Fantastic service! Carts were clean and operated perfectly. Gentlemen explained all the rules and even took the time to show us some interesting spots on the map. Took the time to set up a child seat and seat belts for other younger riders. Our group rented a 6 person and 2 four person carts and were very pleased. Prices were reasonable and we were given the option to stay out past our rental time and catch up on the extra fee when we returned. Definitely recommend!

I wish I could give 0 stars. These people are rude northerners, use wheelie not these clowns. I rented a cart from these rude people, they called me saying it needed charging, and would I bring it buy too swap out. I didn’t have time, We only had two days on the island, and drove down to the parking spot near the airport. We went flying, and they called and asked where the cart was. When we got back, the cart was gone, and when I called them. I got a rude man saying we took it, and we could walk. Just normal rude northerner’s. If you want to leave Ocracoke in a great mood, stay away from these clowns 🤡

Rented 2 carts both worked very well and were clean compared 2 other rentals on island. Granted their not new but I seen other rentals from other companies that looked like they got them from the junk yard. They are very quick to help with problems and answering the phone. Not saying we had problems.... other than my kids lost the keys. So ya they were helpful

Excellent company with great staff who go above and beyond. Shout out to “Ryan” who found my daughters wallet and mom’s birthday present and mailed them out the next day to us. Clean carts and were at our house when we arrived. Highly recommend!

The carts are dirty.The worker who rented the cart to us used obscene language.They do not tell you to rent less hours and if you use more hours pay for the extra hours when you turn the cart in. If you pay for extra hours in advance and do not use them you will not get a refund.The rates for a cart are cheaper at Wheelie Fun Cart Rental just past Howard’s Pub as you enter Ocracoke Village.

What a great business. Honestly, the service, pricing and accommodation of change is amazing. Cart was parked at our rental long before we arrived. Cleaning crew was busy, so we just jumped into the cart and enjoyed a couple of hours driving around the village.Our first time to Ocracoke, so we thought we could drive the golf cart to the beaches. The village is pretty small and we have no problem walking a mile or two to shops and restaurants. Most places are a short walk from where we are renting too. So I called and they happily refunded the difference between our week-long rental and just one day. They came by to pick up the cart 20 min after I called asking if I could return the cart early.

The golf cart was at our rental and plugged up ready to go when we arrived. The guy also came out to us and rang us up for payment very convenient. He was super nice , also offered if we needed anything to just call them. No complaints so far we are still here using it but so far has been one of the highlights of our stay having the golfcart. Definitely recommend these guys and their golf carts.

Hand's down, THE place to rent from on the Island. We took our teenage girls for a day of Ocracoke fun and knew that a golf cart had to be involved. We came in via Hatteras Ferry, parked at the other end of the island and walked the super short distance to Ocracoke Island Golf Carts. The nicest guy had us almost immediately in a great little cart with a powerful battery that was ready to go for our entire adventure with offers to just "bring it right back and we'll swap it out if the battery runs down or there's any other issues!" It took almost no time at all to rent and we had a blast exploring all the amazing little streets. It is the best way to get around! We were having an incredible day until we ran into a snag at a local eatery that kept losing our order and it took an hour to get our food instead of 10 minutes. It seriously ate into our golf cart fun time and made us run over a little on our cart rental. We took the cart back and the same guy was just so incredibly nice about it. He didn't even ask why we had run over, he just said "No worries! Can I throw away any of your trash for you?!" and told us to have a great day. I was blown away. Who has customer service like that anymore?! I didn't even have to give a sob story! I promised him we'd back and would only be renting from them from here on out. To the (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) "long haired, surfer like dude" : Know that you spun our day right back around to the level of perfection and we can't thank you enough! A+++ 5 out of 5 stars. Highly Recommend. Must visit.

