This walking to the door only to see the doors locked and a sign on the glass, stating you're closed, is becoming very old!! Fast!!! This is weekday, weekend doesn't matter.No other store on the island does this. Or Is allowed to do so!

I was the previous manager . I was with them almost 18 years. Never closed because of computer problems ( poor excuse). I would like to apologize to all the customers who no longer have a clean , neat store that you can shop in. I definitely miss all my customers and all the people who vacationed there. My job was about you, not the greed it has become.

My last review was not long ago. I don’t know if they hired all new staff or what, but it’s improved a bit. The store is stocked well and the staff have better attitudes. I would not recommend shopping there on a hot day, though, because the air conditioning is only subpar.

TThe store was clean and easy to move around in but like all other Dollar General stores there needs to be more than 1 cashier when there is 3 or more people with quite a bit of stuffed in there carts. There is no reason to have 8 people in a line and 1 register open. Also you had windex refills marked buy one get a big roll of DG paper towels free. I told the cashier I wasn't sure if the ones I had were right or if it would come off without a digital coupon because I would use them but I wouldn't buy them. She said it would come off the end. Then she said well it took off .85 here and .15 there so that makes a dollar so it must have took them off. Well I'm thinking it also took off .41 and .57 but did that have anything to do with it? You really need to make it a little easier to tell what came off of what it at least train your cashiers on dollar general coupons

All was great at this store until the last manager quit. After almost two decades with the company, something must have gone downhill. I can see it myself, because things are not getting restocked in a timely manner. WORST of all the last few weeks the store is barely open. Closing before 5pm and opening really late. They need staff? What is the issue? This is a big company, where is the district or regional manager to help solve this?Bad look for this company.

Store hours vary day to day. Isles are cluttered and in disarray.It is just not this store but all over the country. Dollar General better get you act together and support your stores and brand. I and other customers will no longer make DG stores our first choice. Wake up....you have competition out there !PS. Your employees try very hard with what they have to work with so you can't blame them.

Need accurate store hours. Online states open at 8 on Saturday and Sunday but there is a sign on the door that states 9.

They had what we needed and Lindsey is a great cashier, so friendly and nice. Definitely deserve the 5 Stars I gave it.It's a shame that since I left my original review, all the excellent staff have left the store and aIt is now terrible. The store is a mess, the fire dept has shut it down a couple of times, they close it during Nirmal store hours and employees change constantly. I would give it a 2 star now. And only because it is on the island and sometimes has what we need. It's very sad to those of us that know how it used to be.

This used to be a really nice store, but clearly something has happened with managemen & staffing. Popped in there yesterday and there was a sign saying closed from 1-5, went back this morning and it was in such a disastrous state, I couldn't even remember why I went in there! Food piled in carts, milk and refrigerated items sitting out, crates and boxes everywhere, stuff scattered about but nothing in its designated place, virtually impossible to move down the aisles. A person with limited mobility would be in danger in here and if the fire Marshall walked in, the store would most definitely be cited for multiple violations.

Used to enjoy coming to this location and getting what I needed. Since the original staff and manager is no longer there, they have completely went down hill. The place is a wreck or more like a fire hazard, they seem to have a hard time stocking the shelves, and most of the new employees are not very friendly. I don't recommend shopping at this location.

The isles are packed with unopened merchandise. The shelves are empty. Sign on the door they are closing at 5 today.This is the third Dollar General that is closing during normal business hours. The store on Oak Island was really good until the last manager quit.

Great place to find many different things needed for your household. Especially like that you pay less for some things than you would at Walmart. I like the cards they carry. Paper products can be picked up for a good price. I even found a few good graduation gifts for my 5 year old grandson that was graduating from Preschool and going on to kindergarten. Glad to see one on the island as I went to the previous sure in 211 often. Love the decorative boxes they carry, too. Occasionally I can find the cereal we like for a very good price,too. Worth checking them out. You never know what you may find here and pay lowest available price for it!

This was the worst DG that I have visited. The workers were uncaring of long check out lines. The shelf stocking was spotty. Some aisles had many blank spaces without merchandise. Everything I went there looking for I had to go to another store to find. No flip flops, no sunscreen, and no sunglasses. This was a sad showing!

Store is never open when I go there. Says open until 10pm tonight (1/14/23). Closed at 9:10pm. A lady locked the door in my face recently at 6pm.

Dollar General is in every direction, from my home. They have many items I didn't think a dollar store would carry, sometimes the label you want too....if you're picky (like me on a few things). Convenience is key when you are as busy as this Broker and caregiver.

This place is better than expected. Didn't ship at DG before moving here, but it saves me trips off the island going to Walmart. Only going once a month as opposed to every week or two. Staff is friendly as well.

Great place to make a quick pick up of food, cleaning supplies, paper goods, greeting cards, toiletries, baby needs, gifts etc. Reasonable prices, courteous employees. Happy to have this store on the island. Convenient for sure.

Just like any other dollar general, I expected to see some beach related touristy stuff not just some beach chairs out front(with no pricing) I expected some oak island shirts or something, and some fishing supplies would have been cool. But nope just like evey other dollar general I've been to.

Supposed to open at 8a. Went by at 9:15a and still not open. At least put a sign on your door. Your parking lot was crowded and everyone was heading to Food Lion. Shame on you Dollar General!

New store, aisles are tight when stock is being put up. I like their prices on cleaning supplies. Decent grocery section with refrigerated and frozen food sections. Ample parking and conveniently located.

The people are very nice but are a little slow at the register. The remodeling looks great. Love how they have stuff organized.
