.Don't miss this place when on island.

It was good.. Everything is fried so be prepared for that... I ate some peel shrimp.They were good.. The waitress we had was kinda rude.. Until it was time to get her tip.. The hostess was more help than she was and our glasses were always empty. It does have a beautiful view and looked like you could get service to your boat.. But I'm not sure about this.

SMacNally's is by far the best place for a burger at Ocracoke. The food is great and cooked well. The seafood tastes super fresh. Love the outdoor setting. Seating can be an issue at times. I make this a go to place every time my wife and I visit Ocracoke.8/2020: Back to Ocracoke for another year. First stop fir a place to eat, of course, SMacNally's. O man they have such great food and never need to change. Got the black n bleu burger, (pictured below). Soooo good! Sooo juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries are also soooo good! My wife got the shrimp salad, as usual. I always get to taste a piece of shrimp. Very tasty and fresh. Also the salad bowl they make is very unique and original. Much more so than back home. I will be back another time or two during my stay. Keep going SMacNally's, you guys are awesome 👌 👏 😎 .

On our trip along the east coast we had the idea to drive the Outerbanks (OBX) as well.Here we are more or less stranded in Ocracoke because on the day no more ferry drove.We went to Smacnelly's for dinner and got an excellent shrimp plate. You tasted that it was fresh shrimp and these were also prepared super. Fortunately, we came in time, it was already relatively full and it was closed at 8 o'clock.We recommend it to come to smacnellys !

Cute little place off the water so lots of seagulls. Keep a close eye on your food as we watched one steel a cheese stick from the table next to us. The curly fries are amazing. Relaxing atmosphere and the service was quick.

It was our first time eating AT a restaurant in over a year.So glad we chose SMacNallys. Waterfront table on the dock was perfect. The oyster plate and shrimp po boy were really good. Pasta salad with roasted peppers was flavorful. The Cajun tartar sauce would be delicious on anything. Whoever made the hushpuppies knew what they were doing! They were perfectly cooked, light and airy. Molly was friendly and attentive. A credit to the restaurant!
