We took a quick trip with the family for spring break and booked a few nights at Captains Landing. The staff during the entire process was unbelievably welcoming, and the check in process was smooth. Upon arrival to the room we found that it was very clean and the 1st floor view off the back deck was stunning. My family enjoyed our 1st trip to the island and we are already planning on another one towards the end of the summer. Thank you CL staff for your 1st class service.

The sunset view from our balcony. The entire trip was amazing. The room was very comfortable and clean. We stayed 3 nights and rented a golf cart from the hotel which is definitely recommended. We met the owner and she was lovely and spent a lot of time talking to my older parents. I would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting the island!

I called to make reservations last minute (literally on the ferry there). Betty was very accommodating, without us asking she checked with housekeeping if our room could be ready for an early check-in. Major plus! We arrived around 12:45pm, got a pizza as Betty suggested and she welcomed us to the hotel by inviting us to up to our room. The view is breathtaking and the room I would describe more as a condo or suite. Fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils; dishwasher and the most important on my list: coffeemaker, filters and coffee. It also had one & a half bathrooms and a gigantic porch overlooking the safe harbour. Betty even provided her cell phone number and she was genuinely happy to hear about our adventures throughout our stay. We stayed 3 nights and will be back, thanks to their attention to cleanliness & hospitality. We genuinely felt welcomed and can't wait to see our Ocracoke family again!

The suite was clean, well maintained, and had the best view on Ocracoke. Deena and Betty were so accommodating. We rented bikes for the week but ended up only keeping them 2 days. Betty credited us for those days and we got a golf cart instead. The gift shop has quite a selection. The items are of great quality and prices were extremely reasonable. We had an amazing week. I hope to stay there again in room 201. Breakfast on the balcony/deck was fantastic as was a glass of wine in the evenings watching the lighthouse across the lake. I usually stay in the Nags Head area but this is my new favorite. The room was certainly better priced than accommodations at Nags Head and the management more personable. Amazing week. Thank you Deena, Betty, and housekeeping staff.

My wife and I spent two nights and we can not say enough good things about the suite and our stay. The accommodations were spacious, well appointed, well stocked and spotless. The only thing better than the accommodations, were the Hostess and Host. The term Southern Hospitality must have been fashioned after Betty and George’s treatment of guests. The time spent with them was certainly the highlight of our stay. Ocracoke is well represented by their presence.

We have stayed here many times over the last 15 years. Always have had a great time! One of the best spots to stay on the island! Awesome view of the lighthouse. This year they brought back the Fireworks! No issues with Captains Landing, however the public boat ramp was closed when we got there and that made parking a little stressful. But Javier stepped up helping direct traffic and even offered his house to park the boat till the ramp opened back up.

Stayed here 3 years ago while in Okracoke and could not have had a better time. The rooms are cozy and very clean. The view is unbelievably beautiful. The staff were terrifically accommodating. There is a gift shop and golf cart rental on site. Captain's Landing is the perfect island accommodation.

Stayed in the wahab suite (202) and although we were only there for a night, it was lovely. Golf cart rental rates were reasonable, and we enjoyed our day on the island. The deck is literally right on the water and you get a great view of the lighthouse and the ditch where the boats come in. Daijo is right across the street and they have excellent food. All in all, a wonderful stay and we'd definitely come back!

Wish I could give that little Cottage just one more visit. My husband and I have been coming to this quaint little Island for 20 years and loving and enjoying every minute. Last summer was our first visit to the fish market and we were not disappointed. Another little Hidden Gem which we missed all those years that we could have been fixing our own dinner. It's now said with a heavy heart that I will no longer be making this journey as my husband has passed. Our one place we looked so forward to all year was our little cottage by the ocean ( captain's landing). Thank you for all your past kindness. I will always hold this dear to my heart as it was wonderful memories that my husband and I shared. So now we pass the key on to you have fun and enjoy. Now it's your turn to make all those memories come true, on our little Island named Ocracoke.

My first impression was a good one. The landscape and building were very appealing. Our waiter called me sir which I thought was very southern hospitality. Our food was absolutely excellent. The wonton seafood salsa was amazing and our sandwiches were as expected. I especially liked the French fries. They were very thin and crispy.

If you'd like to enjoy views like these, you need to book a stay at Captain's Landing! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They even offered contactless service during our stay, which was perfect for our needs. Even then, the service was exceptional and anything we needed was taken care of!

A friend and I spent Thanksgiving 2011 on Ocracoke and stayed at Captain's Landing. Our unit on the ground floor was great...easy access to the dock (right outside our living area sliding glass doors). George and Betty were so welcoming and we felt our every need was met. Beautiful views of Silver Lake, the sun setting and lots of water fowl for photographing. Perfect location on Ocracoke!!!

Can you believe the owner helped carry our bags up to our room? We were upgraded to a nicer suite on the 2nd floor also. These folks are #1 in my book.I must also report that right on the street in front of this is one of the very best decoy shops I've seen.We greatly enjoyed eduardo's taco stand, backporch/dijio's restaurants & maybe 1.25 miles out of town is a great beach. Bring sunscreen! I didn't.We took the free ferry from Hatteras which is about an hour trip now, and left on the Swan's Quarter ferry $15/2.25 hours and this for us was a quicker way back to Ohio.Stayed 4 days at Captain's Landing and really enjoyed our stay. Would go back in a minute.

Awesome view, comfy bed, centrally located, great service, they have bikes--way superior to any B&B, and anyway, the only place you should want to eat breakfast in Ocracoke is the little Mexican food truck on the way into town.

Excellent place to stay on Ocracoke Island. Our suite faced Silver Lake Bay with the Ocracoke Lighthouse in the distance. Good staff - good restaurants - good times!

the owners and staff are always available and very attentive/accomodating/supportive when things don't go as planned..twice we have had minor+ medical and provided great guidance each time..2021 Aug update, we stay here every year since first visit...the Chamberlains (owners) are as great as it gets as hosts of Ocracoke, NC...

Stranded in Margaritaville due to fog. This was our favorite place we stayed on the whole vacation and it wasn't planned. If I had it to do again, this is likely where we would spend the whole vacation.