We can't say enough about this business. I hear there is another golf cart rental company on the island. We won't entertain another. We rent a golf cart from Ocracoke Island Golf Carts every time we visit the island. We recently visited in March 2022. They were not yet open for the season. They still went out of their way to help us with a cart. We have twin 4 year olds. We needed car seats in the back of the cart. When we arrived we noticed the car seats were not added to the cart. A gentleman that works at Island Golf Carts happened to be driving by on his day off. He stopped to ask if we needed help. We explained the situation. He asked if we would be okay waiting a few minutes. He wanted to run to get a key to the office and install the seats for us. Great people and amazing customer service! Thank you! We are returning in May and we will rent from Island Golf Carts once again.

We rented a golf cart for a few hours during our visit to Ocracoke. SO MUCH FUN. I thought the price was fine. $35 for a two hour rental for a four passenger golf cart. I think it would have been $45 for three hours but we only needed the two. They safely installed a car seat for my son and gave a thorough run down of safety and rules within a golf cart. If you can drive a car, you can drive a golf cart here! I would absolutely utilize their carts again and be happy to do so! They also have six-passenger carts but it’s first come, first serve so far as I know (maybe check the website and see if you can reserve online). Great time, very accommodating guys.

Great business. We were unsure about renting a golf cart and had a blast running around the island. The people at Ocracoke Island Golf cart s we're so super helpful and telling us where we could ride around and see places on the island. I highly recommend them

I do not recommend this place. We just recently rented one of the 4 person golf carts and we had 3 people and a dog and we we’re just trying to get to the Fairy and return there golf cart and we pulled up and they came out and yelled at us in front of everyone there saying that we need to get of the golf cart Immediately. I really do not recommend this business.

They made the whole thing easy and fun! Easy to work with and schedule, friendly over the phone and in person and golf carts were clean and in great shape.They even installed the baby seats and picked us up at the local airport.Our choice for the next trip:)

Our battery ran out premature and the guy gave us extra time! Very friendly place. We rode the golf cart all day and really got our money out if it. They care about their reputation! Check it out!

Easy to get too. Didnt have reservations for the week...(we'd advise making them), the "other rental place on the Island didnt have a cart left to rent (Sat to Sat rental). The other place saw us walking to Ocracoke Island Golf Cart Rentals, and generously picked us up and gave us a ride here. Nice kid at the counter. Has us checked in and done in less than 10 minutes. Cart is fine, no problems yet (5 days so far). I have a Ford Raptor pickup truck which is awesome on the beach, but a golf cart is way easier around town for shopping, dinner, sightseeing, etc.

Reasonably priced, decent carts, convenient to South parking lot. We revved a cart from them and it was a good experience. They were friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced. A good cart is a great way to get around the village and this is a great place to get a cart.

Most unprofessional business. Made reservations ahead of our family vacation, and the reservations were confirmed. A week before we were to arrive I receive an email, not a call, stating they can no longer honor our reservation and they are booked. The choices are limited on the island and having the arrogance to treat customers with no regard is unacceptable.

Love these guys! We have rented multiple carts from them the last 2 years in a row. Their customer service cannot be beat. They delivered our carts to our hotel (The Castle), and then when we switched to our rental house they moved the battery plug ins for us. One of our carts got a flat tire and they were out ASAP with a new one. They were great. Also - if you stay in Ocracoke, I DEFINITELY recommend a golf cart. Besides being super fun to drive, they are also easier to park anywhere you go. They also really increases the vacation/away-from-it-all feeling to run to eat, or get coffee, or groceries in the breezy golf cart. Love it!

Idk what happened with the lady who poasted the review before mine but we rented a cart today and they were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I literally walked in and in 5 mins i was driving off with my golf cart. Thats including the time it took him to install the free car seat that my young daughter needed. I couldnt be happier. Everytime i come back il be renting a cart from Island carts

Great service and close to the ferry terminal. Try to get off the ferry quickly and get over there. The line forms fast after a passenger ferry arrives.

A must do when visiting Ocracoke Island. Easy to drive, affordable, well kept golf carts equipped with lights for 4 and 6 passengers. It was so much fun driving around the Island with our family. Highly recommend!
