This place was so much bigger than I originally thought. Two floors of clothing, collectibles, souvenirs, jewelry, books, kitchenware, etc. There is even a whole room devoted to Christmas.Had a snack shop with cakes, pies, chocolates, fudge, coffee, and ice cream. Fudge was ok; definitely wasn't freshly made.Staff was friendly and helpful. If you're in the area, you should definitely check it out.

Great store to shop at! Great gifts, and great variety of gifts. The interior is decorated well, and it has a good dessert shop. Definitely worth the visit.

5 STARS...Tons of gift ideas here. Super friendly staff that greet you at the door. 3 stores locally and I always find something to buy. Very clean and there is room to move around in. Cute and southern all the way.It is what North Carolina Beach feels like, southern CHARM. I know some visitors don't get it but DON'T leave a LOW star reviews because it's different to you. Ya'll are here to accept the southern charm ways, remember you came here on vacation or moved here.Mermaid Cove is perfect and don't change a thing. Love ❤️ love love.... 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review....

Great place to get really nice different beach decor. This place is really big and yet have so much to set. You really have to take your time because it's easy to overlook that item that you might want.

Good selection of sweets, pastries and drinks, but I think it really adds up quick. We got a drink, a few donuts, a bag of taffy and a peanut butter cup and it was 42 dollars.I understand local businesses have lower profit margins and they need to raise their prices… but wow.

Large store with many themed rooms. Very cute. A cafe is attached. The cafe menu is so extensive that it's rather bewildering. Personally, I'm wary of eating at a place with a menu that's too extensive. Still, a great place to shop with family, since folks who don't want to shop can wait it out at the cafe.

I love this place! They have something for everybody! All of the mermaid stores are amazing! The boutique is great! Home Decor! Clothing! Jewelry! Gifts! Toys! Every time we go to Oak Island this stop is a MUST. Friendly and clean!

Let me start by saying I NEVER do reviews.This place is 2nd to none. The owner and the gentleman behind the counter on the ice cream/coffee side are extremely nice, professional and have AMAZING customer service. I asked for two extra shots to add to my coffee after it was made because with forgot to ask before. They made a whole new drink and never charged me. They’re prices are VERY reasonable and this was a GREAT experience. Will definitely be coming back

I’ve been going to Oak Island over 30 years. Just found this gem a few months ago. Absolutely love this store. I got my whole family matching Christmas PJs. Can’t wait to visit them again in September.

Great cold brew! This year I brought my 3 year old nieces. They got ice cream, cotton candy, peaches and cream, & blackberry swirl. Great service from the staff including offering unicorn cones on top of the cups 😍 great family outing!

If I didn't use the GPS to get here, I would not have known it was there. I drove right past it! What an amazing store! They have everything for gifts or for yourself! My husband and I were helped with finding the perfect gift! There is an upstairs as well! They have a wide range of beautiful tops and pants and great selection on footwear! Don't take my word, please go and see for yourself!

Had 2 teenage girls order s’mores and then gave Carmel, told the workers it was the wrong flavor and they laughed and said they were right. Had to go back and buy another scoop of s’mores and compared. Very degrading on teenagers.

What an experience from beatiful clothes, great shoes, wonderful coastal decor, furniture and jewelry. The coffee shop was awesome too. They could use some gluten free options ! All in all a great place.

Love the store and products they carry. Nearly every room in my home has something in it from Mermaid Cove. Unfortunately, there’s a but… suggest staff to take a step back and allow customers to browse and shop without always being around a corner.

Loooove Mermaid Cove! This was our second visit to Oak Island and it would not be complete without a visit to Mermaid Cove! Love the apparel that they carry and the expanded coffee/ sweet shop. So much to choose from! Can’t wait until next year!
