Visited in late December, many places were closed, but Kitty Hawk Kites was open. Browsed the store lots of near trinkets and other souvenirs like you would expect at the beach. Gentlemen working was very nice.

The best $8.99 you’ll ever spend! Their mini kites had the attention of my three boys - and their dad, too! My little, teens, and husband were all having a blast with two of their easy flyers! My only regret was not buying more!

You may want to let your customers know that no “ice cream” is allowed in your store. Food and drinks are one thing, but when you are located next door to an ice cream shop you should be specific. You are a terrible person. You made a 70 year old lady cry this evening because you yelled are her in front of other customers. You are a bully and you should stop working there and taking advantage of tourists and elderly patrons.

Great little shop right before you get off the island. Grab a couple of souvenirs that didn't bust the wallet. Nice little shop.

This place as a parent really upset me. I get making money and a "small" upcharge but this place is just ripping people off. Really realy taking advantage of people and charging over 5xs the price of items. Worst part is that it's a :kids" store so they're just screwing over the parents. The owners should really be embarrassed for the business they're running. Disgusted.

I wanted to run in and get a tank top. How long could it take. As we walked in at 5:59 pm the sales associate says “you have 1 minute we close at 6”. First of all that was rude.Second of all we may have ended up spending $100 or more.I had a run in with the same man 2 years ago and haven’t been in since then. I thought I would try the store again. But NEVER again. He needs to have some training. I have been in retail management for over 40 years and have never told my associates to run off a paying customer like that.This is a nice island and we have been coming here for years and at least 3 times a year.Owner needs to get a grip on things

Kitty hawk kites use to give veterans discounts. I went into buy my 5th Life is good tee and overheard manager telling customer to tell salesperson that she lives on Island so she could get a discount. I decided not to get another one.

We stopped here to find kites for the beach and the guy working there was great! He helped us pick what we needed and they have a great selection of not only kites but everything! Couldn’t be happier

Great store to pick up kites, Beachwear, sandals, and other cool stuff. Right next door to an ice cream shop so it's a great place to stop pick up some souvenirs, grab some ice cream, and relax for a bit.

If you are looking for specialized kite parts, you need to head to the main store near Jockey's Ridge. Otherwise it is a really quaint location with a lot from which to choose.
